It’s dirty. During the summer, it’s a popular fishing spot, and *those people* tend to be dirty. Trash everywhere. If you have a dog or are walking barefoot, watch out for exposed hooks and broken bottles. The cans, tackle boxes, coolers, plastic bags, etc… aren’t much of a threat, in that regard. Otherwise, it’s a cool park. Lake with an island. You can swim out to it(I know nothing of the cleanliness of the water, but… I didn’t die) during the summer. You can walk out during the winter, when it’s been frozen over long enough. Also has the Meramec river(again, popular fishing spot, lots of trash — but some parts are good). I sometimes think it’s a hook-up spot, just because there are often guys just hanging around in their cars. If it is, cool — not judging, doesn’t affect me. If it’s not, I apologize for thinking you’re sitting around waiting for a hook-up. –2 stars because of the fishing-related trash. Otherwise, it’s a great park(if small).
