4 stars for the ceviche alone at this family-owned Mexican seafood joint. I can’t speak to the burritos, tacos, or how good the carne asada is, but based on the window murals, they seem to specialize in seafood dishes, so that’s what we indulged in. My friend and I had been seeking out«Agua Chile» — a dish that’s similar to ceviche, but spicier and hard to find in the states. Well, these guys have it, and it was good! Not for the faint of heart, heat-wise, but it was right up our alley. My top recommendation, however, would be for the tostadas that come loaded with a massive heap of their perfect, delicious ceviches(shrimp, fish, octopus, or «mixta»). Best and most authentic ceviche I’ve had in a while. The owners were friendly and we got to hear a little about the cuisine of the Nayarit region of Mexico. The excellent selection of hot sauces made my day, to boot.

The meat in the tacos was horribly dry and of very poor quality. However, the woman running the place was very friendly. The taco’s were only about a buck a piece due to being on special or something, but I would have gladly paid more for better quality. Many different types of hot sauce, and the salsas weren’t bad, except they were extremely mild. Probably won’t be back.

I have eaten twice at this family owned restaurant so far, and I plan to try everything on their menu. Their seafood is the freshest. I tried a shrimp cocktail the first time I went. It was full of very fresh ingredients, if you enjoy fresh cilantro, tomatoes, onions and cucumbers in your shrimp cocktail, this ones for you. The next time I tried their Molcajete cocktail, it was delicious, just right for the hot weather. Monday thru Friday their tacos are $ 1.00
