Omg this place seriously has the best chocolate cake ever! We used to buy tres leches cake here a while back. However being raised in a Mexican family me and my husband got tired of it. But they do have a great one here. Not sure if they still make the champagne cake here but that is definitely a great choice as well. However my mother in law gets cake from here all the time. For my husbands birthday she brought a chocolate cake from here and if was to die for! Seriously threw me off my diet! It’s almost a month later and I’m still craving this cake. Also this is another great place to get pon duele.

I have been purchasing my cakes from Little Maya for the past 7 years. I can say that I have had my ups and downs with them, but overall, I really love the time they put into their cakes. Most of the time, they make my cakes exactly as I want them. I highly recommend them. If for any reason you have a bad experience with them, give them a second chance, they are definitely worth it. The Mexican food and sweet bread(pan dulce) they sell there is also very delicious.

I tried to inquire about making a cake for my 4 year old son’s birthday. He wanted a cake with the planets on it. The lady was half listening. She seemed too busy to help me. I became frustrated and just hung up the phone.

Little Maya Bakery is in the middle of what looked to be 3 businesses(different labels on different parts of building, i.e. sandwiches, cakes, …) upon closer inspection, only one door was open: Little Maya offerings: cakes, breads, sammies, desserts, coffee etc. buys: panaderia, 3 pieces $ 2.30 –various filled pastries and a solid one –fillings simple, sparse –texture ok, price very reasonable, pastries unpriced –point to item, cashier gets and rings u the total. 3.5 stars

Nice looking treats, minus the flies that were enjoying themselves inside of the bakery case. Don’t buy anything that isn’t pre packaged

I was so happy with the Skylander tres leches cake they made for my son’s birthday. The Skylander graphics were gorgeous, a great kid-pleaser, and the tres leches cake was delicious.

I hate to do this because I am all for the local independent market– I was in the mood for some good Mexican bread but as I walked up a smell emanating from inside warned me to go away. My spouse said it smelled like a Hamster cage, I thought it smelled more like the smell you get when you just ran out of spray paint. It was a chemical smell. I went in anyway. Its a very tiny place with bread cases on two walls and two free standing shelves in the middle of the store. There are two cases near the register that look like they are for cold items perhaps but it was empty . There was a round table squeezed into the middle of it all with a guy eating in there. There was one man at the register being helped and two men blocking one of the bread walls. The other wall had its glass case doors open. The shelves were stocked with a variety of mexican food items and there seemed to be a lot of sweet breads but I left without purchasing anything because: 1– The smell. What the heck was that smell? What ever it was it should not be associated with food. Especially food I am about to eat. 2.The glass case doors were left open and so was the front door. Flies travel people. And no those men were no stocking the bread at the time they were standing in front of the other case. Either way they should have closed the door. 3– This is a minor one but we were not acknowledge when we came in. 4-Nothing in the cases really looked yummy.

The World According to Noelle Allergic Girl’s Guide to Life Little Maya Bakery has an excellent selection of pan dulce. The pan dulce is delicious and so are their cookies. They have a small grocery area stocked with Mexican canned goods. If you’re in the mood for tortas– they sell those as well. Customer service is friendly. If you’re in the area this is a great place to stop for your pan dulce.

I was looking for a very special Cake for a very special little girl in life. My Grand Daughter, Natalie, loves«Tangled». A cartoon movie about Rapunzel. I found«Little Maya’s» on an internet search. No one had the cake decorations for the Tangled Theme, so I went out and bought items from a party store & a toy department, and brought everything to Little Maya Bakery, and told them I wanted a Red Velvet Cake with«My Angel’s» favorite cartoon character. They turned her dream into the BESTCAKE ever. Thank you, for making her special cake and her special day a dream come true!!! xoxoxox.

