Overall Score: 4⁄5 Ambiance: 3⁄5 When you enter Mon Ami you are greeted to the sound of New Orleans music. The space is long and tight, but not claustrophobic, with a lot of art hung up on the walls. There is nothing overly memorable about the décor, but the smells coming from the kitchen were more promising. Like a traditional coffee shop, this is a sit anywhere type of situation. So feel free to pull up a seat at the window bar or one of their many tables. Speed of Service:5/5 I went on a Sunday morning and expected a long line to be seen. However, the wait time was an unnoticeable 3 to 5 minutes. My party and I used that time to review our menus and place our orders at the counter. Once you order they give you a funny toy table marker as opposed to a regular numbered table marker. Given that each of us ordered a Crêpe and a coffee we knew it might take a little while. So we each served ourselves to the self-service water station and settled in. I would say that the total wait time from placing the order to food-in-mouth was just under 20 minutes. Not bad considered that there were 3 of us in my party. Quality of Food: 4⁄5 Bee Hive Latte — surprisingly not too sweet. Smooth with a very comforting aroma, like days past watching Saturday morning cartoons and eating Honey Nut Cheerios type of comforting. Turkey, cheddar and Tomato Crêpe — surprisingly the main protein in this dish was NOT dry, which is hard to achieve with turkey. Good balance of the core ingredients. The salad was a bit sloppy in presentation but tasted great in combination with the turkey crêpe. Brie and Jam Crêpe — was good but could have been great. Thankfully the brie wasn’t overpowering the jam. Unfortunately, the ratio to brie to to jam was a little off. I would have preferred a bit more of the jam. On the topic of jam, while not advertised, I wonder if this jam was homemade? The homemade jam that I’m used to is a bit thicker in consistency. However, the jam found in this was a bit runny and felt like it misses its true potential. Customer Service: 4⁄5 There is little interaction necessary for a coffee and a crêpe. That being said, they were pleasant and attentive throughout the morning rush. –Free wifi available! –Big Plus, there is a Public parking lot a few feet away from this establishment. –I’m not too thrilled of the the single bathroom. So be sure to keep your eye on the line to the restroom if you’re the type of person that coffee can race through. Revisit Potential: 4⁄5 Overall, I think this would be a great place to revisit. I could definitely see myself coming back to set up my mobile office and crank out some emails while grabbing 2 — 3 cups if coffee Ambiance: 3⁄5 Speed of Service: 5⁄5 Quality of the Food: 4⁄5 Customer Service: 4⁄5 Revisit Potential: 4⁄5

Mon Amour and me ventured in to Mon Ami for a Sunday Crêpe Breakfast and a couple Lattes. The small coffee shop was busy, but we were able to sit at a small table after just a 5-minute wait. Like most coffee cafes you order at the counter. Her crêpe du jour was a Nutella Banana Crêpe while I sampled a Honey Cinnamon Banana Crêpe. Both were classic thin sweet crepes with light filling and toppings. Both were also just kind of ok … hence the a-ok 3 stars overall. At last minute, I switched to a Chai Tea, but did get to taste mon amour’s Latte. Both were fine … and finished before the crepes arrived. No worries since there is free self-serve water available. I definitely didn’t hate Mon Ami. I can’t say I really love it either. Mon Ami is a viable option when seeking a casual coffee shop and creperie in downtown Vancouver, WA.

This place has a homie feel. It’s got a twenty-third street hipster vibe to it. There is a bunch of amazing art on the walls to enjoy. The crepes are amazing. I love the triple berry yogurt smoothies. I saw one of the most beautiful girls I’ve ever seen before there today. The staff are always nice and efficient. This is just an overall great establishment.

I absolutely love the espresso and the crepes. The best part is they offer gluten-free crepes and they are tasty! This is such a treat for someone who has to consitenly be cautious of everything they eat. I really appreciate the option! I try to come here once a month at least. There lattes are delicious and they make each one with care. They only thing I don’t love about Mon Ami is as you walk in there is a funky smell. Don’t turn around at that point. Keep going the expresso and crepes are worth it.

If you are ever in Vancouver, WA, this is a must stop by place to go to. The crepes are fantastic and their choice of fillings are very good. I hate to say it, but after trying the simple and smoked salmon, I prefer the simple more(and I really love fish).

So far we’ve only been in here for a few items, most frequently the mimosas and the crepes. For starters, the crepes are fantastic. They’re just the right size and come with a little salad. They also offer gluten free crepes, and I can’t tell the difference from a regular one(it’s been years, granted) but that’s a good sign. As far as mimosas go, well, you can’t really mess that up, but they pour a nice big glass, which makes it worth the money. I’ve also had a black tea from here that was delicious. All in all, the prices are pretty standard. My only critique is the seating layout… we’ve eaten at a table for two before which is right next to where people order, which is kind of a bad location. Aside from that, Mon Ami is a great place for breakfast, coffee, tea, or mimosas!

