I went in last week to drop off a package for UPS pickup. The package was ready to go (postage pre-paid), and the rather surly man behind the counter told me that there would be a $ 3.00 surcharge… to just leave a package for a UPS pickup! This location is listed on the UPS website as an Authorized Shipping Outlet; is this surcharge approved by UPS, I wonder?
Anyway, down the road to another facility where they cheerfully accepted my pre-paid package for FREE.
