Food is good, but they are under staff. Needs a lots of craning. Restroom and sitting area.

I haven’t done a review in a while. So let’s start with this place. I’ve been coming a lot over last few years. It’s kind of comfort food for me. But I have to say they’ve been skimping over the last year. First they got rid of the chopped up eggs that l love on my salad. They say something about an egg shortage. Yet there’s plenty for breakfast. Next they got rid of the blue cheese bits that I also love on my salad. We went Sunday and now there’s no cucumbers. Don’t get me wrong, I hate cucumbers but the wife likes them. They have some lame sign about it not being the ideal season for them. Funny every other place has them. While all this is going on they keep raising their prices. When we first started going there lunch was $ 6.99. Now it’s $ 9.99 with a coupon. I’m not real happy, I’m thinking of finding another soup and salad place.

Gotta say I’m pretty impressed with this place. It’s super clean and the food and prices are very reasonable. They’re also more attentive than your average restaurant in picking up dirty plates, forks, etc.

What happened to this location? I wrote a big email to corporate office. We spend over $ 60 last night and feel guilty we even went there. Everything is so bland. How can soup and pasta be so crappy? There is no salt or more salt in most of the food. Most of the Silverware was half cleaned. They had dirty streaks on them. And why is the plastic tray all wet? Can’t you dry it before handing it over to customers? Sorry this is last time we are going to this Souplantation.

Nothing made at this restaurant tastes good. Everything is bland, tasteless and horrible. Soups have no flavor, and tastes like its from a can. Their prices are high, and have gotten higher recently and without supplying organic produce, all their produce is sprayed. There is nothing about eating healthy with a touch of pesticides. Pastas are horrible, bread tastes old, muffins are hard. Don’t waste your money there.

I came today for my first visit to souplantation. I had breakfast and left within 20 minutes. I didn’t realize it was a buffet, a mistake I will never do again. I had better and more tasteful good on a cruise ship. There was no variety and everything tastes horrible. This is my first and last visit.

lots of healthy raw veggies here at a pretty reasonable price. Bonus — eat as much or little as you like…

Grew up with Souplantation. From short day releases to weekend lunches, Souplantation was always THE place to meet. And I’m happy to say that after 10 years of coming here, I have never left disappointed. The salad is always delicious and personally, I always get the potato salad because it is AMAZING! The pasta is always warm and delicious and the bread is cooked to perfection. And the soups… are divine! They are particularly good on colder days. Will continue to be a regular at this awesome place!

I remember this place being better than it is, though i don’t know why… It is so expensive($ 80 for 4 people) that I’d expect it to be of much higher quality. The salad ‘toppings’ lack depth, and the overall atmosphere is similar to a cheap Vegas buffet — right down to the unsupervised kids standing in the booths looking at you while you eat. The non-salad items are really plain. The iced tea was so cloudy it was hard to even get it down. If what you are looking for is the unlimited aspect of a buffet, i suppose it’s ok, but if you are looking for a good salad — go to the grocery store.

I’m normally a Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes fan, but this location is pretty subpar. That’s quite unfortunate since it is the closest location to my home. Souplantation is a deceivingly healthy place to go. AYCE soup and salad bar. On the front end is where healthy takes place. Salad greens and all the appropriate toppings as well as a few pre-tossed salads. I usually get to the register with a mountain of salad. Some of their soups rotate but there are a few regulars like clam chowder, chili, chicken noodle, etc. The bakery and pastas are where you can carb-load(and where healthy goes out the window). The blueberry muffins, cornbread, and focaccia are all my weaknesses here. Don’t judge me for going back for seconds or thirds. Don’t forget the honey whipped butter. I’ve learned to stay away from all the pastas. They always taste like reheated TV dinner stuff. Love meat? This is not the place for you. There are little to no options for meat dishes. Dessert can be the best part of the meal here if you do it right. Vanilla soft serve + root beer = root beer float. Chocolate brownie bite + soft serve + choice of topping(caramel, chocolate, sprinkles, etc) = brownie sundae. Always leave room for dessert! The staff is one of the downfalls here. Looking around there are too many un-bussed tables. I usually catch the staff chatting or eating rather than working. The manager should really tighten the reigns. Sign up for their emails to get discounts. I don’t think I’ve paid full price in years. I’ll continue to come here because of the convenient location, but I’d prefer a different location.

I like Souplantation, they are always trying to come up with new types of salads and soups instead of just leaving it alone. Went there on Saturday and had a Sriracha slaw… that was spicy. They have coupons that come out and you can probably find online to help you with the costs. I would recommend going here every once in a while instead of one of the other places around. It is kind of a strange location, but there is a parking garage and lot parking very close.

