The sandwiches are great and the pastries are also pretty good but the coffee is cold and the specialty coffee are way too sweet… and almost always out of half and half…

I love this BAKERY!!! The cinnamon rolls are to die for. So much icing and it’s awesome when you microwave it for a few seconds. They started a CARS&COFFEE on the 3rd Sunday of every month and it’s a real treat to see fancy/old/new cars of all makes and models come out. Heck, a few Lamborghinis and High End Porsches come out once in a while. The owners pass out a coupon to show their appreciation for supporting C&C.

Worst white mocha I have ever had!!! I have been here many times before. A gentleman I didn’t recognize made my coffee this morning. It was about ¾ full after I stirred the foam down and it was barely Luke warm when I ordered extra hot. I’m so disappointed.

First time here and it was great! Their Coffee tastes great(much better than ”starbutts”) and my Ham, egg, cheese Croissant Breakfast sandwich was perfect. Great atmosphere, the people running the place are nice, and I find it to be a good sign when there are a bunch of «regulars» who come here. I’ll be back for sure! Oh, and the prices are very reasonable-$ 7 bucks for my small coffee and breakfast sandwich.

The food and coffee here is decent but every time I attempt to try this place again the service is awful. Every person who has ever helped me here has either been highly passive aggressive or just plain acted like they were irritated they had to help me. Apparently, if they don’t see your face daily, you aren’t considered worth their time & business.

We ordered our wedding cake through Pure Grain. Mike was phenomenal with coming up with ideas and taking our ideas and bringing them to fruition. The cake was decorated fantastically. All our guest also commented that they had never had wedding cake that tastes so good! The service was amazing, the price was very reasonable, and in this economy you really can’t go wrong with a business that has been around for a while.

Stopped in here to grab a coffee and read before going to the farmers market just down the street. It was bright and clean inside, with nice little 2 and 4 top tables; the front had a nice sunny view of the street. The people were friendly, my coffee(latte) was good, hot and ready fast. My rhubarb Danish was good; a tad dry on the outside and a tad underdone, but pretty and tasty without being too sweet(very German in that aspect). I was tempted by their selection of baked goods – I haven’t seen a hazelnut pastry since moving away from Germany – and will be back to try more. Editing to say – this has become my favorite coffee shop. I’m here most Saturday mornings, and some Sunday afternoons. It is peaceful and calm very early, and then gets bustling and busy as the morning progresses; I love to come, ready a book or work on my computer, and people watch. Every baked item I’ve tried has been very good; and, true to their stated style, with an understated sweetness that is very German. I love that if I get a house coffee(plain, not a specialty drink), it comes in a real ceramic mug and I get a refill. There’s something so perfect about coffee out of a real mug. I’m updating my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars, if for no other reason than that I’ve found this to be a consistently enjoyable place that I look forward to every weekend.

I usually go to their second location near Browns Valley since it’s so close to my work, but when I have extra time to relax and sit down for coffee/food I love coming to this location in downtown Vacaville. Though parking might be a pain if there’s an event going on in Andrews Park or on Saturday mornings during the farmers market, you can always park behind the café in the large library parking lot. For food, you definitely have to try their sandwiches. They have small sides, salads, soup, and pizza, but the sandwiches are my favorite because of their bread! They bake their own bread, and they’re the one place in Vacaville(that I’ve found) that makes Dutch Crunch bread! I usually make my own sandwich sandwich. most often its pastrami and swiss on dutch crunch with all veggies, but sometimes I go for a veggie sandwich that includes your choice of cheese and avocado. You won’t even miss the meat! The summer caprese is also good, though I wish they had used fresh mozzarella instead of sliced. As for the drinks, I love anything and everything caramel, so my go-to drink is the Vanilla Caramel Latte which I’ve gotten both hot and cold. Keep in mind, the Eubanks location only makes hot drinks. And don’t forget to try pastries! They have giant pretzels, pastries, cakes, etc. on the other half of the store. Great for a small snack or breakfast on the go!

We bought a chocolate cream cheese muffin which is rich, tender and tasty. That is worth going back for if in the neighborhood. We also bought a «bear claw» which had no detectable(by flavor) almond paste. It is large with some chocolate, which is the dominant flavor. The bear claw was tough in texture. We would not buy that again, as our bear claw quality test. We usually LOVE bear claws, but not this one. Service was friendly, but not stellar.

I love this place. The staff is super friendly and the food is great. The baked goods are fresh and the soups are homemade like your Grandma used to make. Sit on the patio in the shade and enjoy!

Meh. An assortment of bland looking pasties(Didn’t try any. None looked appealing). Coffee however and the outdoor seating is nice.

We come here almost every weekend(sometimes I come here during the week by myself shhh…). We enjoy sitting outside drinking our coffee and sampling multiple sweets! Patrons and staff are very friendly. This place adds to our great«old» downtown. They offer pastries, salads, soup, sandwiches, gelato(my fav), pies, loaves of homemade bread, and yes… cookies. They also serve beer and wine. The owners are friendly and you can often see them out mingling with the patrons.

I stopped in here after taking my son to the library just to get him a snack and it was $ 4 for a tiny little cup of fruit. The fruit was ok, but that seemed a little over priced to me.

First off, the homemade Chai is amazing hot or cold! Great desserts, nice atmosphere and very friendly service. This is a good plane to come downtown and just chill. I’ve also been here for breakfast, and the food is delicious. A must go!

If I lived near by this would definitely be my go to coffee shop/bakery/sandwich stop! Fresh yummy ingredients = delicious sandwich omg I wanted to eat the whole giant thing — forget my diet! Haha. And the coffee is fresh and strong! Love it! Sitting outside on the patio under the shade of the trees was so relaxing. I can’t say enough good things.

Love this place! For some reason not a lot of folks in Vacaville know about this place and that is unfortunate. It’s always a great place. Service is spot on and the baked goods. … Holy crap!

Our office decided to have sandwiches from Pure Grain one day, so we gave them a call so that we could pre-order. Here is what happened: Someone picked up the phone and sat it down on the counter. They did not give a greeting or a «I’ll be right with you»…they just sat the phone down while I sat there waiting for 20 minutes(until I finally hung up) hoping it was just temporary. I find this to be SORUDE. There are way too many sandwich shops in this town to every go back here. Their customer service lacks, and that usually starts with the owners. Hopefully they will nip this in the bud for their future customers.

I love this place. The outside of it is gorgeous, and blends in well with its surroundings. It’s the perfect place to grab a bite to eat or something to drink after visiting the local park or library or after walking around for the hell of it. (Food) They always have delicious bakery items, my personal favorite is their blueberry scones, but they tend to sell out when I have the time to head over there. I also get their sandwiches and potato salads often, everything is pretty fresh and made to order however you’d like(the sandwiches that is, the potato salad is pre-made but still fresh). (Service) The workers are really nice and chill. They’ll give people free water cups and allow non-customers to use their restroom all the time. I’ve never had a bad experience with one of them.

Pure Grain is a great place to eat if you want to grab a sandwich to go or sit inside and eat. They do have outdoor seating as well right on the square and if you time things correctly you have eat during one of the Friday performances. I usually build my own sandwich. The sheet is quick and easy to fill out and usually within five minutes I have my own sandwich, just the way I want it. If you’re looking for dessert, there is a nice bakery with an assortment of goodies that should make anyone happy!
