Stopped to get a hot fudge sundae… Terrible! It is not soft serve ice cream, costs more for less. The quality was something I can’t identify with. Ice cream had a weird texture and taste and the fudge was hard and chewy. Don’t waste your money on a hot fudge sundae. I also had one of the kraut dogs, the salt was overwhelming. Beware if your watching your salt intake.

The fries are usually good, the burgers seem to be from small frozen patties(local… maybe) though the bun and produce seemed fine, the dogs are assembled and microwaved to within an inch of their lives. Overall acceptable but nothing to write home about.

…good fries! good chili! decent value burger that is better than the competition, the problem around here is there is not enough places to go, the kids working there take care of business and are friendly, the decoration is lacking but as far as I’m concerned they just need to add some more classic items and some more value items and they will be great, I love it because it is close and the food is real, the hot dogs are way better than the ‘schnitz, much bigger and more filling, check it out!

This place has potential, the chili cheese fries are good, but the burger patties were pre formed patties that were dry and without flavor when cooked. If the owners used ground beef that were cooked & pressed when ordered, you know fresh home made patties, I would probably eat there more often.

Been there three times in the last few weeks, which is three times more than the last five YEARS when it was Weinerschnitzel. We LOVE the fries, my wife who HATES American cheese-like product is pleased to be able to have alternatives, the onion rings are pretty good too. Sometimes the wait at the drive thru is longer than a typical fast food joint, but IMO it’s a fair trade for superior food, quality, and good service. We always wait much longer at Killer Burger on 164th, but find the quality reasonably close. My one dislike, and it’s a large one, is the hand written menu boards. I’m a tad OCD for sure, so the fact the writing isn’t straight and level is bad enough, but the«font» or this person’s handwriting just doesn’t play well with expedient reading of a menu. To be fair, mine would be worse, but then again I avoid making signs for that very reason. The property and building could use some sprucing up. Since this is winter/rain season, I’ll give them a pass on that until spring. So far our worst customer service experience was still better than 97% of the fast food joints. Not five star formal dinner restaurant service, but pretty good for what it is. I haven’t done a penny for penny comparison, but my general feeling is this is less expensive but a little better quality than Burgerville. I’d be just as happy here as Five Guys(don’t get me started on peanut shells on the floor at Five Guys). At the end of the day, even though there are similar or superior choices for burgers, my wife’s ability to get cheddar cheese on her burger and the fries will keep us coming back. For the record, this is one of the two places in town we can get a meal for our tween and he’s full when done! If they get nice signage I’m more than willing to up my four star rating to five! Sure there are other things they can and should improve, but compared to your typical fast food joint, these guys are pretty good. And if you want to compare restaurants in need of maintenance, take a look at some of the restaurants south of the rebuilt McDonald’s on Highway 99. This place isn’t close to the same category of need. Sorry if I sound like an advertisement or something of the sort. I’m just trying to share honest opinions of what I feel is a place worth supporting. Lord knows we have enough generic chain joints around that are, for all intents and purposes, equally wretched. It’s nice to see someone jump off that wagon and go it on their own with improved products to boot.

Fast and the burger and fries here are okay, not that great. But, I’ll give this place another try another day!

Their fries are seriously AMAZING! They advertise fresh, local ingredients and, while I have no proof this is true, it sure tastes like it. A special compliment to Ryan H. who is always pleasant, accurate and helpful. Prices are a little higher than a chain fast-food place, but the portions are generous and the food is just better. You should go.

I missed my chance of trying one of these places while in vegas so when one opened up here in vancouver, I had to bookmark and try it. Let’s just say it was dissatisfying. My bacon burger had no flavor at all. Couldn’t taste the cheese, the hamburger or bacon, just the overpowering mustard that they splattered on the burger. The bun was also dry. Chili bacon cheese fries were okay but the chili tasted really salty which left me dying of thirst along with my dry bun. We got a milk shake as well, the chocolate flake and it was not even cold. Don’t ask me how that’s possible. It was also way too sweet with way too many chocolate flakes. I was literally drinking more chocolate flakes than actual ice cream. I’m not even sure if this was real ice cream. $ 19.20 for 2 bacon burgers, a chili cheese fry and a shake. Too damn expensive for the quality you recieve. I wished I would have saved my money and gotten a costco polish dog instead.

Aesthetics aren’t everything — not something you hear out of my mouth often. This place is a little odd. It’s run-down but the kitchen and staff are clean. The food can be good but it’s not brilliant and the quality calls for a larger pricepoint than the former establishment but not on everything. I wanted to try a few things figuring I’d just have leftovers later and so I got a chili cheese dog, small fries and a hamburger. Good to bad. The french fries were tremendous; piping hot with a taste and crunch that was like breading but if there was breading it was so little as to be unnoticeable. I’d go just for the fries. The chili cheese dog was a much better quality hot dog than Der Weinerschnitzel and there was real cheddar cheese on top but the chili tasted exactly like Der Weinershnitzel. If these guys are independent and this is supposed to be homemade — how and why would they do this? It’s actually good chili for a hot dog but it’s…unexpected and inexplicable It’s just plain odd. The hamburger… well, let me give you a comparison. For about 15.00 you can go across the street to Costco and buy a box of frozen, individually wrapped cheeseburgers that are good for when you don’t feel like cooking or leaving the house to get a real cheeseburger or pay for a real cheeseburger. This is what that hamburger tasted like. Sure, it had lettuce and tomatoes but it was way too expensive for a cheap hamburger. Save your breath and grab a box of the frozen at Costco. So, the run-down and how it relates to cleanliness. The big things — employees and line were clean and the restaurant tables and floors were clean. The little things that you notice if you’ve ever worked in restaurants and had to do the actual detailed cleaning — not so much. The windows were all in dire need of a washing — especially the glass on the entry door. There were cobwebs in the corners, the bathrooms were clean at a glance but don’t look too close — get in and get out. Better than some, not as good as others, not as bad as a one of those outdoor bathrooms or a dingy gas station bathroom where you walk in and walk out because you realize you can wait. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place used to be a Weinerschnitzel and is now independently owned. If you liked Weinerschnitzel and their hot dogs you will love the new ones here. The chili is practically identical to what it was before but the quality of the hot dogs are MUCH better now. Extremely friendly staff every time we visit as well! My kids and I go there almost every weekend and if you are into supporting local establishments like I do then give them a shot. They have some cosmetic work to complete but don’t let the outside fool you from the really great food they have to offer.

