It was Monday June 20th we drove a hour to get their waited about another 30 mins to get their due to a fire up the road fire department wasn’t letting us pass. Heads up call b4 u come…

I stayed at the hotel for a night and was superbly surprised by the customer service I received. When I went to check in, the lady was so pleasant and quick to assist me in check in. Next thing I know, I’m in the room and it’s huge! There is a full bath and shower and not only is there a King sized bed, there’s also a sitting area with a comfy couch. They left four water bottles in the room for me and all the toiletries you need to take a relaxing bath or shower. I got up the next day and called in early to check out late, smooth and easy process. Went down to the pool, where I was the only one there to enjoy it at the time. Looking out at the mountains made the experience so relaxing and rejuvenating. After taking a shower and checking out of my room, they sent me for my complimentary breakfast at their sit-down restaurant, BLD’s. The waiter was amazing and brought my food quickly. He even made suggestions on what to order based on my mood for the morning! All in all, one of the best experiences I have had staying at a hotel. Extremely pleased with the amenities, the look and feel of the hotel, the complimentary breakfast, and the outstanding customer service. Thank you to the team at Valley View Casino and Hotel! My experience was AMAZING!!!

Good morning I’m usually a great reviewer and I’m a huge fan of lobster. So when I went here last night I was really disappointed. The food coordination wasn’t to organized. What really made me put 1 star was that they only give you 2 small lobster tails at a time. The lobster butter sauce is given by the host and only 1 at a time even when you ask for 2. So the going back and forth to get lobster was a hassle.

Tried calling the hotel’s number 3 times and was put on hold 10 plus minutes each time. I finally gave up the third time because I wasn’t able to talk to anybody. Terrible customer service! It’s funny how they say customer service is their number 1 priority. This casino is a joke and should be closed down. Atmosphere isn’t nice compared to Harrah’s and Pala! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.

I feel so strongly about this that yes, I am giving Valley View one star for it. I just saw their commercial on TV touting their«Non-Smoking Room». Yes, indeed this is a non-smoking room and delightfully so. What absolutely RUINS this room? Forget that they rarely use the A/C in this room and you are trying to breathe in stale, hot air, but the overwhelming toxic stench of the Air Freshener they PUMP into the casino, and possibly even more into this Non-Smoking room, gets into my hair, my clothing, my skin, my lungs! It has even permeated MYATHLETICSHOES! I would honestly almost rather smell smoke than this toxic mix of chemicals. This is the blatant truth: room fresheners such as these are nothing but chemicals, and we are breathing them in. Not only does everything stink like perfume after I get out of there, but I can smell the underlying chemicals in my clothing days after as they lay in the laundry room(!) I read online that this is some sort of formaldehyde, and I wouldn’t doubt that’s true. Whatever it is, they are making sure to pump you full of it. In fact, you can smell it already pumping hard in the Valley View PARKINGGARAGE. Yeah, THAT is what you are smelling. Sniff it in deeply, kids. Nobody cares that it’s toxic chemicals… because nobody is smart enough to do 5 minutes of research, nor cares enough about themselves to speak up. Sad. I care about myself, and you should feel the same for yourselves. EDITEDTOADD: I didn’t say that you were pumping it through the AC system. I can even point out the units high up on the walls where they spray out the room freshener. Don’t be insulting. My clothing smells exactly the same every single time I leave your casino, the exact same strong perfumey smell with the underlying strong chemical smell, EVENMYSHOES.

How can I complain when you walk out the door with a full belly and a full wallet? There is short walk from the parking structure to the entrance, but it can get super chilly and windy in the hills. If you want more special treatment, there is free valet parking. If you sign up for the player’s club card, they give you an offer you can’t refuse. You are eligible for cash back depending on the points you accrue on your first visit: $ 25 for up to 50 points, $ 50 for 100 points, $ 100 for 200 points. If you do even better than that, they throw in 2 lobster buffets. If you manage to move up the VIP level with points, you can have one free lobster buffet every month in addition to other freebies and promotions. Fun stuff. If you play the table games, they give you instant comps(just like Vegas) like free food and other rewards. This is not the largest casino in the area, but it does have a nice size floor and a nice variety of table games and slots. Even when it got crowded, you could walk around and still find machines to play or a table to sit at. It was pretty obvious that most of the people here were locals, and the staff seemed to know people by name. I’m thinking that most people get sidetracked by Pachenga, Pala or Harrah’s and don’t make it down the road this far to get to Valley View. For me, that’s a good thing. I like the space and the personalized care and attention given here. People are nice. Staff smile and look you in the eye when you speak to them. I like that. Will I be back? Probably. I need to cash in on the two free lobster buffets we earned. Maybe this is a racket to get us to come back. It’s okay. I don’t mind that at all.

This casino is nice and close so we like to come here. One complaint we have is that they don’t have enough Quarter machines. Come on some of like to play more than Pennie slots! They have a nice non-smoking casino but it’s small compared to the smoking one. Buffet is a good one and I will review that separately. All in all we had a great time!

