McCall Golf & Country Club

Really a great test of golf here at McCall. Web you look at the card it’s not that imposing but actually walking around and playing this track you will be tested!
The conditions out here are superb. You can certainly tell the staff cares about this place and so does the membership. The tees, fairways and greens are immaculate. Everyone replaces divots and tops off with the supplied sand/​dirt mix. Bunkers were the best maintained of any club I’ve seen since I moved here. These greens are undulating so be prepared for some fast and slippery putts. If you’re a big hitter it’s tempting to go for the gusto everywhere out here but the landing areas are tight and trouble is easily reached.
Practice range isn’t massive but it is more than adequate for warming up and practice sessions. Two putting greens for short game practice and a seperate chipping area as well. No bunker to practice from which is a shame but could easily be installed I think. A great treat and I didn’t even have a chance to grab a beer or food! Next time for sure!

McCall is a smaller, private golf club — primarily used by PECO employees and clients. they have a large «ball room» that can accomodate over 100 (maybe over 150??) for a seated affair.
We had a huge business meeting here that included a catered breakfast and lunch — both were very good. Service is friendly.
Locker rooms are «old school» in feel and the look is a bit dated.
It’s an old-​school country club feel that is not too snooty.
The small café/​grill is nice for breakfast or lunch as well.
