Amazing customer service at this location! This’ll be the only location I shop at from now on, they go out of their way to help you out and have a good attitude while doing so. Thanks again guys!

My boyfriend and me went to the Val surf in Valencia to find some shoes for his dad. His dad still wears slip on vans. I know LEGEND. We were in the shoe section for about thirty seconds before someone asked if they could help us. We informed them which shoe and which size. Unfortunately they didn’t have the size. So instead of just giving up on us the employee took the time to call the Thousand Oaks location and find the shoe for us and even placed them on hold for us. This was extremely helpful considering I live in Thousand Oaks and made his dad’s Christmas. Thank you guys I was very impressed

It’s not big. Hardly any women’s clothes and nothing different from what you can buy at Tillys for less. I walked and someone did greet me. That was good. When I was at the counter I was asked if I was looking for something. I said I was looking for a gift and got zero reply and the girl — and she was a girl, not a woman — moved on… Maybe she didn’t know how to help. Anyway if I’d known how small this store was I would not have bothered to drive from northern San Fernando Valley for lame women’s selection, lame jewelry, lame service. The whitsett store is 1000 times better. Live and learn.

Val Surf is my shop! I buy most of my boards from Val Surf. They have the best products in stock and the workers are top notch.

Although I had a bad experience my previous visit, I returned again as Val Surf does have a great selection of skate products and gear. The employees were very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a better second visit.

Great selection of boards, clothes and gear. Hottie ladies working the counter too. It doesn’t get any better than Val surf.

The location in Steenson Ranch closed down and they moved it over to Valencia. It’s the same place in a smaller location right next to Whole Foods. If you’ve been to the old location, you know exactly what you’re in for. Snow, Surf, Skate stuff.

I really like Val Surf, but only really go in when I need sandals or sunglasses. They are a huge location and I really don’t know about the services they offer, but the store is always clean and I am always greeted. I have never left their unsatisfied or angry… but like-wise, I am never wowed.

I dinged my surfboard and needed to get it repaired so I thought maybe I’d take it down here. The guy at the counter told me it would take 2 — 2 ½ weeks for the repair. I thought why not, I needed a break anyways. I called 3 weeks later wondering why they haven’t called me. They said the guy who does the repair was backed up and to try calling the Hollywood store. I called the Hollywood store and they said they never received the surfboard. Apparently the Santa Clarita store forgot to pick my board up and just left it in the back of the store, the guy on the phone totally lied to me and I let the manager know about it. I was compensated but I missed 2 weekends of surf, on top of that the repair was shady as hell!!! I swear some of the repair jobs looked like I did it and that doesn’t say much!!!(;_;)… I’m not coming here for repairs… No more commercial surf shops

I’ve been to this location a few times and they have a nice collection of just about anything snow, surf, skate, shoes, clothes you’d be looking for… except that is for toddlers. I needed a toddler pair of snowboard pants for my son and they only had kids sizes. :-( The service was pretty friendly in that slacker/stoner sorta way. It wasn’t a total bust — I did get him a pair of gloves for a reasonable price.

Recently, I was looking for shoes for my son… he’s got wide feet, so the only thing that fits him well are DC’s. Picture this… I walk into the ValSurf store after doing some much needed toy shopping down the lane and go to the shoe section where there are four guys standing around chatting about their new boards, how hot its been lately and how great the beach would be today. Seeing as it was the middle of the day, in the middle of the week I didn’t think I would have trouble getting service. However, I WASWRONG. The guys chatting didn’t work there and the only person I could find was camped out at the cash wrap talking on the phone for a good ten minutes. When I approached her for help with shoes, she said she’d be a minute… I unfortunately, left without any shoes or any service…

Dude. Gnarly… this ones large with tons of gear. I like coming here and buying board shorts so I can be a SoCal surf poser. They have an insane selection of sandals too… if you can’t find a pair here… the ones you’re looking for don’t exist.
