This place is so disgusting i dont recommend anyone to go therr the bathrooms smells the toilets stalls don’t have a door the margaritas cost 12.00 that didn’t have no alcohol. And the service suck the only thing that was good was the music. I don’t give any stars at all. Save your money for a
McDonald’s is better then this place. I had to give a star cuz it wouldn’t let me post unless but in reality it doesn’t deserve one.

The food was good but over priced for the quality of restaurant. I hated the atmosphere. Sort of like a cheap cafeteria atmosphere. The service seemed rude. I kind of felt like we were wanted there. It was weird. Felt dirty inside too. We live a couple blocks away in an area that’s lacking good restaurants and still plan on never returning.

This place was terrible. The food was good but their service was so bad. You walk in and the waitresses just look at you instead of greet you. You have to sit yourself so at first you feel lost. They take extremely long to approach your table and when they finally do they just dump the menus and walk away. You wait another 20 minutes for them to ask you if you want something to drink. Once you order your drinks they must make it from scratch or something because they take forever to bring it to you. Same goes for the food. Not once do they check up on you, unless you’re a group of guys then you do get a lot of attention from the bimbos. When it’s time to pay you might as well dine and dash because they are not paying any attention to you. My husband had to get up and ask for our bill.

Stay away!!! We ordered pupusas and plátanos and my husband, sister and I all got food poisoning. We where in the bathroom the whole night and all the way to the next night that we had to miss work and even had to go to the ER that’s how bad it got. Not sure if it was the pupusas or the platanos, but we will not be going there again. Also when I called the restaurant and told them what happened, the girl on the phones response was that the manager only works on weekends… smh

Food was okay, nothing special enough to excuse the service. I took my boyfriend’s Mexican parents out to lunch and being that I am Salvadoran I have never noticed that such ignorance even occurs here. They were discriminated against, we noticed many other (all Salvadoran) people get started off with salsa and chips along with their drinks and we weren’t. There was one waitress there with red hair (none wore name tags) that was kind to us and served us our drinks and took our order in a reasonable amount of time. After we got our drinks our waitresses were switched and we waited a little over 20 minutes to get our food while the customers who came in long after us got their meals served before us. Once we finally got our pupusas, we waited another 10 minutes to get our salsa and curtido we asked for. It wasn’t even busy! We never got asked if we needed anything, or even to fill our drinks and if we’d dare ask for anything we’d receive a lot of attitude along with it The owner was extremely rude as well, we noticed him giving bad looks over at our table and when my suegra asked for «una cajita chiquita» he shouted over «dile que se dice PEQUENA!» Overall bad experience and I was completely embarrassed in the way Salvadoran’s were represented, don’t come if you’re not Salvadoran basically.

Place is infested with roaches, crawling on and under the tables. Worst part was that when told one of the girls working there, she acted like if it was normal at this place .

Average salvadorian food not happy with my breakfast this morning and service is slow will not be coming here again

OH MY GOODNESS! Worst service ever. The waitress look like terrible. Not professional at all. They have the worst customer service. And they are sooooooooooooooo slow. My goodness. It took the waitress 20 minutes to bring me water and it took her about 2 hours to bring the WRONG FOOD. TERRIBLE PLACE. STAY AWAY!

The Food here is amazing. Or at least very very good.
It looks like an old German Restaurant that was taken over by Salvadorian owners and converted.
I have to totally agree with the other reviewers in saying the biggest problem with this restaurant is the service. You walk in and you have to find yourself a seat. Don’t wait just sit. Try to sit near other people if you want service.
We got an Initial waitress that came by and dropped off our menus. Then completely disappeared. No drinks, no water, just menu’s and puff gone. We waited about 30 to 40 minutes before one of us got up and went searching for a waitress. Any waitress. Found someone and brought her back to our table to place our orders. Oh thank god our orders have finally been placed. Ended up waiting another 30 to 40 minutes to get our food.
The food was great. Pupusas were delicious and the Steak Ranchero type dishes were great. Even their Tamrindo drink was great. I think this would be a great restaurant if it didn’t have such a terrible time trying to buy food. Noone ever came back to ask us if we needed anything or ask for refills. We were barely able to flag someone down to ask for bill as well.
I think maybe they should setup some kind of order at the counter system like Wendy’s or Carl’s Jr. This way we don’t have to deal with a waitress and it could become a great restaurant.

In the wall. Anyways… Food is good. We got the Pupusas and they took forever to come out with our order but they were good. We were drinking ensaladas and we needed a refill before our food came out and the waitress never came back around to offer us a refill. Sunday night they have a DJ playing music and ppl are there drinking. Kinda weird but whatever. If I come back Im definitely taking it to go. The customer service is not the best.

My family and I have been looking for a good salvadorian restaurant and we finally found one! This place has the best breakfast! I love it !

Per my mothers experience at this restaurant I had to put a negative review. HORRIBLE customer service. The waitress wants to move you from your seat, to sit other patrons.