The orange cream milkshake was just incredible. The bacon burger was full of fresh and tasty ingredients. And the fries were hot and crispy. Was on my way to Wendy’s when I spotted this gem. I am overjoyed we skipped the chain and supported a small business. Good burgers and great service.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Wanted a hotdog and found the old place(Weinerschnitzel closed and this in it’s place). Decided to get a bacon dog with cheese and onions, and an order of fries to share… hubby got a burger. Everything was SOOOOOYUMMY! The bacon was crisp and delicious, the hotdog was excellent, and had REAL cheese — not that runny squeeze stuff some places use! Hubbies burger was delish and hot. The fries were the best I have had at ANY fast food place. Not sure how they season or dip them, but they were excellent, an worth the trip just to have them. Everything was served HOT and fresh via the drive-thru window. We will definitely be back — soon!

Sadly this is as close to aWiener Schnitzel as your going to get around here. The chili is very similar to Wiener schnitzel’s, but using different hot dogs(Nathan’s) and different hamburger patties(«local»), it’s just a bit off from delicious chili dogs and burgers we grew up with in CA. The hot dogs and burgers are a bit bigger than they used to be, but not big enough to justify the hike in prices. According to one of the employees I talked to, they dropped the Wiener schnitzel franchise because it was too costly. I can understand that, but why then should the price be raised that much? So in the end I payed more for something similar to what I really wanted. Also I hope it was a temporary thing until they get logo’d packaging, but everything was in styrofoam packaging which resulted in soggy fries.

Found out the old Weinerschnitzel closed and this new place opened up overnight. According to the man behind the counter the owner went rogue and gave up the franchise. Apperance The place was still in transition, all the branded items were removed and most of the walls just had outlines where artwork and signs used to be. The menu was hand written in maker above the register, but given it is still in transistion can’t hold this against them. The place was still clean and well kept. Service The guy behind the counter was very friendly. He did a good job explaining the new menu ans answering questions. The food was out quickly and even brought to the table. Not something you see often with fast food. Food The food was the most disappointing part. The burger may have been local but it was thin and low quality and tasted frozen to me. I got bacon on my burger and got some weird bacon disc that was as far from fresh and natural as you can get. The bun was huge and seemed to be good quality but the meat to bun ration with that tiny beef patty was way out of whack. I also got chili fries and a chocolate milk shake and none of it was worth the calories or the money. Honestly Wendys or Jack in the Box is better tasting and way cheaper. If you want a great burger in Vancouver hit up Krave or Killer Burger. This is just overpriced fast food.

So on the road and tried this place. Was not sure if they were open or not until saw a flashing sign showing«Drive thru Open». Lobby was closed for remodeling since this place was a wiener schnitzel. drive thru menu board was hand written all crooked and looks very kiddish. Ordered a coleslaw chicken– was made with frozen breaded deep fried patty Not grilled which is what I expected for the price and having Coleslaw, pickles and sauce(BBQ themed). Bread was really good tasting but does NOT go with frozen deep fried chicken. Jalapeños pooper– good product and was Hot! Fries– were okay. service– Poor! Unfriendly male cashier on Drive thru. NO smile, please or thank you. Overall– very expensive I paid 12 $ and some change. food was okay nothing to rave about and service was poor. Would I try then again if I am in the area; I doubt.

This used to be Weinersntzal. This new place does the local beef thing. They have big burgers, Nathan’s brand hot dogs, and soft serve ice cream. I got the single burger and large fry. I didn’t realize how big the large was. I will order it again only if I’m sharing it with a least two other people… Everything was pretty tasty. One thing is I don’t like how the default includes cheese on the burger. They don’t have any descriptions up yet on what’s included on the burger. I’m one of those folks that doesn’t like cheese on burgers especially American cheese. I ate it anyway.

Just traveling through and had to give it a try. Wow the food was made to order. Hot, local good produce. If we ever travel through again, will stop through. Erin, was the best and was a total gem to help my family out. Just amazing representation of Oregon people and the owners choosing good employee to represent the face of their business. All four of my kids loved everything and there was nothing left!!!

Finally a fantastic local burger joint in Vancouver. The chili cheese fries were spot on with great homemade chili, crisp fires, and the right amount of cheese. The burger was done absolutely right. The double was so big the container wouldn’t close. Just the right of toppings and the meat was very flavorful and jucy. I know where I’m going after my trip to Costco from now on.
