I’ve been going to Dr. Amin for many years and I have always received excellent care. He’s friendly and concerned. He does a good job diagnosing your condition and prescribing effective treatments. He helped me turn around my diabetes and high cholesterol. The wait time is about average and the staff does a good job of squeezing you in on short notice. I would recommend Dr. Amin to anyone looking for a primary care physician.

I’ve been going to Dr. T. Singh in Upland, CA for a few years upon the recommendation of my GYN that I highly respect. Let me start with the good news: Dr. Singh is a very knowledgable physician. I’d give him 5 stars for his superior knowledge of medicine. I can highly recommend him for that… and that is the reason I’ve always put up with his bad attitude… until this last visit. His office staff is the most capable, quick, always on-the-ball, however, not happy. Now that the good news is out of the way, I’m here to WARN everyone about his &%$#@ demeanor and attitude. He has always been cold, dry and somber. Very aloof with an underlining anger. I’ve looked at him as a challenge to try to get him to smile. Impossible!!! OK, I can accept that! Brains are more important. So I put up with his always sour mood. But this last visit, two weeks ago, is the final straw and I will not return to his office. I will put up with a lot of stuff unpleasant people throw my way. But his anger and rudeness went over the top. I was there because I had a stomach ache. As I started to explain, he looked at my chart and immediately started in on me like a parent about to whip their child. His verbal attack started when he accused me of having IBS as assumed by my(regular, routine 10 year visit to the gas doctor). He spoke rudely to me and said«DIDTHEDOCTORTELLYOU, YOUHAVEIBS? HUH? DOYOUKNOWYOUHAVEIBS?»(No, I don’t have it) If he would have listened to me, he would have heard my symptoms. He cross examined me after I told him, last year I took antibiotics for a stomach ache with body aches and it cured me. Wow!!! He hit 60 miles per hour in 2 seconds and argued with me for eternity that that could not have happened because the regiment for H. pylori was complicated and a simple stomach ache would not have been solved in the manner I was explaining. In other words, he told me I was LYING! What the crap? How does he know? He cross examined me. For the next minute he railed against what over prescribed antibiotics have made a mess of the bacteria in this world, and on, and on, and on. I said to him«are you chewing me OUT?» He repeated my question and then said no. Wow, he was rude and unglued. He was completely unprofessional. Maybe he is going through a divorce, but he should NEVER speak to a patient like that. I will never return to him. Dr. T. Singh needs to get out of the people business and find a career that deals with machinery.

I get an all right quality of care here. Nothing to write home about. I get the impression that they’re short-staffed here; that or the glut of old people in the area keep this place jam-packed. Wait time is forever if you’re a walk in, and a bit longer than I’d like with an appointment. Dr. Amin is a crapshoot; though he seems to maintain the same level of professionalism and accuracy, he’s not always the same level of «nice,» if that matters to you. He’s never been rude, just sometimes dismissive. He does look over your file prior to seeing you if you’ve been there before. Finally, this is a teaching clinic; you may have to share information with med students. They’ll tell you as soon as they enter the room. This might sound like a minus, but they’re not quite jaded yet and it shows in their level of attentiveness and desire to provide quality patient care. Some students are smarter than others, but all provide at least adequate care, and you’ll talk with Dr. Amin as soon as they’re done screening you for him.
