El Taco Llama

I love their Tacos al pastor they are the best thats the only reason i go there on friday-​sunday they make them fresh and you can see the guy when hes cooking the meat outside. Best tacos al pastor in town for me!

I love how this place is open late plus they have the best tasting tacos in my block. When ever i think about Mexican food this is where i eat. Enchiladas are a must!!!

This place has been around for about 29 years in the same location, so they must be doing something right. I have been coming here myself for over 20 years as I used to work right next door to this restaurant.
Their food has not changed a bit, still great red salsa, meat is always fresh, beans are delicious and the rice good. I have eaten their Tortas, Burritos, Tacos, Gorditas, Beef Soup Etc. Etc. Etc. and everythinh I have ever had here has been great. Never have I had a bad meal for either Lunch or a Quick Dinner. There are many locations under the same name and quite honestly this is by far the best location, I have eaten in other locations and even though the bame is the same the quality of taste is different. Even in a simple taco or burrito, believe it or not.
If you are ever around here pay a visit to them, if you are looking for a decent quick bit. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed as I never have been.

Good egg n potato burrito, it was worth it. Got it with horchata never dissapoints. good filling for a low price. but that’s basically it. breakfast is good, I don’t recommend anything else. seafood don’t even think about it. the sauce has had that plain watery flavorless taste it’s had for so many years .the quality of the meat is bad. came in with my hoochi-​mama wasn’t greeted and stood there for 3 minutes till another lady came to take our order. i asked for cheese in the burrito, chorizo, and ham none of the 3 were inside. then no napkins I went up to ask but no one was in sight. it took 3 time of asking for limes and the lady was touching money and sliced my limes.

Ordered some menudo it was so biter and old I don’t understand how they can serve you old food the tortillas were stale the only good thing about my order was the can of Coke horrible service

first timer. small place. ordered a burrito tripas (intestines). overcooked. gave me diarrhea for days.

Be warned: this is a long review! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Let me put it this way, (this is the same way I’ve described this place to my friends and family): if I could only choose ONE restaurant for the rest of my life and had to only eat at one place, this would be it!!! The variety here is amazing! From delicious Mexican food, to seafood, to a basic salad or burger and fries, this place has it all! I have been coming here for as long as I can remember (probably since I was a child, I am now almost 27) and the flavor is the same amazing flavor I remember from back in the day. I usually have the tacos de asada or al pastor, the meat is juicy, full of flavor, and they really hook it up! Also, the meat is actually meat and not pieces of fat like other places. Now don’t get me started on the salsa (the red is my fave!). It definitely completes the taco and it wouldn’t be the same without the salsa. Once you taste it, you’ll know it’s a signature «taco llama» taste. I’m also obsessed with their tacos de tripa (or burrito de tripa. Yes, they make it. Yes, ask for it!!) the tripa is clean (if you’ve had nasty tripa elsewhere you know what I’m talking about) and I always ask for it extra cooked, so the tripa is a crispy bite of epic flavor. The tacos al pastor are actually cooked on those pastor things that rotate with pineapple! I’ve also tried their coctel de camaron, gorditas, burgers, and tortas ahogadas. I’ve never been disappointed at this location. Trust, I’ve been to many other taco llamas and none compare to this one! One more thing that makes it stand out: the taco guy who is usually cooking the tacos outside on weekends. Dear taco guy: thank you! For how fast you make these tacos (seriously record speed), for how you hook it up with the meat, and lastly, for how nice you are and the friendly attitude you have had each and every single time, regardless of how busy it is. I would go crazy trying to make a trillion tacos for impatiently waiting customers, but you always seem so calm and collected. Seriously check this place out if you’re in the area. I would honestly even travel from far away as long as I can taste this awesome deliciousness!

Dont waste your money, we ordered the carnitas burritto.& taco plate about 30 mins ago plus 6 carnitas tacos & one bite & i spit it out the pork was way over cooked & hard as a rock you couldn’t swallow it if you wanted to. it was the same for every item we ordered. & the flavor taste like old stale overused grease. My husband watched them take the bag of cooked pork out of the freezer and reheat it. (gross) Also we ordered 2 cans of soda i got a sprite & my husband got a mug rootbeer, The sprite tasted a little strange but nothing like my husbands rootbeer, That can of soda must of been 5 or more years old it was the nastiest oldest tasting rootbeer I have ever tasted I mean it was awful. I am actually disputing the charge because that so called food cost me over $ 30 & it all went iin the trash can. Now we have to go spend another $ 30.00 so we can eat.

So I called to see if they accept card, so when I arrive they tell me cash only thanks for wasting my time and gas!

The chicken was a bit dry, but the pastor was amazing. They cook the pastor right outside the store for you to see. Order some of their tacos. Lack of air condition was the only real problem.

It was only 12 in the afternoon meat was all dry. Got a burrito de alpastor. Worse burrito ever. Place is always dead. I just want to make it clear THIS PLACE IS NASTY! Never Coming Back Again!

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! They have the best tacos de tripas anywhere. Everything here is delicious, but the tripas and pastor are the best I’ve ever tasted. I really like how on weekend nights they have the taco guy and tables outside, specially in the summer. It gives the place a really chill, laid back feel.
The staff is super nice too, I always like talking to the taco guy outside, he’s so funny: D
Don’t be intimidated by the parking, people are always coming and going. If anything, just park at the 7 – 11 at the corner and walk there lol

OMG !! Their burritos are so delicious. I can eat this all the time ! My all time favorite is the lengua burrito or the asada, but everything is good here ! Highly recommended !

Friendly employees. Clean inside. Good food. I have only had tacos but they were very good. Only negative thing is that they charge 75 cents if you use debit card. Looking forward to trying other menu items. My tacos were stuffed w meat. They were not stingy.

New cook and new cashier. The camorones ala diabla had little flavor and was only spicey. The rice was bland and the portion got smaller. It was much better with the old cook. The floor and tables were dirty.

This place looks really ghetto buttt Their al pastor tacos every Friday Saturday and Sunday after 6pm are the bombest tacos ever! I don’t know about the restt of the food but the al pastor is super bomb and freshly made and cooked in front of you on a shawerma style thing that spins as it cooks. A must try!

Hands down, they make the best burritos, tacos and Fortas I’ve ever tried. I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl. I am really find of their al pastor burritos and tacos. Honestly, I could eat their food anytime without any qualms. The restaurant itself is such a tiny place that it doesn’t even have a bathroom! It’s small and a little cramped, so it’s best to order ahead and pick up to go. Awesome food. Awesome meats. Great pricing. I’m in!
