Hands down, Best Mediterranean Cuisine I’ve Ever Eaten! Service with a smile, Excellent Edible Experience…

This inconspicuous Lebanese eatery is one I’ve driven by many times but just never really made an effort to try. Wow! Was I missing out! The food is savory, beautiful and unique. Located between Sammy’s diner and the Von’s gas station, Mes Amis offers Generous portions and welcoming service. Their current specials support breast cancer awareness and offer a buy one sandwich get one for a $ 1, wine ½ off on weds. And $ 1 tastings on certain days as well. They are open until 3pm for lunch and reopen at 5pm for dinner. 4 stars because I really, really liked the food a lot :)

I went twice to the one in Chino Hills, but so far from my stomping grounds then I found out they have an Upland location and go there once per week The champagne chicken is so good! The hummus is the best around. Great ambiance, excellent service and A+ menu

First, whoever is creating/preparing the food here has never eaten middle eastern food. The prices were so exceedingly high I opted for my go to favorites– tabouli($ 9) and baba ganoush($ 8). They came out in decent size bowls, much to small for the price, but come to realize they filled half my bowl with lettuce… so in actuality there is only about ½ cup of tabouli. And the taste… no lemon, no salt… no nothing, no taste. Then I moved onto the baba ganoush and after I picked off all the crap they put on top… it is so ungodly salty I couldn’t eat it. And that was NOT baba ganoush. Once again whoever prepared it has never had Middle Eastern food… that was overly salted hummus . I pushed it to the side and my waitress, who was very nice, asked me if I wanted a box. I replied no the baba ganoush is too salty to eat and she just responded, «so no box?» Bill totaled $ 12 for ½ cup of chopped up parsley. Completely over priced… all main dishes started at $ 27(chicken). And completely unauthentic in every single way.

I really don’t like leaving reviews that aren’t positive, but oh well, here it goes. We came here to try it out for lunch one day and honestly, to sum this review up in one sentence: For the price we paid for the food, I should remember a lot more about it than just the tasty pomegranate seeds in the hummus. It’s a shame really, I was really excited to see a Lebanese restaurant opening up because I do love Lebanese food. The place was empty when we came in, so we were seated quickly. The restaurant was kind of «cold», not just decoration wise but also staff-wise. I’m not sure if we entered in the middle of some kind of confrontation between the staff, however it was not a welcoming atmosphere at all. Regardless, we still sat down and balked a little at the steep pricing, but we had committed to trying the place, so we stayed. (And by the way, I don’t think that a table should be restricted to only 1 basket of pita breads … come on… most Mediterranean places that offer pita bread for the table will refill the bread basket if needed.) I ended up having an open-faced Taouk sandwich and I believe my husband had the filet mignon. The food was decent but the fact that I had to go look at their menu right now to remember what we ate tells you how memorable it was. It really didn’t give any impression other than being overpriced.(And again, don’t forget the pomegranate seeds in the hummus… very tasty!;-)) And I’m not sure why the waitress kept feeling the need to say that they«serve the sandwiches open faces because that is how our Chef designed it». Smoke and mirrors? No idea. Bizarre. There are other Mediterranean and Lebanese places in the area that serve amazing food that you will remember and come back for.(Even the same pricing is OK as long as the food is good!). Also, the atmosphere at Les Amis was less than friendly which is also unusual for a Mediterranean place, usually they are warm and welcoming. Maybe this place just wasn’t designed for our tastes and likes in mind, others may find it suitable to their liking but we probably will not be back here.

Wow! Was blown away by the quality of the food and it’s beautiful presentation of the food. It almost looked too pretty to eat. The spices and flavor was right on point. Everything blend really well together. Customer service was perfect. We were offered a complimentary wine that they had a special on tonight. She made sure our glasses were full when they were low. Was a bit pricy but definitely worth the money. Would totally recommend and definitely come back.

Food and presentation is excellent. I love that they partnered up with their neighbor Nail Theory for Valentines day couples package! My husband and I enjoyed the food and were honored to meet the chef! He is a sweet man. I will be going back again and again and again… local gem!

Best Mediterranean type food around, hands down. This isn’t a simple kebob/hummus place. You can taste the pride and care they put into their food. Try anything — I’ve had many things on the menu and all are delicious. Favorite starter is the Lebneh, favorite meal is the Meis Ami Salad with the filet.

The Upland restaurant is definitely one of my favorites. I love the fresh delicious, fusion and assortment of food. The only down side I have is that there is one server, who isn’t very friendly. But the food is worth it! I order out or dine in often.

