Just spent 5 days here. It is in a perfect location, and our unit was spotless. The owner was accommodating and responsive. The outside is cute and Victorian, though the trim needs painting, and the building is old so it is a little rustic. The small 2 bedroom was a bit tight for our grown family(a couple and two college-aged daughters), but doable. The front bedroom, though tiny, had french doors that opened onto a small balcony. Very cute – think shabby-chic. The galley kitchen has an apartment-sized stove and fridge – no microwave, which was surprising. The large and pretty yard had several grills and tables and chairs or picnic tables for guests to use. The bathroom floor was damp(nothing gross) but there must’ve been a small leak somewhere. There is a lack of equipment in the kitchen – the inclusion of a couple more large bowls and a few more saucepans would have been very useful(tho one evening we really needed a bowl for a salad and the owner found us one right way…) But it was cutely decorated, clean and in a perfect location. It was also more affordable than anything comparable in the area we could find on short notice. If you don’t want anything too fancy, but cute and clean and close to the beach, this is a good choice

I would definitely NOT recommend this place to stay. We stayed in unit #5 off the side of the house. When we got there, the proprietor said he had just finished cleaning. Unfortunately, there were cobwebs all over, and my bare feet became sandy from the floor within minutes. The entrance is completely obscured by shrubs, and the outside light was burnt out. We had to go find a flashlight just to get in the door. The mattress groaned and squeaked when you sat on it, and we both got almost no sleep as it was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on. The comforter was very worn, and the pillows so thin they barely raised your head off the bed. The bathroom door doesn’t latch, and we had to move something over to block the door shut when using the bathroom. The living room couch is old, stained, and smells of mildew. We left and didn’t even bother to stay the 2nd night.

This place is way overpriced and unprofessionally run. Something is definitely odd, actually. They don’t take credit cards, you have to leave a cash deposit, and there are no lights on the property to guide your way in the pitch black night of this beach town which nas no street lights to guide your way. My second night the electricity went out, no one contacted me, or even posted a note on the door to explain the situation, in spite of my having left my cell phone # with the owner. I could not spend the night there with the air off, lights off, oppressive heat in the 90’s, and felt like I was in a Steven King story it was so creepy and empty. I also have not received my refund for the second night that I had had to pay for up front in cash. In addition, I called and e-mailed the owner but no one ever responded by returning my mail or calling me back to apologise or explain the power outage or assist me in finding another place to stay… to say nothing of returning my money. I would definitely not recommend this place. It was one disaster after another that even a cute room couldn’t make up for.
