Natee Poopat, M.D.

Had a referral from my Dr. and Called Dr. Poopats to make an appointment. The person who took my call was very rude and condescending. I did not know if my Insurance was a HMO or a PPO. It does not say on my card. She refused to help. I wanted to give her my info. Group number and all. But, She refused to help. She ozzed attitude as if she was getting a kick out of this. Instead of helping me I got comments like «well! I am sorry you do not know your Insurance» I know who it is and I told her it was CIGNA. Dr. Poopat, If you are reading this you need to know you have a problem with your staff and it reflects poorly on you regardless of how good a Dr. you are.

I have had 2 major medical issues requiring an ENT in the last 7 years (at least major to me), both requiring me to go out on disability. One was throat/​voice related and the other nose-​related. The first time around I was referred to Dr. Poopat by chance. He did a great job of assessing the problem and when he realized I had a very unusual issue, he sent me to the best in the business at Cedars Sinai in L.A. After more tests there and some rehab, my throat and voice came back to about 90%, which is great. And it all started with Dr. Poopat’s kind, patient and thorough manner. The second issue was more recent and once again I sought out Dr. Poopat. My insurance wanted to send me to any random ENT, but I insisted on Dr. Poopat and they caved in thankfully. Once again, he was nothing but kind, patient, thorough and accommodating, and he solved my issue once again. You can’t ask for a better ENT specialist. As far as front office staff, they have always been kind to me. Of course they have to make sure you have insurance and referrals and all that before they work with you, they’re not providing a free service. Plus they deal with a LOT of people every day because Dr. Poopat is so popular.

My son had surgery at this office this morning. I have had nothing but a fantastic experience. From 3 months ago for first initial appointment and through the day of surgery. Dr Poopat and his staff is very friendly and knowledgable, from the office staff, nurses, and anesthesiologist. Sure, the waiting time was a little longer than said, but that just showed me he takes good care of his patients and does not rush anyone through. After all, life is not perfect and should not be expected to run on time everyday. I would definitely recommend Dr. Poopat to anyone who needs an ENT. Thank you so much to your nurse, Phaka, she is very thorough and extremely kind hearted! Made me feel very comfortable.

My mom & I both see Dr. Poopat and have been very impressed with him and his staff. Dr. Poopat spends a lot of time with us and we never feel rushed. He seems very knowledgeable and caring. We also liked the lady who does the hearing tests; she is very sweet and seems very experienced. We’ve never needed to see the doctor on an emergency basis so I can’t comment on the availability of ASAP appointments but the doctor is busy and whenever I call for an appointment, it does take a few weeks to get in to see him. Despite how busy the practice seems, Dr. Poopat never makes us feel rushed or that he’s eager to get on to the next patient!

Staff is rude. I waited over an hour even though I had paperwork complete from online with me. there web site says state of the art facility. the ear test station is from WWII. then in my room was a giant desktop computer that said windows XP «expired about 6 months ago» and the fan sounded like it would break any minute. all the equipment I saw was very old. utensils were sitting in dry sterilization jar. the dr. was nicer then staff, but didn’t know what to do to help me. parking was poor and confusing to find the office.

Best doctor I’ve ever met !!! He is very kind, polite, and helpful. I appreciate his effort to explain my condition in an easy way. Great doctor with outstanding bedside manner !!!

Dr. Poopat is such a great doctor with kind heart. I can say he is the most caring doctor I have ever met.

0 stars: Office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. They gossip about other customers who are on hold as I am standing at the window. They have an «oh well» uncaring attitude when they are booked 3 weeks out for urgent/​emergency ear situations. Office staff needs customer service training.
5 Stars to the actual ENT Doctor. Thorough and great bedside manners.

HORRIBLE!!! Sat in the office for 1 ½ hrs waiting for my 3 yr old to be seen! After waiting in the exam room for another 10 min i saw he was with the people whose app was after mine! I left without my kids being seen. Unprfessional and flat out rude!