Ok, I have to be honest, I have never eaten at this establishment so I am not here to report on the quality of their cuisine. I am a Lyft driver. As a Lyft driver, I have to occasionally drop in to businesses to partake in their facilities, certainly out of necessity. Last night I pulled into a gas station to do just that. I was in a rush since I had a client waiting for me to whisk them away to some magical place on a wild Saturday night. The gas station did not have a rest room, right next door was Mes Amis. I went in and very politely ask the woman at the bar, after telling her that I was a Lyft driver, if I might use the restroom. For the first time ever, the Response was no, that is for our customers only. I found this to be very tacky and unreasonable, and as a result, I will never use their facilities as a customer. Thats all…

Guess we won’t review the food here. Walked in 10 min after 9:00 and hostess said only orders to go because they close at 9:30… So why no seat us??? Unilocal shows a 10:00 closing time. Rude and poor way do run a business. We’ll go spend our hard earned $$ elsewhere.

We came to this restaurant which was packed. We saw the reviews and we were hoping for a wonderful dinner. We started off by ordering drinks. I was shocked when I saw the glass of wine for nine dollars. I thought they were joking! I thought it was the sample. The prices were extremely high and the service terrible. It reminded me of a fast food restaurant with exorbitant prices! We left before we got the food because when we tried to order the food they were out of what we wanted. I would not recommend this place.

We arrived around noon for lunch and there were only two other people in the restaurant with two waitresses on staff. The service is extremely slow. We told the waitress twice that we were ready to order and that we were in a hurry; the owner rudely told us that«things take time» and the waitress told us she needed more time before she took our order… They were unaccommodating to dietary/special requests and the staff did not know the menu very well. We enjoyed the food, but the service is lackluster. I have mixed feelings about coming back here.

Glad to see Mes Amis has expanded to a second location! Service here was just as great, excellent knowledge of the menu, very patient with my many questions and helpful. Décor and atmosphere is similar t the other location, the menu is identical. Prices are a bit high, but given the quality and care put into each and every plate they serve, it is justified, just a bit much to have all the time. The menu is simple and geared towards encouraging to share several small plates which was fun and beautifully presented. I am a huge fan of their sauces and flavors. The fries, cauliflower, falafel and all other items were a delight, I enjoyed each one. Tasty drinks, unique flavored teas and lemonade. Love their salads and they have a daily changing special on their menu as well. Taste and service is 5 stars, the price brings it down to 4 making it not a place to dine at daily, but worth checking out!

So I came here last night and so glad I did! My husband and I ordered the chicken champagne and the kebab plate and taste/presentation was Excellent!!! Now I read all reviews prior to going and I actually understood both sides of the fence good and bad. HOWEVER, like I said– food was really good. Some said other places were just as good. Where else around here compares to the quality? ?? That’s bs. There is none. Anyways, I actual appreciate this place. And yeah, this place might not be super busy but then again they are new. So stop judging and try this place and help them to grow. I’d hate to see them not succeed!

Our family has frequented their Chino location several times. We have never had a bad meal or bad service. Ambiance — they made the best out of the space. Nice lighting and colors. Very comfortable. Service — our food server was excellent. She gave recommendations and described the plates patiently. Never had to ask for anything; she anticipated everything. Awesome service! Food — as others have said, it tastes excellent and the presentation is perfect. We had the sweet potato fries, meat and cheese«empanadas», baby carrots and a chicken plate(all shared by my wife, my daughter and myself). Everything tastes amazing. Value — if it weren’t for the price of the food, I would have given them 5 stars. Now I am a type of person who doesn’t mind paying a little more for awesome food and great service. This place definitely hits both marks, but I still think it is a little too high in price. We ordered 4 small plates and they ranged from $ 7-$ 9 each. Although they were delicious, the portions are incredibly small. Overall, we will definitely go back to this place. Love the food too much not to return.

Having enjoyed and cooked Mediterranean food, I was amazed how delicious and cooked to perfection my falafel dinner was tonight. It was beautifully plated with a variety of fresh salad, orange, etc… delicious! Topping it off with a delicate baklava and an amazing ice cream with hints of rose and orange blossom. This is truly a restaurant to bring friends and enjoy amazing and really healthy foods. Everyone here was so helpful and friendly… adding to the great ambiance. The lunch menu has some of my favorite dishes… I’ll be back soon!