Seafood n Steak Buffet for lunch only cost $ 10 n $ 20 for Lobster Buffet in the evenings. Such«Super Deals», even Las Vegas couldn’t compete with! The only downside about Valley View Casino is its location. It is an hr drive from San Diego, CA. If u r ever in the area, VV Casino will be a great addition to your itinerary of places to visit n see. The buffets here will make your trip worthwhile! And a little luck at the slots n gambling tables won’t hurt either.

Today we had a much better experience… Samuel at the players club counter was very helpful. I received 2 free buffets and got the new military appreciation card they now offer which gives 10% off the buffet. The free buffets doesn’t make up for the way I was treated the first time but I did receive them on my word that I was told to ask for them by the PR person 5 months ago. Again Samuel was very pleasant and he even asked if we had a better time as we were leaving. Thanks Samuel!

Here’s an updated review of our most recent visit last night/this morning. They are still in the process of renovating. I was informed by one of the staff members that everything should be done by mid-May. The nonsmoking room is very stifling. There didn’t seem to be any air conditioning or it wasn’t working. You walk into the now much smaller room and the stench of body odor hits you and stays with you the whole time it’s crowded. I jokingly dubbed it the B.O. Room because my friend who played in there the entire 9 hours were there, had to bust out her perfume and room spray to cover the odor. It’s very close quarters in there at the peak time. I sure hope this is only temporary during renovations. I’m sure proper air circulation will return upon completion. It’s safe to say that we won’t be going back until they’re done. Also, the Snax really needs to add another cashier to occupy the empty cash register at the counter. It’s the only place for food and there’s always a long line and long wait for food. There’s only one cashier who also has to give black card and elderly members priority which holds the line up even more. While standing in line 20 – 30 minutes a woman behind me threw up on the floor right in front of the counter. There wasn’t a rush to clean it up. Later we say a cook cleaning it up. Luckily we got our food before that… the pizza and nachos were very tasty. Lastly, the most positive experience of the evening after cleaning barf from my pants and shows was the band that played. They were really good. They had a wise range of music. From Chicago to Prince. Needless to say, Valley View has been our favorite casino for many many years, even before the new casino was built. I’d really like to see that customer service come back.

First time I ever went to any casino and was told their buffet was sold out after driving all the way from South San Diego. After I posted my last comment was ask to PM my contact info to give them a second chance, which I did. That was their second chance they have not contacted me at all. So they failed their second chance their customer service is atrocious. I will not make a trip back to this place no matter what. I think they just made that comment to make people think that they are on top of it they’re not. I only wish I could give them a half a star

We had our first visit to VVC to take advantage of their reduced Buffet price of $ 20. After reading some of these negative reviews I didn’t hold very high expectations. Boy, were we surprised! The Buffet was great with courteous employees and a large and tasty selection of dishes including the unlimited lobster tails. We found that they had something for everyone; salads, veggies, seafood, prime rib, and a great selection of delicious desserts. We enjoyed the large no-smoking section which had lots of fun low-denomination slot machines which provided lots of play time. Being our first time, we were given cash back the amount determined by how many points were accumulated plus a free T-shirt. We certainly hope to return although it’s a long drive.

The Friday Night Free Buffet is March is a bust. Do not go there on Friday because you will not get into the buffet, BLD is swamped, & the hot dog/pizza place is wiped too. I am here now on Tuesday, 15MAR wanting to have one TV put on NHL but was told by the bartender that the«President» said only college basketball on all TV’s tonight. REALLY??? You have got to be kidding me! Anyway here are the good things about Valley View: Valet Parking is the BEST! Joe in Valet is the consummate professional, always professional, friendly & courteous. The buffet is good, especially the soups. Now the bad(2 total): the majority of the customers are rude, obnoxious, cheapskates & losers. They are the worse of any casino in San Diego. It’s a casino. I really don’t get in to casinos. We were here for the buffet, which was stellar. But I will say that the air in here is very clean. I think it may be nonsmoking i’m not sure.

Driving to Valley View is a trip, no pun intended. First, you pop a dramamine, because you’re gonna be rippin’ and rollin’ around some twisty mountain roads. Wifey does not do well with the ol’ heave ho, so she stuck her head out the window, eyes squinted, long black hair blowing behind her like a pirate flag. After the mountain, you land in a rural area full of farms. Signage tells you you’re on native land. Drive some more, crest a hill, and thar she blows: Valley View Casino. Parking was a breeze, as was walking from my car into the facility. Signed up for a player’s card. The promo for first timer’s(at the time of this review) was for every 25 – 50 points of slot play you generate, you earn $ 25 back. So it was like, earn 25 points, get $ 10. Earn 50 points, get $ 25 back. Earn 100 points, get $ 50 back. And so on up to $ 100. You can have all the soda you want! Fountain drink stations are liberally sprinkled throughout. There is also a non-smoking casino section that has excellent pressurization and filtration. Wish these old degenerates would switch to vaping so I wouldn’t smell so terrible after a few hours. Sadly, wifey lost almost $ 200. I won about $ 75. So all in all, for about 4 hours of play, we were -$ 125. With the cash back($ 75), we netted out -$ 50 for the day. Not bad. Count all the free Coke Zero I chugged and it gets even better. Will be back to try their lobster buffet!