Review is strictly regarding the front office. Called in to make an appointment as a new patient based on the good reviews that Dr. Poopat had. Woman receptionist picked up and I was put on hold. Waited for about 3 – 4 minutes — which I didn’t mind and is normal when calling doctor’s offices. When the receptionist picked up again, they thought I was another patient. I told them no I am a new patient so they put me back on hold. Another 3 – 4 minutes pass. Finally the same lady picks up again and asked how she can help me. I again tell her I’m a new patient and would like to make an appointment. Guess what she does next? You got it — puts me on hold again… for another 3 minutes!!! I hung up the call at that point because if I have to wait more than 10 minutes to speak to the front office and get an appointment in, its just a bad omen on what is to happen in the future case I need to reach someone in the office. I read through some of the other reviews on here and all the negative ones seem to be regarding the front office.
Bottom line — the doctor can be a great doctor, but if your front office doesn’t have their stuff together and are rude to customers, you’re going to lose my business. I hope others have better luck than I did.

Dr Poopat is probably one of the most caring doctors I’ve been to. He takes his time in explaining everything in terms that you can understand. He truly cares for every one of his patients. Thank you Dr. Poopat!!!

I had neck surgery two weeks ago and Dr. Poopat did a great job. My scar is healing well and when I was recovering he left me his cell # just in case I had any issues. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the long office wait. However, that is probably due to the fact that he is thorough in his analysis and gives his patients his full attention instead of rushing through the visit. Overall, I would recommend his services.

Good doctor… With the worst name.

The office has a big communication problem. When the doctor orders additional testings somewhere else, they never call you to let you know that the results are available. They will also never call you to inform you that they have obtained the authorization they requested for you. Staff is rude and don’t care about the well being of their patients.

Just called his office after reading his reviews and Office manager was extremely rude and egocentric
Refused to book appointment unless I had insurance information at hand so I told her just book it without insurance and she refused.
As I called again to figure it out if I could talk to office manager I find out (what a shocker) that this individual WAS the office manager
My husband has a broken nose and probably will need reconstructive surgery and I was glad that I got to have a heads up what the office manager could have become in the future.
BTW insurance information usually comes in less then 5 minutes after my call and had her been courteous and understanding this could all have been avoided !

So my dads got it down when it comes to surgeries. I call him bionic man as most of his major body parts are made of steal. So when he needed surgery in his ear to remove a cancerous lump it was nothing new to him but freaked me out.
Dad recently moved from the south bay to the Ontario area so he needed to get new doctors for this surgery. He was lead to Natee Poopat. Dr. Poopat is a surgeon that specializes in ear, nose, throat, head and neck surgeries. He has his own practice that he shares with a plastic surgeon. Their office is located off of Foothill Blvd in Upland and is conveniently located 1 block in front of San Antonio Memorial Hospital.
So dad had his surgery today and everything went smooth. About a few hours after he got home this evening his ear started bleeding really bad. So he paged and Dr. Poopat offered to come to my dads house to check him out. Dad felt bad about that so they meet in the middle at his office. This was all at 7:30pm this evening. After he cleaned and bandaged him up he also took time to explain to my dad about the procedure and how he finally decided was the best way to perform the surgery. He gave him some meds and ear drops and explained to him the deal to tide him over for the night.
I know it’s his job as a doctor to be there for his patients but he went above and beyond for my dad tonight. Out of all the doctors my dad has had operate on him he said that Dr Natee Poopat was only the second doctor that went out of his way to provide such personal service.
Thank you Dr Poppat for taking care of my dad. I hope it doesn’t, but if something ever goes wrong with your ears, nose, throat, head or neck check to see if Dr Natee Poopat is covered by your insurance and no matter where you live make the trek out to Upland. You’ll be in good hands.

Dr. Poopat is flat-​out just a great doctor. He takes the time to answer any and all questions that you may have, which is fantastic. He did great work on my sinus surgery last year, which has really reduced the frequency of my sinus infections. Also, he’s great about follow up.
Sometimes, his appointments run late, but that’s because he takes the time go over stuff with ALL of his patients, explaining everything. I’ve never felt rushed to make room for his next patient, which is extremely important to me.
