My colleagues and I were on the prowl for something filling yet relatively healthy. One of them recommended we try«café yumm!» And I must say it was a nice healthy alternative. Now, it is not a cheap lunch. I would say on par with Freshii which isn’t far from this places location. I ordered their jazzy yum wrap. I was impressed with how full they make the the wrap. On the downside however, the fullness of the wrap also makes it almost impossible to eat without a fork. They don’t actually«wrap» the wrap… Rather turn it into a cone that holds all the goodies. I was happy with the chicken and the beans and jasmine rice. The one thing I was a little disappointed with was the amount of sauce they dump into these bowls. I actually would expect the opposite given what they are typically known for. It turns what could be a relatively light lunch into something a bit too heavy. None the less, lesson learned. Next time I will ask them to go easy on the sauce!

I was so looking forward to a place that offered a gluten free menu with a bit of flavor… we’ve given this place 3 tries and have to say… 1) If the manager is in-house, you’ll likely have a better experience. 2) If not, cashiers take your order & speak quickly and are not helpful, unless you want a «sample»…then, I guess you’ll be happy. 3) On all 3 visits, there was an error in our order. Once, I ordered a medium, received a large. Once, we asked for soup add-on, didn’t get it because it wasn’t listed on the receipt… and so on. 4) The clean up is very iffy. And, if you watch them, they simply«sweep» the crumbs to the floor & walk away. Yuck & they have CARPETS! Dear Manager: Please start watching what is going on! Please know that things are not right & could be sooooo good… if you fix the things that are soooooo wrong. Or, bye-bye!

One of my favorite foods. I am addicted to the Yumm sauce. The large bottle is about the price of 2 yumm bowls. their soups are fantastic as well. Tonight I need to head out and grab a new bottle of sauce. My beans and rice are sad without it

I adore Yumm sauce! I always get the Yumm Baby with chicken when I come here, and I bring my girlfriends pretty frequently. There’s a few options for rice bowls around here, but this is my favorite. It’s nothing fancy, in fact I usually buy a jar of Yumm sauce and make a bowl myself at home, but when I want to have something quick and delicious while I’m out that won’t leave me feeling ill, this is the way to go.

Clean, nice bathroom, efficient and friendly staff… and they serve beer… but they lost me with the food. The rice was delicious, but the rest left me craving something with a little more something. Just can’t say what was missing. Portion size small and healthy. I’d certainly be healthier if I only ate here. Just didn’t care for the food. Personal preference.

Wow! This is hands down amazing! Super fresh and loaded with flavor! I can’t believe I haven’t been to this little slice of heaven before. As a vegetarian, this place has so much to offer! The yumm sauce is mouth watering! You get full but don’t feel awful afterwards! I plan on being a repeat customer and then some!

I’m not a vegan but had a decent meal here. Had a North African soup and a side salad and it was good. Pretty clean and the service was OK. I probably won’t be back because it isn’t my style of food. Just a little too healthy and not a fan of chain restaurants in general. LOL

I would not recommended this place! The food was not good and cold, and the portions were super small and expensive for the portion sizing.

If you read any of the other reviews, you are going to find a lot of ‘Chipotle meets Freshii’ type observations. I couldn’t agree more. That is EXACTLY what this place is. The ingredients all look swell and are very presentable. They seem to be bereft of seasonings so all the spicing up needs to be done with the sauces. They have a house sauce that’s allright, I guess. Other than that, I suggest you start looking around for the sriracha or whatever floats your boat. Prices are in line with Freshii and a little more spendy than Chipotle; 7 to 10 buck range. There’s nothing standout here but if you go, at least you won’t feel guilty afterwards.

Ok the flavors were good. my first problem is i did not know it was primarily vegetarian. so when i ordered i was like«where is the meat» i should have looked at the menu better. this place reminds me a lot of mighty bowl in downtown Vancouver. i was not disappointed and maybe not a first choice, I would tag along with work friends if they were going there.

Very good I had the bowl and my friend had the wrap. The wrap looked better than my bowl. Good atmosphere. The sauce was good also… Almost too many choices so kind of confusing for first timers.

