My finger is bleeding but I had to write this review. A nail tech was very rough and caused the bleeding. After cutting my cuticle (without asking me) she managed to make me bleed and then proceeded to tug at my cuticle further causing it to bleed more. To wipe the blood she then kept rubbing it with a gauze soaked in nail polish remover! Yes, acetone on an open wound sure feels great! What’s worse is the owner was sitting there and didn’t say a word. I can see why there are bad reviews but unless you go to Sam do not go here. Also the place is not clean and the pedicure chairs are old and outdated.

Don’t go there… The salon is dirty, they do an ok job with the nails but most of the staff has an attitude. It’s not an enjoyable experience. Besides getting my nails done I just want to be able to relax. That was not possible with this energy there. You could tell that they don’t get along with each other. They gave each other looks that could kill. I’m not here for that.

i legitimately hate this place. I came home having to file a gel manicure because she couldn’t shape them correctly. This is my first time coming into this establishment, I usually go to the nail salon a block over (closer to merrick not sunrise) but they were so crowded! Of course they were that is the best nail salon on Rockaway ave. First off the hispanic lady had no idea how to fix a silk wrap, she had to ask the asian owner. She is also very sloppy, made a lot of errors, my cuticles look DISGUSTING omg i hate her LOL. My pedicure was okay. Don’t waste your money here. Complete basura! I gave her a 9 dollar tip because i am just way to nice but honestly she deserved 0 and needs to crawl back under the rock she came from!

Yeah, I wouldn’t waste my time coming here. It’s half the price that I usually pay at my regular place in Garden City, but this place is completely unhygienic and my hands just feel gross now. It doesn’t look like they sanitize any of their tools and the nail technicians hands were just rough and dry — her nails even looked dirty. My favorite part of this whole experience is the dead flowers in really dirty water. I won’t be coming back and don’t even understand how this place is still open.

I’ve been going to this nail salon for about 7 – 8 months. Today, I went to get a mani/​pedi. After about 15 – 20 minutes, I was still waiting for someone to soak off my gel polish. When one of the nail techs was finally available (the female manager), she took another customer to soak her polish off even though I got there before she did. When I asked her about it, she said that the other customer had an appointment. What! Even if that were the case, she should have said something to me about it to allow me to decide if I wanted to continue to wait instead she didn’t even acknowledge that I was waiting and that I was there first. I just left. My time is just as important as the next customer. We are paying the same price for their services. This is a very poor business practice and I will take my money elsewhere.

My first experience here was a bad one, but now that I make appointments and go to a specific nail tech… I love it. My gel manicures last longer that the regular 2 weeks.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. They are very unorganized. I came in for a pedicure. Wasn’t even told where to have a seat or who would be taking care of my. One of the workers was running around taking care of 5 people. The water was cold. The lady doing my pedicure barely scrubbed my feet. When one of their regulars walked in everyone stopped what they were doing to welcome her. Basically everything was so half asses that I will never go here again and I regret giving a good tip because it wasn’t deserved at all. If you like a good foot massage with your pedicure you’re better off going to Nail Gallery across the street where you will get the service you’re paying for.

Ive been coming here for years. Always new opi colors, they do a great job on cuticles and shaping the nails. ⁹⁄₁₀ I leave very happy.

They show obvious favoritism to their regulars. What about everyone else? Once the chair slid from behind me and I actually fell. It was bad enough that one of the patrons laughed, but the main female manager there also laughed. Silly me for returning there recently which was about a year after my fall … I sat in the chair pedicure chair for about 5 minutes only for the same female manager to say to me that «oh I’m sorry we have 4 appointments ahead of you and then escorted me out of the shop. NEVER AGAIN!
