Loved this doctors office. You can make an appointment or use the walk in clinic if you can’t wait on an appointment. Sometimes the walk in can be busy but that should be expected with any walk in. As far as the doctors go, I was always satisfied with my treatment. I’ve been in for everything from stepping on a nail to having a wart frozen off to back pain and beyond and they have treated it all. Dr. Bishop was my doctor until I moved out of state and he was the best. A really good doctor with a great personality. I would recommend this doctor to anyone as their family physician.

We are new in town & after a very unpleasant visit a few weeks ago with another local clinic, we got good quality & friendly care at Valdosta Family Medicine. The staff was friendly & helpful & the Physician’s assistant we saw, Matt, was professional, introduced his time, took time to listen to myself & my two boys that were both sick, explain their symptoms. He explained everything he was doing during the exams with them & discussed what was wrong & treatment plans. The wait was a bit long in the waiting room, but we were in the walk in treatment room & had both boys that were sick & needed to be seen. I am very pleased with this clinic & plan to use them for our local family clinic for appointments & walk-ins. :)

Vfm is a great place. I always had great service and was treated like family when I was there. Just don’t miss appointments or be late though!

Valdosta Family Medicine has been in the Valdosta community for a long time. I have been a patient of Dr. Leon Smith for about 20 years and he is a wonderful doctor. The wait is much shorter than other doctor’s offices I have been in and Dr. Smith always makes sure to spend plenty of one on one time discussing my problem. He has even gone out of his way in emergency situations outside of business hours to make sure I was seen and got the care I needed. His practice is well-run, competent and compassionate. I would recommend Valdosta Family Medicine for anyone looking for a general practitioner.

I really can’t say enough about the care I’ve received at this practice. My first visit was the day I discovered that Convenient Care had closed, and I had a raging sinus infection. I’d just gotten back to town at 5:30pm on a Friday, and I really had no idea what I was going to do. All I knew was that suffering until Monday was NOT an option. I was relieved to find their listing in the phone book and headed right over. I haven’t been to any other GP office since! The finer points: * The doctors and PAs are attentive and friendly. I’ve never felt like I was being ignored or talked down to, and honestly, I genuinely enjoy all of them on a personal level. I tend to be a bit of a know-it-all, which I’m sure is a real pain for them, but I rarely visit with absolutely no idea why I feel terrible. It’s important to me to understand what’s going on in my body and why I’m receiving particular treatments, and these lovely folks absolutely humor me! * I’m uninsured, and the staff takes my finances into consideration. I’m given the choice about any and all tests that are done, and if sample medications or coupons are available, they make sure I have them. * I’ve had a couple minor momentary health freak-outs, and there’s always a nurse available for a quick chat to determine if what’s going on is something to worry about or not. * There’s an in-house chiropractor. ‘Nuff said. I only have two complaints about this office. About 50% of the time, there’s an hour or more wait to be seen. I can’t mark them down on this in good conscience, though, because when I have a migraine, I’d much rather sit in their waiting room for an hour than have to go to the ER or wait a week or two to be seen like at other offices I’ve been to in the past. Also, it’s hard to get a return call from a doctor or nurse, but I have to chalk that up to exactly how busy this office is. If it’s really that big of a deal, I can just show up and be seen as a walk-in or talk to a nurse in person. Overall, I’m really, really, pleased, and will return as long as the doors are open.
