Julio Juarez Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

This place has a great culture. It’s really good for kids and adults. My son and I go here. I love this place. Julio is an amazing coach. I highly recommend.

After moving to Valencia from North Hollywood, I struggled to find the same type of training and atmosphere I had elsewhere. I went to every place I could find in the Santa Clarita area, hoping to start training at a new gym. I sat in on every class I could in different schools around town, but none of them felt quite feel right.
The moment I walked into JJBJJ I knew I had come to the right place. When I got upstairs, I felt a welcoming energy unmatched in any other gym that I visited. Everyone was training extremely hard, but in addition to that, they were having fun. Theres just a ton of enthusiasm everywhere.
Julio is a great guy and he will go out of his way to help every single person in the gym. Even brand new white belts in sparkling Gi’s get a chance to learn from Julio one on one. Thats not something you get at other schools. His presence really sets the place apart.

I have trained here and now have my 8 year old niece training here. Julio Juarez is completely professional in all aspects of a martial arts instructor. His instruction is excellent! He won’t pass you on to another technique or move unless he feels you know the one under present instruction. The training facilities are clean and purposeful, keeping the proper aura of a martial arts dojo. I highly recommend parents who are interested to enroll your children here. My 8 year old niece trains under master Juarez in the kids class. His instruction and ability to train young kids is excellent. He teaches technique but has the perfect temperment for relating to kids and for them to want to learn and stay interested. I know my niece is in good hands here.

I really enjoy training at this academy for a few reasons.
1) Awesome instructor who is outgoing as opposed to macho: He really understands the learning process and it makes a big difference when trying to learn this complex art.
2) The whole academy is clean: I work in a laboratory so sanitation and cleanliness is always on my mind. This place is cleaned all the time so the mats are always fresh for classes.
3) Great people/​environment to train. A schools vibe and the people in it really make a difference when it come to Jiu Jitsu since everyone is learning from eachother as well. The guys and women that train here are all cool people and they make the effort to help everyone.
