Siu Kathleen A DMD

Both my kids have been going here since they first developed teeth. :-) Love Dr. Siu, Dr. Jason Pair, and Dr. Schweizer. I can’t say enough about their professionalism and the staff has been there forever.

The office is half pediatric dental offices (Siu, Schweitzer, Abboud) and half orthodontic offices (Pair and Pair).
PROS:
1. There is a large, comfortable waiting area with ample magazines, though pretty much everyone is on their iPhone or iPad.
2. There are TWO toy areas (one in the front waiting area and one in the back waiting area) to keep the kids distracted, comfortable, and relaxed. This is a MAJOR plus.
3. The kids always leave with goodies (a toothbrush and floss, a small prize or two, a balloon if they want it and, depending on their brushing score, they may leave with a premium prize like a T-​shirt or a light up toothbrush.)
4. The dentists and staff are awesome and excellent with kids. We are partial to Dr. Siu as she has been our dentist the longest, however, our kids have been to all three and they’ve all been great.
5. Over the years we’ve had a few emergencies, and, though they’re booked solid, they’ve always been able to fit us in somewhere.
CONS:
1. If you go during peak hours (e.g., right when school lets out), it gets a little claustrophobic. But I guess that just means they’re popular.
BOTTOM LINE:
They make taking your kids to the dentist easy.

I just got back from my kids’ first visit in Dr. Siu’s office and am so happy with their experience there.
To give you some background, I had been taking them to a local dentist for the last couple of years, and had never been really happy or satisfied with the level of care they were receiving. We always ended up waiting well over an hour for our appointment to even begin, as well.
Dr. Siu’s office is about a 45-​minute drive from my house, but it is well worth it. Our wait was brief and my kids were treated like the little prince and princess they are. The staff truly made the whole experience as fun and adventuresome as possible. These were kids who used to scream and cry whenever someone even tried to look in their mouths at the old office, but here, they were put at ease and given lots of praise and positive reinforcement. The old office could never get a cleaning done, much less x-​rays, but here they managed to get both done on both kids… without tears!
Dr. Carla Abboud did their exams and sat down with me afterward to talk about their dental care and answer any and all questions. It was the most thorough and kind dental experience we have ever had. I am so relieved to have found this office!

Dr. Kathy is an angel. I highly recommend her to all parents and especially those with special-​needs children.