Café Yumm is an extremely poor mix between Freshii and Chipotle. I got the medium bowl with chicken, add jalapeño salsa no olives. I was expecting the yumm sauce to be a defined bold flavor that someone would be able to pinpoint if they had it alone. This was not the case. The whole meal was extremely bland. The beans and rice were both unseasoned and if you got the regular chicken that is also not seasoned. Not even char grilled. I regret to say(Because I very much wanted to love this place) there was nothing that really set them apart form any other«healthy» option. Nothing signature. The price was also high for something without meat(adding chicken is extra).

Salmon burger left me wanting a different meal. It was burnt and they tried to hide it on the bottom. Teriyaki chicken bento just okay. Nothing special about any of it and there are better places I the area.

It’s an okay place, if not a bit expensive. I’m not personally vegetarian, but I was with a group and they wanted to eat there, so I gave it a go. I ordered the salmon burger, and it wasn’t too bad. The portion was rather small, but the chips that came with it were fantastic. However, the burger itself was rather flavorless, and I’ve had better. If you’ve got money to shell out, sure, come here. But I don’t think I’d spend my own money on the food.

This reminds me of Chipotle for vegetarians. The original Yumm bowl is basically a burrito bowl without the lettuce. You can order chicken, tempeh, or tofu for extra. The medium was a little under $ 7 and filled me up but I wasn’t very hungry. I honestly think I could make the exact same dish at home — all the ingredients are easily found in a grocery store and there isn’t any prep other than cutting. The sauce is the only part that seems unique — but this was nothing too special. Restaurant seemed pretty clean. It’s a simple order at the counter/food is brought to you set up and you bus your own table. Not blown away, but it was a decent meal. I probably won’t be back though because it just didn’t seem special.

This restaurant is such a good choice for a healthy delicious meal. The workers were so sweet and friendly as well. I got the turkey reuban, which was full of good incrediants, and smothered in special Yumm sauce. The fresh tortilla chips on the side were tasty and the pickle slice complimented my sandwich perfectly. Will define try try a Yumm bowl next time, they looked so good.

Café MEH! I was excited to try this place out so I finally had time off and took the plunge. Right when I walked in I was hit by an odd smell, it was strangely reminiscent of a shoe store. Anyway, I thought it might have something to do with that new business smell. I don’t know. I ordered the salmon burger. It was about $ 8 so I was expecting something bad ass. What I got though was a major disappointment. The burger was so thin, I mean this is something I could throw together at home at the end of the month. The cashier was new so I expected him to mess up on some of the stuff like courtesy. I went back and asked him if I could have some mustard and he went back to ask his manager what he should do. No big deal, maybe there’s some kind of company policy that restricts the condiments to only Tapatío and ketchup. I asked if I could just have a larger container than the one that came with the burger or if not then could he just squirt some on my plate. He looked at me queerly and then the manager leaned over from the kitchen partition and gave me a «WTF?» look as well. The only thing I could think of doing was smile. The cashier brought me over another little container just like the one I was already not satisfied with. I thought, «OK. Maybe this will do, I guess». I left this place feeling ripped off, I’m not going to make this mistake again.

Went there with my dad, had a large Jazzy bowl with grilled chicken(no grill marks though) dad had the medium smokey bowl with southwest chicken. Good taste. But, I don’t understand how I got less chicken and less sauce when I got a LARGE and my dad got a medium. Other than that it was pretty good. But if you can’t portion the primary ingredient of the dish to the cost of what you’re paying, then you’re asking for people not to come back and shouldn’t be in the restaurant business.

Stopped in for a lunch. It was a Sunday so it was kind of slow, so the wait was short. Wife got the ginger veggie burger and I got the salmon burger. Both were good, but the veggie burger was definitely better. The salmon burger needs some added flavor, its a bit bland on its own. Definitely more geared towards vegetarian/vegan here so I guess that’s not a huge shock that the vegetarian dish was better. One thing i would like to see is refillable lemonade, i think that would help add a bit of value. Overall we were pleasantly surprised and will probably be back.
