House Of Smoke – Mill Plain

Great stock of shisha, to bad the lack of customer service really brings this place down.

After seeing the vast selection,
I decided to shop here rather than my good ol trustworthy Mary Janes (never making that mistake again)
Before checking out & leaving the Fourth Plain location, the clerk, Shelby, checked my new mobile set up to ensure proper equipment function.
We found a broken coil, which could be replaced by others (if she let us), but it was the last of its brand.
After talking to merchandise manager Anna over the phone, Anna said she could order the piece for pickup in a couple weeks, though I’d pay full price for my item today.
Not minding a small delay, but worried of other malfunctions, Shelby found the Mill Plain location had a few in stock.
Forcing me to drive to the opposite end of the city, after wasting time calling stores and managers for permission, Mill plain location had the item priced higher than the Fourth Plain store. GREAT.
Fourth Plain store had already scanned the item for us with the labeled price, before we took pictures of the labeled item to verify at our next location.
Desiray, at the Mill Plain location, first showed us several wrong items, leading me to believe they were out of stock. It was very unhelpful, seeing as she was uneducated in her own work field.
Desiray blew us off mid conversation to call the merchandising manager Anna once more.
Anna said she remembered us, but would not honor the original price we found at the fourth plain location. (even though last in stock means, last of inventory sold at the wrong price)
Thanks for making this experience difficult, exasperating and my last.
*That being said, Shelby from the Vancouver location was positive and assisting in every way possible. True customer service and team leader. She deserves a far better position than such piss poor «management».

I’ve been to hundreds of head shops & this isn’t only the worst but the WORST BRICK & MORTAR BUSINESS IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!!! Like the other bad review, i too bought something (for twice the price as anywhere else) from these convicts & it turned out to be used & defective (COMPLETELY USELESS) & cost me $ 55. I returned it in the the box the next day & they acknowledged it was used/​defective but since i was dumb enough to buy it from them, its now my problem. I told her i can return it if i bought it online (for less than half price) & she said brick & mortar cant compete with online… uhhhhh, are you kidding me you pathetic loser? I have owned brick & mortar stores & our only hope is «customer service»!
SO, PLEASE NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!
GO THERE TO CHECK OUT WHAT YOU WANT, ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS, WHIP OUT YOUR PHONE & BUY IT ONLINE WHILE YOU’RE IN THE STORE

These guys sell a lot of great products. I get my e-​cigarette cartridges here and occasionally some incense. There was also another product I liked to buy but they stopped carrying at the location I shop at. So I contacted customer service and they made sure to start carrying it again at the location I use, just for me. Great customer service, great rewards system, and overall a great local business I like to support. Thank you!

So I started out going to Mary Jane’s, then discovered HOS. For a minute I was semi-​happy. They had a good selection of kratom, but what the hell did I know? One night I was in a great deal of pain, and discovered a Mary Jane’s SUPER CLOSE to my house. Ok I haven’t looked back since. First off by comparison, the staff at HOS don’t know shit about the products they sell bcs they ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TRY THEM. I would get extremely frustrated asking about kratom and the SUPER SNOTTY SALES STAFF, saying I don’t know, I don’t know. well your selling them in your store you should know this brand of Mang Da is better than that brand. Or what is better for pain? They hardly have the same staff. And changed their rewards program so OFTEN they LOST MY POINTS MORE THAN ONCE! OK so at Mary Jane’s the staff is knowledgeable in ALL PRODUCTS THEY SELL, they are nice, their products are of MUCH BETTER QUALITY! If you want crap go to HOS. IF you want awesome service Mary Jane’s ALL THE WAY!