I went to this restaurant today, I don’t live in the area but my Mom does and we were running errands, anyway First the positive: the pupusas were fresh and tasty, but I agree with other reviewers the service was super slow, we order around 10:50am didn’t get our food until past 11:30am, the service was friendly enough but the music and TV were super loud for a family restaurant at 11am, also its too dark in there, basically the Ambiance not for family outings, I would advice to just call in your pupusas order. Much better idea.

This place is seriously disgusted before was good but now looks like a strip club bar while you’re waiting for you’re order is absolutely bad the ppl who goes there and ppl that works there almost showing they’re parts no lying that thing it isn’t a” family restaurant «plus they give the orders wrong when u have pay even extra sometimes and all they have there is freaking beers but they won’t have «salvadorian antojitos like atol de maiz «seriously then why even call it salvadorian restaurant not lie parece puterio I jst wanted to run out with my mom definitely NOT EVER GOING BACK. SO RUDE! ON THE PHONE, IN PERSON, RUDE!
I placed an order and sent my little brother to go pick it up long after the quoted wait time of 20 mins. When he arrives, they tell him that they didn’t receive any order, and he had to call me. I then called the restaurant and asked what the hell happened to my order and that my little brother was trying to pick it up. I was then told that I did have an order waiting but no one had come in to ask for my food. My little brother was standing RIGHT THERE. It was so stupid to have to deal with these people. What should have been an easy pick up, they managed to screw up. It’s so annoying that I can’t even go and get this straight because they are just so rude. Their food is good, but I refuse to go back to the restaurant to dine because of their creepy male customers and their rude scantily clad waitresses. This is truly the last straw and I will never give them my business again.

So this place… what can I say.
First: The only reason why they’re even getting a star its because the food is actually good. Great food. Everything is baked on the spot. Def a plus.
But on the contrary as to why they lost so many stars:
First: Their customer service is the worst. The girls that work there are ALL rude. They leave you waiting to either take your order or give you your check. You have to wait patiently while they ALL chit chat behind the counter.
I waited about 20 min to get my check after i asked her TWICE that i wanted my check and that whole time she was standing behind the counter.
Second: Are you kidding me… i DO NOT WANT TO SEE YOUR ASS HANGING OUT WHILE IM TRYING TO EAT MY FOOD. This is not a family restaurant like they claim.
Third: This place needs some cleaning. You can smell the bathroom odor while youre at the table. PLEASE GET SOME PEOPLE TO CLEAN IT UP… how about one of those servers that just stand behind the counter.
BOTTOM LINE: Do Not Take Your Family here… not worth it. Theres nothing good about it. You really want Pupusas go to this bakery on Reseda called El Carusel. Amazing food. Great service. Decently dressed workers. It is always busy so call in your order.

This place was terrible. The service was slow, considering it was practically empty. The food was average and there was no live music, despite it being advertised everywhere. Oh, and there was some guy hocking bootleg movies and DVDs… so ghetto. Never again

If youre craving great pupusas, go here! The ladies here KNoW how to make bomb Pupusas. The red salsa is not spicy and it tops the Pupusas very well.
I love this spot and I can’t help but pull over when ever I drive by.
Call your order in cuz it takes a while since they are made on the spot.

Never again!!!1 22%-200% price increase on drinks on the weekend. Why?, you may ask, because they have a DJ playing music so loud, you can’t enjoy your meal. They think they can get away with this because they have a handwritten note, in English and Spanish, stating that «prices are subject to change without notice.»
We ordered 4 Pupusas at $ 1.95 EA, and Yuca frita w/​Chicharron for $ 6.99, according to the menu. In the menu our drinks were listed as follows: Heineken $ 3.75, Water $ 1.80, Pepsi (can) $ 1.95… We were charged as follows Heineken $ 4.60 (22% increase) Water $ 3.00 (200%) Pepsi $ 3.00(200%) THAT WAS THE BIGGEST RIP-​OFF EVER!!! I should have known better when they were advertising $ 22.80 buckets of beer and only saw about five or six beers in a buckets on the table across from us. I HAD TO ASK FOR THE CHECK. Which was not even itemized! I had to ask for a menu and then ask the waitress to write out the order and to show me the price increases.
On top of the rip-​ff drink, THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!!! One waitress came to take our drink and appetizer order and another took our entrée order. We got our drinks and entrée first. Our appetizer came ten minutes after we had already finished our meal. The waitress, who took our entrée order, had to ask us if we had received our appetizer and then came out with it. Like other fellow Unilocaler’s, we only saw the waitress’ when they took our order. Otherwise, they were making their rounds at male only tables, flirting and chatting them up. It seemed that the tables that had couples or family did not receive as much attention as the male only tables.
When the waitress was confronted about the price increase, she pointed at the menu’s handwritten note about «prices subject to change» and was flustered and confused when I used the calculator to show her the price increase percent. She referred me to another waitress who again showed me the note on the menu. On top of that, we had to pay an additional $ 1 for paying with a card.
Apparently the owner/​managers name is Alfredo and he would not be present until 10p.m. that night. Interesting.
NEVER AGAIN!!! The food was not worth it AT ALL.
