If I had seen how messy this place was prior to paying I would have left. Starting with the cashier she wasn’t pleasant at all. I always expect to have a friendly customer service representative. The plates and cups we had were still wet. When handed the plates and our food it was rudely handed to us at the table by the same cashier (she had snake bites). The floor had trash everywhere and there were several employees who passed by until someone finally swept it up. The counters were disgusting! There was trash and soda around the fountain machine. The salad had a small variety of items but also was messy. The pizza was good but I’m afraid how sanitary the kitchen is. A horrible eating environment for a restaurant. I will not be coming back to this Shakey’s.

Okay now here we go again. 1 star sorry. Service at the register was unhelpful at best. The menus are placed behind you as you talk to the cashier. Not intuitive. Not good. After we placed our order we sat down and proceeded to wait for approximately 20 minutes the food arrived. Fair. Ordered pizza mojo and chicken. Food was good because you receive the food fresh from the oven. Outstanding. Here’s the unfortunate part. 24 hrs later I’ve had the bubble guts all day accompanied with you know. The wife is sick maybe the toddler too. 1 star. Food tasted good but I’m certain it’s the food that made us sick. Proceed with caution.
48 hrs later still sick.

So far we have been waiting for 40 minutes for our food… Not sure what the deal is here, its not even busy right now and we’re still waiting. Very upset but were waiting it out. Don’t come here unless you want a bunch of employees not doing anything or eating soon.

Wow I came to get some food and while I’m waiting I am watching them make these pizza’s and I just can’t believe what I’m seeing! The manager is is touching everything with the same gloves she’s making the pizza! Then the order receipt where she is seeing what goes on that pizza on top of the made pizzas that’s just disgusting does she not know how many hands have touched that! And the station where they make the pizza it looks dirty looking. Ummm I’m not coming back. Two stars because the girl that took my order was nice Emily P.

Visited with my family & friends for my son’s graduation. Hey had our tables ready & reserved a quiet area for my son who is special needs. Food was ready quick & they gave me a great deal when we needed to order additional food. Very accommodating & friendly. Definitely will come bk again, clean & great service.

Lost my phone there and called 15 minutes later only for the girl on the phone to tell me «Oh, we found it but gave it to some man in shorts when he said it was his, we didn’t question it.» Went back to look around, the man that they gave it to was still there and had my phone. The workers never said anything to help. The people that work here just gave my phone to someone else without verifying any information. Management needs to train their employees on how to handle these situations better I can’t believe how careless these people are.

This place Suck they have that they open till 10 during week day I came in at 8:53 and they told me they where closed bad customer service and lazy as workers don’t want to work.

Had a good experience here. Service was good. The waitress had such a sweet personality. She was very nice.
The arcade had minimal games so don’t expect too much. Didn’t try the salad bar. It was small.
The pizza was pretty good. Not the best but it was good enough.
The potatoes were highlight. I didn’t expect it to be so good. Seasoned perfectly and fried to perfection. I couldn’t stop eating them. I dipped them in ranch and ketchup. I would definitely go get more potatoes.
I thought the price was a little too high for the quality of pizza.

My young daughter received a certificate for a personal pizza, so we came in for lunch. Although it seems the building has been here for many years, it was clean and well maintained. The lunch buffet was pretty well stocked even though it was almost 2pm when we arrived. It included more than 6 different pizza choices, spaghetti, meat sauce, mashed potatoes with gravy, greens, corn, mojo potatoes, fried chicken and salad station. The staff was nice enough to alert me before they closed the lunch station and cleaned while they were not helping guests. The bathrooms seemed cleaned however my daughter noticed the sewer smell as soon as we walked in. Being such an old building I guess you can expect that however during lunch I smelled it all the way into the dining room. Overall we will return but I can see why others won’t die to the smell :/

This is our favorite Shakey’s. My husband is a bit of an addict when it comes to the Bunch o Lunch Buffet, especially the mojo potatoes. We live in La Verne but he will make the drive at least once a week. They are warm and welcoming when we arrive. The buffet always looks nice and they are glad to make a personalized pizza if you’d like something other than what is out. I am a fan of the chicken, always crispy and moist meat. Even if you arrive close to 2:00 the buffet is still stocked and they are glad to make more. In fact, they have often come around to see if more is needed before closing down, even if it’s 15 minutes or more after 2:00. We definitely feel valued here!

Understaffed, dirty tables all over, messy buffet, dirty cups. It’s football Sunday shakeys! Prepare for such days when crowds leave, it’s not fair that customers coming in get the dirty version. At the time of this post we’ve been waiting longer than usual (30 min) for a meal at similar establishments. It reminded me why I don’t go to If my wife wasn’t craving mojos I would have taken her out to a restaurant. Ohh an soda is terribly mixed with the carbonation.

Pizza is great. Mojo potatoes are really what gets us to come in for the food. They are faves. Fried chicken yummie. The girls working the front tonight are really sweet & have great customer service skills. They went above and beyond when our phone order wasn’t ready when we came in to pick it up. I stopped in today and was really surprised at the quality of the food! The pizza, chicken, and mojos were actually pretty decent. I mean for an $ 8 buffet, the quality was better than expected.
As for the ambiance and arcade, I’ve been to better. The arcade had something like 6 machines that spit out tickets for cheap toys you can get at a Dollar Tree or 99 cents store.
Other than all that, I’ll definitely have to come to this Shakeys again.
