This location has, on several occasions, refused to pump gas for my elderly MIL. She prefers to shop and gas up at Freddies, Orchards(close to home). However, she now needs to drive the extra mileage and time to Freddies, Cascade Park where they are more than willing to assist the elderly and /or disabled. I e-mailed a compaint to FM some months ago to voice my concern with customer service at FM, Orchards. Their reply was apologetic and said the store manager would be in touch. …3 months and counting. I sent another e-mail a few weeks ago to let them know I had not heard from anyone… still waiting! They tout customer service excellence and yet have failed miserably in this case. I have given them several chances to make amends. We’re done with Freddies !

Ok people. I’m writing this review based on the deli alone. As far as I’m concerned, it deserves to be shut down. I got food poisoning here once, chalked it up to maybe having a flu bug, tried it again, and got sick AGAIN. Violently, violently ill. Then, 3 of my co-workers became sick after eating various items from the deli. All of these instances stemmed from different food items. Fried chicken, sandwiches, fruit salad, etc. DISGUSTING!

We came here today to grab a few things. We didn’t find some items. BTW, they don’t sell any maternity clothes or bras. Other items were easy to find. A little messy in the Easter aisle. Cashier was nice a polite and struck up a nice conversation on our stuffed animal we bought for our baby girl for Easter

This Fred Meyer has ClickList! What a great service! If ClickList could accommodate same day orders, it would be 5 stars. It made my beginning of the week grocery trip so easy! I placed the order last night and picked up today. The pick up area is well marked and well attended. It’s as easy as going to a bank drive thru. The ClickList website was super simple to navigate and the online selections are the same as physically shopping in the store! You can provide comments for each item, which is especially helpful for produce and deli. Pick up times come with an hour window(4 – 5, 5 – 6, etc) so it’s really easy on the schedule. LOVE the ClickList service and expect to use it much more often

I love this fred Meyer. Of the other Freddie’s in the area this one to me seems cleaner and better organized(except for the vitamin section, which I’ve always struggled to find what I was looking for here). I’m not sure why people have rated this store negatively, to me it’s sure deserving of a great rating. Employees are very friendly as well.

Clicklist is the best! Order online, select pickup time, next day go to store, pay, and they load your car. Easy peasy! Only thing that would make it better is same day ordering.

The jewelry department? DON’T BOTHER! I went there with the intention of spending $ for Christmas presents and the employees treated me like I was not worth bothering with. After waiting for at least 10mins before anyone acknowledged me and while employees stood around, someone finally asked if they could help me. He had to check in the back for what I wanted, but instead of checking for me, he walks over and helps another customer. Now this whole time the manager was standing at the register and not once did he look up at me. Another guy comes over and asks how he can help. When I tell him I was being helped, but not sure what happened to the other salesman helping me. Again, they have to check the back for what I want. At this point, the original salesman who offered to help me in the beginning turns around and seems startled to still see me standing there and says, «oh I got distracted». Really?!? I’m sorry, but that is not how you treat potential customers and what could have been a big sale item. I’ll spend my $ somewhere more deserving!

I stopped shopping Fred Meyer when I stopped working at the Jewelers. They’re overpriced for most things and it’s just not worth the drive without that employee discount. I do enjoy the Black Friday sales, though. I wish someone would reconsider the layout of the store and location of sale items. It’s kind of a huge disaster. Women literally shoving each other out of the way to get socks. They are socks, people. Granted, it’s a superbly awesome deal on socks. There really should be a better way, though. Or outlaw carts. Seriously.

Customer service here is bad! I tried to return 2 garden hoses today that were faulty. First they said I could return them at the last 90 days sale price then the manager came and said no they would not. Adiós Fred Meyer. You’ve lost me as a customer. You deserve ZEROSTARS!!!

