I ran into Jo’s Creole T-cakes at Laura Plantation, which I understand is just down the road from Jo’s. The ladies at Laura told us that the pralines were fresh and had been delivered that morning. Pralines were my grandmother’s favorite treat. She went to Louisiana once, back in 1956, and got hooked. It was all she could do to find someone who made them in Arizona, and she kept getting them there. So, when my Mom and I were in Louisiana we knew we had to try some of grandma’s favorite treats. Jo’s pralines are delicious, and they made me understand why grandma loved them so much. Creamy, buttery, and made with no preservatives, these are the real deal.
