I come here on my lunches sometimes. The food is very quick and the gal who runs the place is very friendly. I’ve had the General Tso’s chicken a few times and the mandarin beef a few times. Both are super good, the sauce is tasty. The egg drop soup is also great, not too salty. I also like that they have brown rice. And it’s very reasonably priced! Servings are pretty big. I always end up talking half of the lunch order togo.

Pot stickers is basically from Ranch 99 and Costco. Dishes are okay, but nothing to rave about. Service is so slow that it might be faster for you to drive to Seattle and get dinner and come back. Lady is nice, but the fact that this place still exists shows the desperation of this area for any type of Chinese food. Honestly, we should’ve just gone to Panda Express.

Bottom Line: OK Chinese food but not great from a family run business catering to westernized palates. Service is OK too. Maybe one of the better Chinese options north of PDX if authenticity is not a priority. It’s hard to find really good Chinese food north of San Francisco and the closure of the Taste of Sichuan in the couv didn’t help at all. We have eaten here several times at TW and it has been OK but not great. It seems to cater more towards Americanized flavors and cooking styles. It’s one of those places I really wanted to like but not quite there yet. The lady who works there is very nice and gracious. I am going to continue to try other menu items but will have to head over the Columbia to Portlandia when I need something more authentic.

BESTGENERALTSO’S CHICKEN. Whenever I visit my home town, this is the place that always come to my mind. The chicken is crunchy(it doesn’t get soggy from the sauce) the inside isn’t dry, and its relatively spicy(I would prefer a bit more but its still good). There are great dishes like their coconut shrimp and others too, but I could not go there without getting their chicken. The staff is also really great.

Very good Chinese food from these NYC ex-pats! The Kung Pao chicken was excellent and the spring rolls were crispy and light. The service was very good and very friendly. I’ll be a regular here for sure! Tang’s is not closed! Unilocal is incorrect in its reporting of this!

Delicious! I’m so glad to have found a good Chinese food place, they are hard to come by these days. Best one in the area in my opinion and surprisingly inexpensive!

Decent Chinese food, not great but, I’ll go back. I went expecting great crab puffs as several other reviewers had noted. What I got was fried wonton with very very little filling. I’ll assume it was not the norm. The green onion pancake was yummy & the pot stickers were delicious. I ordered a combination thinking I was getting a little fried rice, some cashew chicken &4 crab puffs. There was no fried rice when I got home. Not sure if I am mis-reading the menu or it was another oversight. The prices certainly are reasonable and the woman who handles the front of house operations was certainly very sweet. It’s mostly good for take out.

I am puzzled at the 4.5 stars. Really? There’s corn in the fried rice, I got the chow fun based on another picture on here and it looked nothing like it. There were huge noodle things that were cut throughout it, I seriously have never seen them before. The crab puffs are sweet. Like as sweet as a baked good. We Also got the Honan chicken. I’m pretty sure it was a Normandy blend vegetable covered in sauce with chicken. I would never return. And I highly, highly advise that you turn around and not go. The fact that it was empty at noon should have been the biggest clue to leave. I will say that the lady working was a sweet heart. I have nothing bad to say about the service. She was very kind.

This place is fantastic. I have had several meals here. The sweet and sour pork are delicious as is everything I’ve tried on the menu. The friendly shop keeper is like the Asian grandma I never had. No headache like I often get from Chinese food and the price is very good as well. You can’t go wrong here.

Small, family-owned restaurant. My family and I love to come here for a tasty, home-style meal. I enjoy the noodle soups. The dishes are made to order(no steam table). My mom enjoys the stir-fried noodles and my son loves most everything! My favorites are the chow fun, pork & preserved radish noodle soup, while my son loves the fried rice & scallion pancakes. Mmmmm… Will definitely be back!

Tang’s Wok has been my go-to Chinese take out for several years. Their dishes are flavorful, and service is always amazing! Their General Tso is so crispy and yummy, love their crispy chicken wings, and sweet and sour soup! Don’t let the small, strip mall location fool you, food is definitely legit!

This my go-to take-out place. It is such a shame that they are closed on Mondays,(since that seems to be the day I most frequently want to order out my meals) but all is forgiven when you meet the friendly little couple behind Tang’s Wok. It is only a husband and his wife. He cooks. She serves. I suppose they deserve to take Mondays off! Every time my family eats here, we order the Family Dinner for 4. We are a family of 3, and it is so funny, because they try to tell us that its too much food for us.(We may look small, but they don’t know how we eat!) We always have leftovers for the next day. Their crab puffs are delicious! So small and not as greasy as some American Chinese restaurants. The General Tso’s chicken is always so crisp and flavorful, never soggy. I don’t feel crappy after eating it. And their fried rice? Oh my goodness! So colorful and delicious! We also order the Sweet and Sour Chicken, since it isn’t spicy and my daughter can eat it. Then we try something new — last time it was their pot stickers. I wasn’t a big fan, because it felt like another appetizer. I would have rather have tried another entrée. Maybe next time, we will do the Kung Pao! I would love to try some from their secret chinese menu, but I can never seem to escape my craving for everything else. Ahh, guess I’ll just have to keep coming back! ;)

Ok so it’s in a strip mall and may not have the most exciting ambiance but THEFOOD! We are totally addicted to Tang’s pot stickers. And they are so sweet and always remember us. Kids love the sweet and sour chicken. Haven’t had any food that wasn’t great! Bottom line: take out Chinese food doesn’t get better than this.

Me and my husband always eat here. It looks run down from the outside, but ora decent on the inside. A mom-n-pop type restaurant. We always order to go, the sweet lady always recognizes our order over the phone. The food is tasty, especially love the chef specials they offer

I had Sweet & Sour chicken. It was ok. Some chicken was difficult to cut into with a fork. No refills on soda. Hard to read the ticket so had to hope I was billed correctly. But it was close to home & they were fast

The food is excellent and freshly made. The atmosphere is quaint and low key with a simple style but the food and service are excellent. Very nice people who own and run it.

Super friendly family owned American style Chinese food. My kids loved the Egg Flower soup and the Egg Rolls!!! Lunches were really tasty! We had Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, Chicken with Black Bean sauce and General Tso’s Chicken(The General Tso’s was one of the best i have ever had.)… All the entrée’s came with rice and they served us some won ton chips too. all of them were way above average and very fairly priced. 17.50 for three people to eat a lunch is a great help to the wallet. We are already thinking about getting it again, for takeout next week, on my way back home to work Monday or Tuesday. Definitely go check it out.

A passerby who happens to glance at Tang’s Wok might just deem it to be another run-of-the-mill, generic American-Chinese food restaurant and keep on walking. However, should the the passerby happen to give this small, warm establishment a chance, they would find their initial thoughts to be… off the mark. Tang’s Wok certainly serves their variation on the dishes that are typically found at American-Chinese restaurants such as: General Tso’s Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp(all extremely delicious by the way). Many primarily miss out on the full«TW» experience due to the fact that they do not order off the«Asian» menu, which has offerings of delicious authentic Chinese & Taiwanese dishes. It is difficult to pin one particular dish as my favorite, as each one I’ve had were all amazingly tasty. It is difficult to find authentic Taiwanese fare in the Vancouver area, which is why I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they served it(much to my stomach’s delight). The owners are an older couple that are exceptionally kind and warm people. The wife is the hostess, while the husband is the only chef. Takes a lot of work to run a restaurant with just two individuals. Another incentive worth mentioning, their prices are very, very fair, much lower than one would suspect.(This also applies to the«Asian» menu). Don’t miss out on this hole-in-the-wall people, you won’t regret it.
