Seriously if this is what is considered Mexican food we have a problem. This food was the most disgusting and bland food I have ever eaten. The burrito I ordered was not even a real burrito it was a bunch of undercooked chicken put in a tortilla. The most disgusting part is that the burrito seemed to leak throughout my entire meal. It was just a puddle of watery liquid on my plate. The rice and beans were just awful. The rice was cold and a good portion of it was clumped together so I’m sure it was not fresh. Beans were just as cold and as disgusting. I’m only giving it an extra star is because of there drinks. If you want to get plastered on the cheap this is where to go 7 dollars gets you a pretty heavily poured margarita. They are not scared to fill it to the top. Now I am not saying it was a good margarita but it does give you a good buzz. My advice is avoid the Alamo at all costs it is not worth it if you are near by there is so much better Mexican food available.

I should have really listened to the reviewers here in Unilocal. My husband convinced me to try this dingy place for the lack of a better adjective. Anyhow, it started pretty bad when my husband told one of the staff(taller guy) that it is our 1st time there(and will be the last!), he exclaimed that they’ve been there 40 years and we’ve never been there? So I said that we just moved to Valencia(god, I really hoped we didn’t have the 1st time experience there). But overall, that guy has really good customer service. What ticked me off was the guy who rang us up, his attitude stinks more than the restaurant itself! He would just sour any good mood. He was so rude, has a completely blank expression and was just pathetically irritated. It seems like he did not want to be there! Newsflash, mr. server, if you don’t want to be doing this, maybe you should go back to school and get a degree! But the really, really worst part is the food. None of the things we ordered was good — NONE! We ordered chili rellenos, chicken breast rotisserie, salad, side of chicken and side of rice. They charge $ 2.25 for tasteless rice, who does that??? My husband kept apologizing to me when we walked out, he said this was a very bad lesson learned for him. Take your money and appetite somewhere else, you have been warned.

Key words: UNSANITARY, mediocre food, horrible customer service and dirty. Came here during a short lunch break with my parents and it was the worst experience ever. Let me just start off by saying that the customer service was completely non-existent in addition to the health standards and cleanliness of their kitchen. Not to mention their mediocre, cafeteria presentation foods. Yes it’s a hole in the wall type restaurant and what do I expect but no business like this should remain in business, making gains from others for being this disgusting. After only a few bites into our meals my dad found a piece of RUBBERBAND in his carnitas burrito. I immediately brought all 3 of our plates(we lost complete appetite knowing that our food is prepared and cooked in a kitchen that is unsanitary and careless) back to the counter and demanded for our money back. Here comes the worst part: the two workers at the time refunded the burrito with no question, but partially refunded our two remaining plates because we «took a bite» into our meal. They even had the nerve to break it down to the food items we took a bite into: 1) the beans we took a few bites of; 2) half a taquito; and 3) the rice we took a few bites of, therefore, we weren’t refunded the full amount. Now a good business that is worthy of your $ would refund your money back with no questions asked plus compensate for the horrible experience. But not one apology by Alamo; instead they were rude. Unacceptable. Paying for a meal means I’m investing and supporting that business. There is no way in hell that I’ll ever be supporting a business that values chump change more than customer service and whose kitchen is UNSANITARY(what more happens behind the scenes). Save your money, HEALTH, and energy and skip this place. No one should tolerate or support a business like this. Disgusting and shameful on multiple degrees.

Food definitely beats all the Mexican chains out there, pricing is decent. Not a fan of the nachos but the Chile releno is pretty good. Only reason I give 4 stars is because the service is always dull, not really any happy faces in there and never expect any above and beyond.

The food is not bad, the atmosphere is ok just make sure that you like dogs because the there are inconsiderate people that go there that think that everybody should enjoy their dogs as much as they do, we sat next to some people that brought four dogs to dinner with them pretty annoying.

Just went there for lunch, I bought 1 shredded beef taco and 2 grilled chicken tacos. The restaurant was empty but it took a long time to get my food. Once I got my food, I first ate a chicken taco. I then reached for the shredded beef taco, and I see a hair on the taco. Super Gross! I took my plate to the counter and told the employee that my taco had a huge hair on it, he just looked at me and dint say anything. He didn’t even offer me a refund at that point I walked out. I’m sick to my stomach. Needless to say I wouldn’t be a returning customer. By the way this was my first ever visit to the Alamo. In addition, food is overpriced!!! I would give the Alamo zero stars but that is not an option if I want to leave a review!!! Don’t go there! I wish I’d remembered to take a picture.

It hurts my feelings to spend money and then be treated like shit when I find obvious mold in our pitcher of margaritas. We poured one glass, saw something disgusting, brought both the cup and pitcher up front and they claimed it was our fault. He sat there acting like it was our fault and demanded that we take a freaking fork and pick out the mold to show him. I don’t know how you could hire such rude employees. The food is barely ‘alright’, but given the poor service, fuck them. Go to Azul’s. That place is amazing. Hell, go to Taco Bell.

