Meat and seafood counter open until 9. Come in at 8:30 and it’s completely torn down. Ok I understand you have to clean but can you still get me what I need? Apparently not, asked for some crab, were completely out the employee says. Ok sure. Manager time, she asks him to get me some crab. Now he says well it’s in the freezer behind some pallets and I can’t get to it without moving them. Manager doesn’t make him get me the crab, offers me crab meat in a jar. No thanks.

I live up around the corner from this Salmon Creek Safeway and recently went in to have my wedding bootineer’s and corsages done for six people total. The day of the wedding I went to pick them up and the florist that helping me was gone so the Store Director came over to fill in said the bill was $ 600 dollars, I said that can’t be right for 3 bootineers and 3 corsages that were white roses??, and his responded was«well it is what it is», I was shocked at his response and lack of customer service! Needless to say I left the flowers and this store and will never shop there again! I have used the Safeway florist on 63rd and Andresen and they were awesome… All I can say to the Salmon Creek Store Director whom failed to help me my wedding day is; «Karma’s a you know what my friend… and what comes around goes around!!»

They make good breakfast sandwiches and burritos but every time I come in early(7am) before work I have to wait. EVERY time. Update: went in again 11÷9÷2015 @ 7:45am — left standing at the counter for more than five minutes with no service.

Average Safeway. Close to Great wolf Lodge making it easy to stock up on necessities like snacks, drinks, beer/liquor before your stay. We found it a great way to avoid the price gouging for all the incidentals at GWL.

Every time I have gone to Safeway they never have enough check stands open no mater how long the lines are. I have received conflicting information from the clerks manning the self check out area. One said I could not ring up gift cards there and another said I could. I have yet to be able to purchase a gift card at the self check stand. The clerks spend too much time chatting with customers they know when the lines are long. The self check out lines are not available early in the morning and the store only has one check out line open.

My favorite safeway in Vancouver! The employees are all really great, and they always have what I’m looking for. The lines are never too long, and there are plenty of self check-out lanes. The gas station is never too busy, but is always at least 10 cents cheaper than the gas station across the street! Parking is always pretty easy to find. Anyways… great Safeway if that’s what you’re looking for.

I’ve gotten used to the aloof attitude in the Salmon Creek area, but today Safeway went one step further with down right rude. It’s Sunday morning and I realize I’m out of coffee and a few other morning essentials, ugh. So I thought I would just run up to Safeway, slip through the u-scan and go. However, they did not have the u-scan’s open and only one check out had a light on, but no one was there. I went up and waited and then finally two Safeway workers came to the check out but never acknowledged me waiting as they continued their conversation. Once they were done Shelly started scanning my items, but still did not look or speak to me. I finally popped up with a «Good Morning» to try and break the ice. She looked startled and proceeded to place ALL my items in one bag. My eggs(which its hard to find eggs that aren’t broken at Safeway, anyway), my bread, a 10lb bag of coffee, and a quart of creamer — all in one flimsy bag. I then went to the end of the counter and separated my eggs/bread and put them in a different bag. Yeah, I would have loved to have just gone through the u-scan where I could have given myself way better service. Safeway used to have a reputation of customer service, but I guess they don’t care about that anymore.

When I think Safeway — first thing that comes to mind is quality and customer service. However my local Safeway doesn’t strive for customer service and overall I think the quality has gone downhill. When I walk into a Safeway store I do go into it with the mindset that I know I’m going to spend more money then I would at many other big box stores — but I go into it thinking, I don’t want to bag, or load my groceries — I will pay the higher price to have the employees to do this. Almost always, we end up bagging some of the products and always have to load them into our cart — and NEVER are we asked if we’d like help out.

I really like this location. Everything you expect in a Safeway. I do have to say that the meat counter/area looks kinda nasty when compared to Whole Foods. I’ve been getting all my meat from either WF or Trader Joe’s. When I dropped by the meat area to see about the sausages, I decided to wait for my next WF/TJ trip…