On date night, I felt like I needed something healthy. After looking through the remainder of my birthday coupons, Schoolteacher chose this one out of the lot. I was surprised I’d never been here before. I generally like Souplantation, and it’s fairly close to my home. It’s right next to the(former) Tilted Kilt. Oh ya… That’d do it. We walked in, and were immediately hit with the front end of a salad bar. BAM! Let the grazing begin! Schoolteacher and I traversed a good thirty(ish) feet of salad bar, piling up the dinner plates as best we could. They had pre-made salads for every palate, cold vegetables, salad fixin’s, salad dressings… lots of salad-y kinda stuff on this salad bar. Even the macaroni & potato salad kinda stuff. Eventually our travels down the salad bar came to a halt at a register. A young kid worked diligently ringing up the small Asian lady in front of us. After he finished with her transaction, I slid my tray up to him, and handed him my printed birthday sheet. He smiled, wished me a happy birthday, and began processing it. Two Meals, with a twenty percent off birthday coupon, about twenty five dollars. That’s about right for buffet style I suppose. I usually pay about thirty at Ocean Seafood down the street. Once we had paid, we carried our trays into the dining area to find a suitable place to sit. The place was fairly empty on a Monday around four in the afternoon, so we found a secluded corner of the place to catch up on our days apart and stare longingly into each other’s eyes while we ate our greens. I got our drinks, and we dined. After the salad we were both pretty full, but I made one more sortie up for some clam chowdah. They also had cornbread. After eating that I was stuffed. I made a cursory pass by the deserts and pastas and other things that looked really pretty decently okay before finally making out way out of the place. Much like other all you can eat buffet style places, there’s a whole lot of stuff that’s okay. I’ve yet to find a buffet style place with absolutely dynamite food.
Thanks Souplantation, it was definately okay. I’ll probably be back.

Every time I go here the price goes up a little more. Dinner price is $ 11.39 plus a beverage. For 2 adults with 2 sodas, the total came out to about $ 30. Food was good. I have noticed if you go close to closing time the food is pretty old and stale by then, but if you go around dinner time, you should be golden. We stopped by on our way from LA to Sacramento around 7. All the food was fresh and more was still coming as we were there. We both really enjoyed the snickerdoodles too. They were soft and delicious, plus I have never seen them there before. I was a little disappointed with the pizza. It isn’t really pizza anymore but rather a cheesy bread. I mean I still ate it, but I miss the real pizza they used to have.

We ate here for a second time in ten years. Me, afterwards, «Let’s not do that again.» My wife, «You said that last time.» Damn you long term memory! THEFOOD Salad — mediocre at best, includes probably the worst Caesar dressing ever, and why don’t they offer grilled chicken for the salads? Prepared salads — the potato salad was horrible Hot pasta — the assorted pastas were bland and tasteless Soups — my wife likes their soup Baked stuffs — the focaccia is good Desserts — the self serve miniature ice cream cones seem to be a hit with kids BOTTOMLINE At $ 54 for a family of four($ 11.50 dinner, $ 2.50 drink/each), you can’t help but think: A. Of all the places you could’ve gone B. $ 14/person for basically soup & salad? C. Are we supposed to tip? D. All of the above Correct answer: D, All of the above

I can’t wait to leave this place to write this review. Everything here is horrible! They have salads labeled things that are not labeled correctly the label says quinoa chipotle lime uderneath is some german potato salad. Its 7:00p m. It looks like closing time cause they only have about 8 oz. Out of everything. The prepared salads are way overdressed. The soup is the last thing on the buffet not the first after the salad. The pasta is all wrong. The marcaroni and cheese is penne pasta instead of macaroni. The fettuccine is bland and the other pasta is white with no sauce on it. The muffins oh god the muffins. They have clumps of flour inside them, the batter was not mixed well. And the lava cake taste gummy! YESGUMMY! The spoons are dirty. WTH! This is just not right. Is this a privately owned souplantation? Never again! Oh and the chicken soup had these clumps of fat Swimming in the soup, An odd looking piece of fat that looked liked chicken but definitely was not. this too much!

Simply awful — go to another Souplantation. You immediately notice how dirty this place is — also the restaurant itself has a terrible layout. As you grab your tray/plate and peruse the salad bar, you notice that everything is dirty from the previous customers. There’s corn in the peas and peas in the corn. Ranch dressing in the thousand island and vice-versa. The entire station needed to be wiped down, not only is the bar unkept but everything was half-full and incorrectly labeled — under the Quinoa salad was a «German» potato salad, when we asked the girl behind the counter where the Quinoa salad — she looked as if she had no idea what Quinoa was. We proceeded to the hot food bar where the layout was, again strange. First pasta, then the bakery, finally the soup — isn’t this SOUP-plantation. Well… Again the mislabeling continued macaroni pasta was penne not macaroni. And the flavor?! Full of garlic powder, the«arrabbiata» had no sauce and both the fettuccine and arrabbiata were bland. On to the namesake — the soup — the only soups worth eating were: the chili, and chicken pot pie. I would say to try the clam chowder however it was mostly potato — no clams to be found. Finally the dessert — this took the cake!!! However not literally the lava cake was«gummy» as it had not fi signed baking thoroughly. The ice cream toppings bar was filthy. The muffins from the bakery bar were also not fully baked and when you broke one open you can see how the flour was not fully mixed. Overall — go to another #Souplantation! Do not spend your money here.

Simple, good food. A healthier type buffet restaurant with a big focus on salad. You walk into a salad bar with pre made salads,(or make your own) and lots of toppings and dressings. After you pay and sit there are several juices, lemonades and teas, coffee and sodas to choose from. There is a soup section with baked potatoes and optional topping on the side. There is a breads section and pasta section. And finally and ice cream/desert area. This is very vague because they have seasonal items and also breakfast with different items in these sections. The place was clean and service was good. I brought my younger siblings and they liked everything they got including salad. There were lots of other tables with families and younger children. Good place if you have kids, they can have fun picking their own things.

First time at this location. I was a regular at the Woodland Hills location when I worked out there. The salad bar is as good as it’s gonna get for the price you pay. The soups are a little watered down for my taste but you can bet on me being there gulping them down when it gets cold! The service is amazing and we were catered to from start to finish. There is a limited selection of anything else but that’s okay. We don’t need all those carbs do we?