I wanted to get my husband a birthday cake so I decided to check up on Unilocal for high reviews and suggestions for the best cakes. I know I didn’t want a safeway, raley or walmart cake or any cake from Red Ribbon(i love the choco moco cake but we have it all the time and wanted to try something different). As a vallejo native, I was shocked to find out that I never knew about Little Maya’s off of Broadway. I read about the tres leche cake and decided that would be one I get for him. I went there and saw all of the wonderful pastries and breads on the walls so on my way to the cakes, I bought a couple of sweet breads too. The lady at the counter was very nice too! My family tried the cake and all agreed that it wasn’t too sweet(the frosting tasted lighter than whip cream) and it was very moist. I also enjoyed the fruit between the layers. I would definitely add Little Maya’s Tres Leche cake to my favorites list.

FRESHBAKEDBREADSANDDESSERTS!!! Located in the heart of Broadway St. this place the best breads and mexican desserts in Vallejo. Open entering the parking lot you can already smell the bread being baked fresh everyday. Everything is so cheap! I dont think you can find anything over a dollar. What I like about this place is their desserts and breads are not to sweet and the breads are not dry! There french and torta rolls basically melt in your mouth. Im not to sure what all their donuts are called and anything else, they are just GOOD. If you have a chance get the Tres Leches cake. The cake is not to sweet, its moist and they add fresh fruit in between their layers. A little pricey but worth every bite.

Growing up, I spent many summers visiting my paternal Grandmother in Los Angeles. Since she speaks very little English, it was sometimes difficult for my brother and I to communicate with her. To solve for this gap, she often spoke to us through homemade flour and corn tortillas, rice & beans, chicaronnes, tamales, and a spread of fresh sweet breads from one of the many local Panaderias. While all of these delights were common ways to welcome us, I believe my abuelita knew the best way to my heart were the visits to the Panaderia where I could personally pick out my favorites. Since I don’t often get back to that lovely corner of 3rd& Normandie, my heart skipped a beat when I opened my car door in the lot of «Little Maya» today. Probably 15 years ago I went to a kid’s birthday party where the delicious cake was from Little Maya. While I’ve been meaning to stop in and order a cake over the years, I never have – and shame on me! Thankfully, I came across Nick’s review a few weeks back where I learned that the bakery not only specialized in cakes but was a fully functioning panaderia too. So as I opened my car door, the memorable scents of hot, sweet, fresh and tasty breads took me back to the days when life was easy, breezy. It didn’t cost a cent and you were simply along for the ride. Once inside, I was surprised to see two full walls of rows and rows and rows of all the pan you could ever imagine. No prices were listed and quite frankly I didn’t give a care. I grabbed a tray, some tongs and went to town. Once my tray nearly runneth over, I joined the growing line to pay for my order. My intent was to also order some tres leches cake as Nick suggested, but I totally forgot after having some great conversations with others while we patiently waited in line. Huge birthday cakes, wedding cakes and bags and bags of fresh french bread walked out the doors while I was there. Mentally, I made a note to come back soon… Finally it was my turn and I was greeted by a very sweet girl. She carefully placed all of my breads in a huge big brown paper bag and charged me a mere $ 5.50. Yes, just $ 5.50…that is it, that is all. A small price to pay for a few of my «favorite things» as shown in my uploaded pic. Now, bring us home Julie… ps-I’d be remiss if I didn’t inform you that they taste as good as they smell and my son is now a fan as well!

My My My. Little Maya… When you walk through the door, angels actually sing. Yes, this is in a strip mall with a laundry mat next door and maybe not in the best part of Vallejo. But don’t you skip it. Every single baked thing here is phenomenal. I have been eating Little Maya’s for 15+ years and the quality has never waned. Screw donuts, come here and see what is really up with breakfast sweets. True story– While I was living in Concord, I would leave my house at 5:15 a.m. on Saturday so that I could be the first in line to eat the wonderfulness of Little Maya. This would occur about once a month. I would get what I came for and devour it in my car. And yes, it is that serious. You can’t go wrong with anything that you get here. And all is extremely inexpensive. Make sure you try the ham and cheese croissants and anything that is custard filled. Their cookies are awesome and the orejas are perfect. Don’t forget the pan dulce, moist, fluffy and the perfect amount of topping. I typically leave with a paper garbage bag full of sweets and it is rarely over $ 15 dollars. They also do cakes through special order. Try their Tres Leches– the best in the world.