Coffee was delicioius. Art on top is always a great start! She tried the Chai, I had a drink listed on their menu with honey in it. YUMMMM! I had the Elvis crêpe with jam. It was very good! My friend had a honey and butter one, or something of that sort and liked it as well. They took up the whole plate and were definitely enough food for one person! I’ll definitely be back! Shame they don’t serve anything but crepes… Like, eggs and bacon… Then my boyfriend would come in; seeing as we live nearby… There’s also a little outside patio. Just a few tables… And there are couches inside. Great art on the walls!!! A few little knick-knacks by local vendors sold, some flyers for upcoming events also, and the barista/cashier were very approachable, friendly, and good-vibed! :)

For such a decadent coffee house they play a lot of 80’s cheese like REO Speedwagon, which sets a mood of casual chill. The crepes here are amazing. My personal favorite is the French Club with Boars Head bacon and apricot jam. It is a bit loud and chaotic, but I still like bringing my computer here, popping in to the wi fi and writing Unilocal reviews. Writing a review of a place while you’re there. Now THAT is living in the moment.

Not to shabby. Nice little place on the main drag; I like being able to people watch. For the first time, ordered a spicy chia and it was actually spicy. Had the spinach, bacon, and tomatoe crêpe with Swiss. It was good and hearty, However the paper thin bacon doesn’t add much to the flavor; couldn’t really tell if there was bacon in it until I opened it up. I know I have no say in what products they buy, but some nice thick cut bacon from a local butcher might do well, or maybe peppered bacon. Either way, still a good place to sit for a bit and watch the world go by.

I’ve really enjoyed this place the several times I’ve been there. Good crepes, friendly service, nice welcoming atmosphere. Very crowded on weekends but it’s worth putting in a crêpe order and walking around somewhere while they make it.

Nice place with good coffee and French crêpe. I like the atmosphere there a lot. I went there with a friend before dropping her at the PDX airport. There was little time to grab the breakfast. This place is wonderful in that I placed order and paid first. We did not wait long before before the coffee and food is ready. We tried the sweet nutella chocolate crêpe, and sugar crêpe, we also had their specialty coffee. Yummy all around. Will definitely go again just to hang out and chill. it has a disco ball hanging from the ceiling and that there are several art pieces hanging on the wall, beautiful ones too, that accentuate the place!

I had a lovely lunch here prior to a meeting. This place is French oriented. They savory and sweet crepes. My crêpe was made from buckwheat. It was tasty. Although this place is listed as inexpensive, the food is very good and the portions big enough without being too big. Glad I stopped. I will come again for a good lunch.

Great breakfast/brunch stop. Has a very nice location in downtown Vancouver. I wish they had some good vegan options. That would be the best!

Very unique and delicious crepes. I had the ham, pear, and brie savory crêpe. The flavor combination was amazing. I could do this brunch every week. I also tried the mango smoothie which was very fresh and refreshing. I look forward to going back and trying a sweet crêpe with some coffee or tea. The space is very warm and inviting for lounging.

Time for a sweet crêpe update. I snuck in here and had a peanut butter and jam, choosing apricot jam. There are several jam choices available, should you wish to try this one. It was topped with their house-made whipping cream. I’m not sure how they manage to concoct something that’s so light and fluffy, yet feels like it weighs 3 pounds while sitting in my spoon. It was all quite good without veering into over-sweetness. There was a lot of crêpe on my plate. If I do this again, I would bring someone I don’t mind sharing germs with and split one savory and one sweet. Unless you are a Big Eater, there should be enough food to suffice.

We found this place via Unilocal when we were out and didn’t have time to look at their menu prior to heading over. I knew it was a creperie, but their breakfast crepes seemed limited(or at least they didn’t have what we were hoping for). They have a big list of savory crepes and sweet crepes. We really would have liked to have seen a crêpe with eggs. My husband ended up going with a pre-made scone which had bacon in it, and I ordered the cinnamon crêpe(which tasted exactly like cinnamon toast crunch, BTW). It was really cloying, and I felt sort of queasy after. The pear crêpe looked really tasty. I’ve had sandwiches made with the same ingredients in the past, but it was time for breakfast and I wasn’t in the mood for salad(all the savory crepes come with a side salad regardless of the hour). To us, this was more of a place to go for lunch, not breakfast.

This is a gem in Vancouver, especially for a step away from your traditional breakfast options. Espresso drinks with a sweet or savory crêpe sounds like a win to me! Gluten free batter as well! The savory one we got was the Turkey, Cheddar, and Tomato, which came with a side of greens. This was incredible. I only took a bite since it wasn’t mine, but I could have had 3! So good and melty. Then I chose the Peanut Butter, banana, cinnamon, and honey, all of my favorite things. This was ridiculously good. The peanut butter was melted and creamy, and the honey aroma was blowing my mind. Best combination known to mankind wrapped in a warm dough blanket. Say no, I dare you. I will become a regular to this place, since we have nothing like it. Not only because of its crêpe menu, but even the atmosphere is cute and unique!
