I love coming here when they have live music! The beer is great and it never seems too packed.(so there is always room to sit)

If you’re looking for just a beer, and no meal this place will work.(I think you can buy chips, or the like) If you’re a major hops-head you may not find a steady date here as the beers seem to range toward the middle of the road in flavor, not bad, but nothing to warrant a «must have». On the food issue, I saw a sign that allows you to bring in outside food. The atmosphere is chipper, lively, raucous. Good, good! We sat at the bar, a comfortable place to hunker down. One disturbing item: watched a fellow wash beer glasses, a lot of beer glasses by hand. Soak, soap, rinse, but I guarantee you every glass had dish soap residue in it when returned to the drain tray. Nothing like a little soap in your glass to make the beer go down easier. A ploy to increase beer sales? Good old American ingenuity. :) All in all a good spot for a beer.

Best brewery in the Couv. Always look forward to hearing the live music and playing a vintage arcade game while enjoying world class brew.

Loowit– My boys. My beautiful boys. They took me to Loowit. A beer garage. A dart room. Tables to sit at. What else do you need? This place is like when you get picked up in a corvette convertible by a young army major and he takes you to a «beer party» that his commander is having. The beer is flowing, your head feels light, the music is playing, and before you know it you’re in love with a stranger. But that stranger isn’t a man; that stranger is the new beer you just met. And that stranger has a name. And that name is Shadow Ninja. Grandma can only have 4 – 5 beers before she starts to feel jiggly– so I went slow and low. I suggest you do the same. In the beer garage dart room there was a man in a cowboy hat and his pretty little cowgirlfriend were playing music(LOUDLY) but that’s ok cause grandma once dated Chuck Robertson back in the early 40s. He taught me how to Texas Two Step dance so I showed the bar what these boots were made for(LINEDANCING). Ok well I suggest you go. If you have trouble finding it– go to the Hilton then turn left. It is there. Ezekiel 23:19−20 ~Granma McCray

Loowit was another great brewery that we experienced while on our weekend trip to Vancouver, WA a couple of weeks ago. At this brewery we had two of their beers. One was their Red Ale and the other was their Ninja IPA. Both beers were fantastic and had a great body and taste. The Red Ale was delightfully smooth and the Ninja IPA had a great flavor to it. Even Steven liked the Ninja IPA and he has a troubled relationship with IPAs so if he gave his endorsement of it then that speaks pretty highly of the IPA! Definitely a brewery that needs to be checked out!

I’ve only been to Loowit Brewing once, and I went to support my friend’s band’s live performance. The band was Dogs and Beer, so obviously, their performance was appropriate and on point! I really enjoy listening to live music when out on the town, and Loowit Brewing provides a great space for exactly this. Last, of course, the delicious craft beers left me a happy, full lady!

Really nice space and good bartender. Beers were pretty good. Liked the Blonde, the Scottish Ale, the pale, and the IPA. Free video games and steel-tipped darts and regular live music seem like this would make a good regular spot.

I really love this place! Good, consistent beer and the atmosphere is great; very laid back and cozy. My only complaint is that there’s no food offerings. But, there’s plenty of other food options around, so it’s not hard to eat a bit prior to grabbing a pint here.

I love this place. It definitely seems to be where the locals go(I’m new in town). The beers are some of our favorites in downtown Vancouver. The layout of this place is oozing with character and familiarity. Great place for families, group of friends or somewhere to watch some fantastic live music.

Great place to go for a quality beer! I am glad we are finally getting good beer in town. I am a self proclaimed beer snob and I really like their beer. Just wish they had a food selection, but that will come with time im sure. Parking is very limited around this place, staff is very nice and it has a great vibe. Cheers!

The Shadow Ninja IPA was to die for! The bartender(didn’t get her name) was super friendly. But, the best thing is that I could bring in both of my pups. They loved the attention and I loved to socialization. Truly a treasure for Downtown Vancouver.

This place is baller. The bartender, Nina, was knowledgeable and great at conversation. Beers taste exactly like they should. The review by Brian B. is way off base. Maybe he’d more happy drinking at McMennamins. Loowit is a Vancouver destination drinkery. Cheers. Edit: Dear, Brian B… I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings. I have lots of friends who dislike good beer so I’m allowed to make those kind of jokes. Right? Eh? Eh?

I really appreciate the Vancouver brewing scene and what it’s trying to be but I feel like a lot of the breweries are not being honest with themselves. Loowit is one of these cases. I have yet to try a beer from Loowit that I thought tasted like it was professionally brewed, or even tasted good for that matter. All sorts of off flavors and just nothing that really fits the particular style like it should. I admire what Loowit is trying to do but I don’t think they’re up to par. Edit: I’ve seen the jab that someone tried to make at me here including the«funny» ratings. I’ve had everything from Pliny the Younger to Westvleteren 12. I’m not trying to be a beer snob. If you like this place then that is totally cool. It’s not for me to decide what tastes good to you but there’s no reason to disrespect my opinion or make snide remarks either. Cheers.

This is a great local brewery. The Storm Shadow Imperial has a really nice light, sweet, floral flavor. The Shimmer Gloom Stout is on the lighter side, but still very tasty, and the Gaiabolical Pale Ale has a perfectly light hoppine as to it. The staff is really friendly and very happy to provide details on all their beers. The atmosphere is very casual with dart boards and old skool video game consoles. They also host local bands on occasions. The only thing lacking is more seating. Do yourself a favor and check this place out if you want a casual place to kick back with a good pint of beer, or two. This place does beer the way it was meant to be done. From the atmosphere(live music, darts, and lively conversation) to the service… And then there’s the beer!!! It’s to die for. My mom is a self proclaimed beer-snob and we went for one when she came to visit. The bartender recommended we try a «Red Ninja». This delightful mix of the Shadow Ninja IPA and the Two-Sixteen Red Ale was«the best beer [she] ever tasted». He let us taste a couple other samples too. Additionally, the price is right($ 3.75 for a 10oz) and they fill growlers. This is a must try for any beer aficionado in the Portland/Vancouver area!

Great little brewery in downtown Vancouver. They’ve got about 6 of their own on tap. I think their specialty are IPA’s. However, I know their summer ale with raspberries won awards. It’s not real fancy. Really anything goes in terms of ware when you come here. I actually saw 2 men in kilts here and a man with a purse. You can bring your dog, baby, or leprechaun. Anything goes here. I was a big fan of the beer and the service is always excellent. There is no patio :( The only other thing I wasn’t a fan of is the bathrooms. They were gross and could use a little tender loving care.

Stopped by here after a day at the Vancouver Farmers Market. The brewpub is literally a block or two from the market and across the street from the Hilton. They don’t serve food except for a few bar snacks like the Low Bar chex mix and chips. At this time you can bring in your own food, minors and dogs are allowed and there are a couple of arcade games to keep you busy. The beer is good and I’m not a beer person. We had the taster and can see why their Ninja IPA won gold within 8 months of the brewery opening. Way to go! The all around experience was good. They also fill growlers and growlettes to go so take advantage of that. My favorite is the summer ale. Delicious.
