I tired yet again this morning to give this place a chance. The drive through service is a roll of the dice for good service and rude service. Today it was rude girl. Nice. What made this my absolute last visit was the bark-hard piece of avocado on the egg white and spinach sandwich. Ridiculous.

My soup was cold and my grilled cheese was as well. However the salad was warm. I came at 2 in the afternoon and the tables were full of crumbs and food residue… The the floors and window sills look like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. There were crumbs all along the corners of the serving Area where you get your food. So zero stars for cleanliness and 1 for the food cuz at least they got the order right. I’d rather eat GMOs than visit this location again.

Fantastic fresh food(the bread is so soft!) and very helpful employees! One of the few places I can eat and avoid certain allergens(they have a notebook with charts you can ask to see). A little pricey, but worth it.

I’ve never been to a Panera where you have to go inside to pay for a to go purchase… I pulled up to the drive through and the woman basically laughed when I asked why I can’t get my to go order from the drive through«to go window». Is it not the point of fast food that it’s too go. Wtf???

I wish I could give negative stars. I guess I shouldn’t expect much from a chain food place but I also didn’t expect it to be as bad as it was. The girl at the register barely spoke up I had to keep asking her to repeat what she was saying. I ordered a panini with a side of bread and when my order came out I got a sandwich with half ass melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, & cold ham with a side of chips. That is not what I ordered at all. So what I’ve learned is Panera bread sucks and has employees who can’t communicate. I won’t be back

I’ve been to a couple of locations before this one and they seem good. Over priced, but good. This one was not good. My sandwich was tiny and had no meat on it. Same with my husbands. And still way overpriced.

I usually love Panera but this one was horrible. The staff was polite but my order was incorrect and when I got the right order it was cold. Also after I was done eating I looked over and saw ants.

Discontinued clam chowder??? WTH, Panera? Panera is not particularly close to us, but every Friday that we can, we make the pilgrimage to our Vancouver location and get yummy clam chowder in a bowl. I am home with sick hubby and what does he want? Clam chowder in a bowl. I gladly offer to pick it up for him(because I’m the best wife ever). Alas, I arrive at the window to find that the clam chowder has been DISCONTINUED! How do you discontinue clam freakin’ chowder? The poor bastards stacking up behind me in the drive-thru line had to wait while we adjusted. So sad Panera is no longer an eating establishment open to us. I never say never, but unless we are in close proximity to Panera, we definitely won’t make it a point to go there. No bueno, Panera… no bueno!

We have gone to the Panera on Highway 99 in Hazel Dell now probably about 10 times. This is very close to our house and we love Panera so we were very excited when this first opened several months ago. However, we have been highly disappointed. The food is OK, but probably not up to the standards of the other locations near us. The paninis are especially thin with very little fillings in them. The thing that bothers us the most about this location is how dirty it is. Panera’s logo reads«clean eating» but that is not a lot of fun when you have to eat in a dirty restaurant! The tables are always dirty, the floors and windowsills are always filthy. The bathrooms are dirty and are never stocked with toilet paper. The last time we stopped this past Sunday, both bathrooms were totally out of toilet paper and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The whole place hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. They also would not serve me soup because they said it wasn’t hot yet. This was late morning. I have gotten soup there before a lot earlier than that. It appears that the people who work there get there just in time to open the doors just before the customers, and have no time to pick up our cleanup or prepare anything. The parking always has food smashed all over it. The birds are usually there picking away at what is left over. It just appears that this place generally has really bad management and we will not be returning to this location.

I have always loved Panera, but I am so over this location. Every Time I order anything from here it is not correct or they forget the dressing or are out of something. Very poor management and employees which leads to disappointed customers. Will not return to this location.

We ate at this Panera on a Thursday evening after 7. The Tables were all dirty with crumbs and food residue. We could only find 1 table to sit at that was not dirty. Our utensils were not clean. The air conditioning was on and it was freezing inside. The restrooms were not clean, the waste basket was over flowing and tissue was low. The food was mediocre. We will not eat here again.