Mom and daughter dates call for casino time! Casinos are basically my moms Disneyland! Haha. I don’t usually come this far but we wanted to use their buffet deal-$ 20 for all you can eat lobster, yes please! I’m giving good olé valley view 3 stars because of how smokey it was inside-the stench was a bit overbearing. I don’t mind smoke at all but for some reason the smell just lingered. It was a little warm inside too so I’m sure that’s the reason for the smell. Usually air conditioning can mask any odors but not yesterday-it was pretty bad! Yes, there is a non smoking area too but I didn’t make it in there. The staff here is real friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean. They have a self serve soda machine in the non smoking area next to the bar. Valet is free too, tipping is optional! I’ll probably be back in the next few months.

Stopped in for all you can eat lobster buffet and a break from a traffic jam after a camping trip to the desert. I was surprised at how many people were swarming the casino and noticed a high level of security detail. It was mostly zombies and ghetto gangstas, with fringe elements of every culture. I waited in line to get into the buffet, and paid my tab and tipped before seeing the food or knowing if I would get good service. I thought a tip was a recognition for the level of service, not a way to decide if they are going to give good service. The cashier, Jill had an overly bitchy attitude and I could not wait to get away from her chi. We got plates and started loading them up with all kinds of food options. I was in line for the Lobster tails but people just shoved their way in front of me. My first round of food included a chile relleno, one mini lobster tail, some smaller sized cold crab legs, «sushi» and tempura shrimp. The photos on their web site and Unilocal are totally misleading, relics from the good old days I guess. The web site clearly shows lobster claws, which were nowhere in the buffet. You will never see anything that remotely resembles these photos, only in your imagination. For a better idea of what to expect here is a photo: The lobster was a teeny tiny tail only morsel that was stuck to the shell. I peeled the crab out of my legs and doused it in lemon and butter. You can get crab and lobster, but you will work for this luxury. The sushi was primarily«krab» and teeny portions of fish, cold rubbery cooked unagi. The sushi was underwhelming. The only reason that this gets 3 stars is because our server was sweet and candid. She told us that you might have to wrangle into the lines for the best foods. I would rather spend my $ 32.99 buying a plate of crab or lobster than at this buffet. You certainly would get a much better meal for that cost at practically any restaurant in the nation. In the end I ate three lobster tails, but the amount of meat in them added up to about one small tail. I realized that I was still at a buffet and not to expect much more out of it. I would consider eating here again during lunch or if it cost less. I am not going to rush back anytime soon. I notice that the casino commented on my review as if they were interested in what I had to say. I responded to her questions and they did not respond back me, lame.

They have their Mon thru Thursday Special. $ 10 lunch, $ 20 dinner. Last night I went first time since 2012… Smaller plates, Main Lobster tails the size of a small salt shaker cut in half and you get one per person … Crab legs aren’t worth lifting up to the plate. Then there’s Prime rib with no flavor and bloody. Deserts are bite size so grab two plates to equal other buffets. Great if you’re on a diet. Too long of a drive … I will keep going to Pala more value there. See you at Pala Casino was not busy, neither was the buffet.

Valley View Casino layout design was well thought out. Case in point: the road leading to the casino leads you directly into the multi level parking lot. Which is a great idea since it protects you from rain compared to an open parking. Once inside the casino, there is no smell of cigarette fume that seems to be the norm in most casinos. And, if you’re hungry the buffet is just right there. And, after all these years, Valley View has now it’s own hotel. Now, we can relax and truly enjoy playing here because we don’t have to worry«What time it is.» Rooms are nice(deluxe rooms or luxury suites and guests can enjoy infinity pool while enjoying the mountain view. As a VIP guest, you will get a complimentary breakfast at BLD’s Café available from 7:30 — 11:30am. Not bad, you really get your money’s worth.

I’ve been to this casino many times, but on this visit we decided to stay one night as a hotel guest. I get many offers from the casino, such as free T-shirts, free gifts, free buffets, but sadly never a free hotel. On this visit we paid $ 129 for a king standard room on the eighth floor. Rooms here are very spacious, very well lit with lots of natural sunlight. There’s plenty of storage space, and closet space. I also did not have any problems finding an outlet to recharge my electronic devices. They do have a 30 pin Apple iPad alarm clock if you still have an old-style Apple product. There is complimentary water when you check in, and more bottles inside the room. Unfortunately on the eighth floor there’s only an ice machine, so if you want a soda, you would have to go to the gift shop and buy a soda, or go to the casino and get a complementary small cup. The bathroom had a sunken tub, and a very spacious shower. The water temperature for the shower was excellent, with the hot water coming out immediately when you turn it on. Unfortunately the water pressure is not as strong as I’d like it to be and having long hair, it takes time to rinse out the soap. I wish that the hotel did offer a shower gel, but they did provide an excellent massage glycerin soap with tiny specks of(perhaps walnut?) inside to exfoliate your skin. There’s no tax or resort fee in the price, so the $ 129 was what we paid. All hotel guests have use of complementary Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and use of the infinity pool. If you are eating at the buffet, the front desk will also give you the front of the line«pass». We had an excellent stay, and the room was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.
