The amenities and location are the stars of this place. Great pool, fitness facilities, dog friendly, social activities and striking lobby area. The new property management group however does not do Vanguard Crossing many favors. Very inattentive, no follow-​up on requests, the social activities seem to have diminished, a lack of basic levels of customer service… our stay here has been a good year and a half, however definitely ready to move on.

The facility itself is great. Everything you could want including a gym, pool, grills, covered parking. However, the new management is awful. The last few months since Fogleman took over this place has gone downhill. There’s always trash in the garage. Maintenance requests are not promptly taken care of and frequent calls have to be made to get it addressed, but phone calls/​e-​mails are not returned either. I’ve been down to the leasing office to personally discuss my concerns in person. There were 3 ladies at different desks, none of whom seemed to be particularly busy and I still had to wait until one of them acknowledged that I was standing there and needed assistance.

I moved into Vanguard Crossing couple weeks ago and it is fantastic! Noise levels are kept to a minimum and everybody is respectful. If there have been parties, I haven’t heard them at night. I had some friends over, no problem. Amenities are the best and can not be beat. Place is maintained super clean and by the next day, everything is restocked and reorganized. Every friend I have that has seen the place is impressed and agrees is worth the money. Haven’t gotten my electric/​water bills yet but I expect them to be pretty low. The Nest thermostat is the coolest thing ever. Keeps track of how many hours I’ve used energy for heating/​cooling. The crowd is a good mix of different age groups. Lots of young people but also families and middle aged/​older people here and there :) Love this place and location just can’t be beat. Every store you can imagine is 10 minutes away tops.

I have lived in Vanguard since May and absolutely LOVE it. It’s so nice to have such nice fixtures in the apartment and be pet friendly! I have not had any noise issues, but live on the 4th floor so there is no one above me.

Absolutely love this apartment complex! Moved in Oct. 2013. Wonderful people, wonderful community, wonderful amenities, wonderful atmosphere, and dog friendly! The property manager, Julie goes above and beyond to accommodate your every need… she is awesome and makes everyone feel so welcome! Jezo is a pleasure to work with as well! Maintenance is a breeze, Kenny is the man! Can’t say enough good things about the Vanguard team! If you are looking for the BEST apartment complex in St. Louis… you have found it… stop looking! :)

When I sold my house I was not looking forward to apartment hunting. Everywhere I looked that I thought would be great (Washington Ave., CWE, etc.) was overpriced, lacked parking, security, places to walk my dogs and no amenities. Vanguard has it all and fantastic neighbors too! No place in St. Louis like it!

Bright spacious apartments with fantastic amenities in a GREAT location… The staff here goes above and beyond to make this a community instead of just another apartment building… I can’t say enough about how attentive the management is… they are responsive and friendly, always doing their very best to make everything «right»