Have used Fred Meyer Jewelers for years for watches, earring, rings, and repairs. Most recently worked with Don Martel at Orchards location for a custom necklace to match wife’s sapphire earrings and ring. Don poured through many catalogs trying to find a similar design. Finding none, he had his jeweler make a perfectly matched setting for just a bit more than settings in store. I was appreciative of Don’s one-on-one attention and expertise in working out a design when he could have just sheparded me towards other less similar designs. My wife’s eyes lit up when she finally got her long awaited(shame on me!) necklace. It was more than she expected. Thank you Don and Fred Meyer Jewelers; you made me a hero!

Take down the stupid one way arrows at the gas station! It pisses me off to see stupid people not follow directions. But on top of it all Fred Meyers does shit to enforce it. Therefore I will get my gas else where.

Good selection on just about everything. Gas prices are awesome. Good sales, which make for better prices. Hardly ever out of anything in the food selection. The arts & crafts could have a better selection, and some of their supplies as far as notebooks & office/crafts stuff are a little spendy. But clothing has a great selection & great sales! One of my favorite places to shop.

So I guess my community of Orchards is officially ghetto, now that the Orchards FREDMEYER has a gun department. Historically Fred Meyer used to care about the community, but it current owner Kroger and shareholders are all about profits at any cost to the neighborhood. Really Fred Meyer? Orchards doesn’t have enough guns already? And why did you choose the Orchard’s store over other stores to start your gun business? Such a disappointment…

Sad setup they have going at this Fred Meyer. May be happening in your Fred Meyer too. I went to the toothbrush aisle and a camera was recording me and beeping the entire time I was trying to shop for a toothbrush. Annoying !!! I realize theft is an issue for stores but you shouldn’t create security that chases your loyal paying customers away. I spend about $ 200 a week at Freds but Winco will be enjoying more of my dollars from now on.

I don’t really like Fred Meyer to begin with but this one is extra bad. It’s always packed, the parking lot is always crowded and it’s way to small, and the checkers are SOOOOSLOOOOOOW. I’m always in line 3 times as long as any other store.

We recently went to look at furniture at J. C Penny’s in the Vancouver Mall as they were having a 40% off sale. The selection for leather recliners was limited. The only decent one was listed at an unbelievable $ 1,900 or $ 1,140 after the 40% discount and before taxes. They then offered an additional 10% off making it $ 1,026. This was not a top of the line chair like LazyBoy. We subsequently went to the Fred Meyer store in Orchards and purchased a similar leather rocker/recliner chair listed at $ 499 on sale for $ 349. After additional discounts of 10% for first Tues. of month shoppers and another 10% for seniors over 55, we got the chair for $ 229.99— the later two discounts were given to us at the checkout as an unexpected bonus!

The store is clean, the staff is friendly. But this has Got to be the Sketchiest public restroom I’ve ever been in. As far as grocery store, restaurants, etc are concerned, that is. Walking down the corridor to the bathroom, and in the bathroom itself, I felt unsafe, half the toilets had junk in them, the soap container fell apart as I attempted to use it. Just horrible. It took what would have been a 5-star rated grocery store and dropped it down to a 3-star establishment. The management clearly does not pay attention to detail.

Best gas prices around for those of us who don’t do Costco. Parking lot is, at best, confusing and poorly arranged. Somewhat confusing layout, and typical of larger Freddy’s, most of the grocery isles are bisected, creating a cross traffic lane. People in the isles don’t look or yield, and people in the cross lane don’t look or yield, so it gets pretty hairy getting through sans injury most days. And heaven help you if you’ve got a case of beverage, a large bag of dog food, a bag of cat litter, and a half a cart of groceries, because these nitwits don’t care and zoom in front of you anyway!

After living in Portland for the last two years I have a new found appreciation for this particular Fred Meyer– truely a one stop shop. I was having an unreasonably hard time finding Totes rain boots in my ‘hood, so I paid a visit to my father up in Vancouver and stopped in Fred Meyer on the way home. OFCOURSE they had exactly what I was looking for in my size and on sale… Of course. Additionally, they have an impressive hard alcohol section right next to the health food aisles.(p.s. when did THAT happen?) I kinda really love how I can get soymilk and candy cane vodka in the same aisle now, and I wouldn’t even have to pay silly Washington taxes because I’m already being robbed by tax man in Oregon.