By the looks of it, management seems to be poor. Every encounter I’ve had with the managers has been rude. They always run out of bread, order more bread willya!!! Cashiers don’t read back my order very often, so it ends up being wrong almost every time. But I do feel bad for those cashiers, sometimes it’s only them up there and I see them having to get tons of the cookies and breads with a huge line! When I receive my food, those workers are not very friendly. But I have notice the girls who clean up the tables are the friendliest, as well as drive thru workers at times. And I wish there was a cut off to the people who go to the drive thru with $ 30++ orders. It’s not fair to the rest of us who have to wait so long because of your long order!!!(Directed to the other folks who eat here). And I can not blame one location, but prices are spendy and should be discussed with the corporate side. I only come back because the food is very good… When it is correct.

I’m a long time customer of Grand Central Bakery and Café. They have several locations in Portland and Seattle. It is run by a nice family and some good friends. They specialize in fresh daily, natural, local produce and ingredients from excellent soups, sandwiches, salads, artisan breads & mouth watering pastries(fresh baked each morning), fresh coffee and espresso and breakfast sandwiches. I thought I’d try the new Panera Bread on Hwy 99 in Hazel Dell, Vancouver, WA. Very average compared to Grand Central. Maybe since they are new they are still learning, being trained, and don’t have a high quality standard to compare to, but we tried a couple salads and sandwiches and they were just ok, but not the«A» grade that I know I will get at Grand Central on a regular basis.

Their panini sandwiches are their best sandwiches. The ingredients taste so fresh. The pick two is great because I get to have their macaroni and cheese with the sandwich. It’s delicious. Customer service is always very friendly.

I was very excited for Panera to be on this side of town. I went inside to order and I was unimpressed. The woman helping me was very rude while I was ordering and made me feel like I was a burden. I didn’t take that too personally because everyone has their off days. What really disappointed me was the food. The sandwiches I got were very bland and tasted like we’re from the McDonald’s across the street. And the pastries were very dry. Overall, I was quite upset with the experience and probably won’t be back.

Really awesome look and feel. We went in here looking for some Mac and cheese and a loaf of white bread. But lone behold I was informed I can’t order mac and cheese by it self it has to be part of the pick two thing. And they don’t carry white bread. Sucked yes. But as this was my first time at this location and I was looking for what I normally get there; I may go again and try something new next time. Maybe…

I always order Chicken Cobb with Avocado and fudge brownie for desert. I love their Iced Green Tea! The place is always clean and I love the ambiance. Staff are all pleasant and friendly. It’s a good place to study also because they have wifi and outlets. Definitely coming back for sure. Annnnnd it’s like 2 blocks from our place.

So we used their drive– thru option today. This is a good option if you are wearing sweat pants, a paint-spattered t– shirt and a baseball cap to cover your bedhead. Other than that, not so good. We were the 4th car in line and it took 14 minutes from ordering to exiting. The menu board is only going to show you their meal and sammy options. If you want to know about every bread and cookie choice, you will have to suck it up and go inside. Fine. Now I know. From the looks of it, at least 2 of the cars in front of me had trouble with that. Jeez, park and go in, willya? Eventually, it was my turn. That part went well and quickly. Once we placed our order and my card passed muster, I could watch them cook our breakfast sammies on their giant panini cooking thingy. When those sammies came out, they was HOT, lemmetellya. I’m talking hold them out the car window halfway back to the house hot. After that, they were fine. I would not use the drive-thru option again. Not that it was a bad choice but I can use that 14 minutes to clean up enough to walk in, suitable for public consumption and able to avail myself of all the choices they offer.

Food is pretty good but the real winners here are the staff. Wendy at the counter was super helpful with all of my food allergies and finding the right sandwich. Tammy in the table area was incredibly sweet. Makes all the difference.