Nasty food, my meat was under cooked and this lady in line before me had to return her nachos because they were undercooked. I am never eating here again and I will let everyone else Know not to ever eat here! The guy at the counter could barely speak English and when he had a customer complaint he was rude and didn’t want to fix the problem!!! Worst place ever! I’d give it a zero if I could. They need the FDA to shut them down ASAP

Prices are good, the food is decent as well(minus a few items), customer service skills are not there though. There’s an older woman who is always really sweet. I usually hope for her every time I go in! I work in the center, so I’m there all the time. It’s definitely a place I recommend to try.

Food is good but turn down the music and get more outdoor seating. Unfortunately the valencia snobs here hog the outside tables like there at Starbucks.

Visiting a friend in Santa Clarita. Stopped by «The Alamo» restaurant. Totally recommend this place. I had the rotisserie chicken, with black beans and corn tortillas. The menu has quite a variety of items, but kept to my healthy choices. So if your ever in Santa Clarita, stop by this place. OH!!! Plus full bar, you can have a margarita with your good food.

One star is for Manager’s customer service. I called in my order including an order of chips & salsa. When I got there to pick up, Manager opened bag to show all items were there, with the chips in a bag on top. I asked about the salsa. He said, «get it from the bar behind you». I asked for a small styro cup for it and he answered«for $ 3.00»! I was just trying to avoid filing up 4 or 5 of the tiny salsa cups provided at the salsa bar. After filling up a few cups with salsa, I asked for a small bag for them. To which his response was, «I can charge you .10 cents for that if I wanted to, nothing is free here»! Needless to say, The Alamo will no longer be an option when I’m craving Mexican food.

Went here and my wife asked for a pitcher of margaritas with Cazadores tequila. They charged her $ 36.00. She told the«manager» that she was charged less before. He snapped stating, «How the hell are we supposed to make a profit?» She pointed out that she wasn’t complaining, but merely pointing out the discrepancy. He responded by stating, «Well they probably just added water!» She asked to speak with the manager and he stated he was the manager. He also said his name was Casey. This is how you treat people??? I will remember The Alamo and never go there again. Zero stars if it were possible. Great start to a friend’s birthday. Thanks.

They will always screw up your order. The employees have very low IQs. The food really isn’t any good unless you’ve had a pitcher or two of Cadillac margaritas. A number of years ago my wife and I BOTH got unreal food poisoning after eating there. Called the health department and they cited them for a number of things. The one thing I remember was their ice machine literally had bacterial sludge in the bottom. Disgusting. Since I stopped drinking a couple years ago I haven’t been back. Anytime we are thinking of a place to eat we always say no way to Alamo cause it’s only good for the booze. The really funny part is my wife WORKED there when she was 16 – 17 years old. lol. She knows first hand how they are filthy. Don’t eat there. Just drink the booze. It’s all for the booze and patio.

I am beyond disappointed! I have been going to the Alamo for 30+ years and always loved the food. Unfortunately the last 3 times my cheese enchiladas have been uncooked. Tonight I ordered them again and asked for all rice. I was given my food on a paper plate. The person preparing it had obviously put beans on my plate and then scraped it off and put rice over it. My cheese inside the enchiladas was raw. I took my plate back up to the counter and pointed out the raw cheese. He took the plate back to the kitchen. I walked around the side so I could see into the kitchen, to my shock it was filthy and the guy with no gloves on stuck my paper plate into the microwave. He then transferred it to the oven? A paper plate in the oven you’ve got to be kidding me??? I immediately went back to the cashier and asked for my money back, out of the $ 12 I paid I was given 8 dollars and $.75 apparently I still had to pay for my overpriced soda. It is clear to me that this place makes their money off selling margaritas to all the people sitting on the patio rather than food. So sad to say I will never return!

Tried them again! Shame on me! They made a myriad of mistakes, not only on my order, but others in line in front of me and behind. The owner kept complaining that it’s too busy; if you can’t handle it then get out of the business and Santa Clarita…

Alamo is a great place to get a quick bite to eat for under $ 10. The burritos are massive, taquitos are soft and unique, the hard shell tacos looked amazing, and the salsa bar is impressive. Tortilla chips are available to purchase for $ 1, which I really think should be free. Seating is plentiful both indoor and outdoors. It’s dog friendly outside and just an overall good atmosphere. It’s a tad bit disorganized inside… there’s no real line, you just kind of have to remember who walked in when… people are generally pretty relaxed and don’t mind if you go in front of them or whatever, but it’s just a little strange that they have no order… it’s a little inconsistent. I saw the people coming around serving food to customers seated outside, but the customers seated inside just had a number called. If you’re coming to the Alamo for a bite you don’t have to get dressed up, it’s super casual. Tips: Make a day out of it. after lunch goto Ralph’s next door for grocery shopping or pick up necessary items at CVS also in the same shopping center. Parking is everywhere, but be cautious because there are lots of pedestrians mostly families with young kids darting around, and kind of awkward that there’s no side walk.
