The Pointe Apartments

They don’t pay their bills. We did work for them, they were very aggressive in asking us to do work for them. We should of known. 6 months later they don’t even call us back.

This is the worlds worst place to live.
They find the most ridiculous reasons to evict. From having an extra garbage bag outside to towing your car for parking in the wrong spot.
Glass and rocks all over the childrens play area.
Dog poop EVERYWHERE. I’m not joking.
Walls are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING.
Did I mention they evict for the dumbest reasons?
Yeah, they do that. Because they are currently «rennovating» and «Fixing» their tarnished image, they are now throwing «undesirables» out. People who don’t fit their supposed image. Jacking up the rent to impossible to afford if you actually work for a living and aren’t born with a silver spoon in your mouth. They are clearly trying to force people out so they can move in people who can pay 2K for a 1 bedroom apartment.
Avoid this place. They’re illegal business practices continue even after several residents went to lawyers.
DO NOT RENT.

This place deserves a negative 5. I have never written a review before, but for this cheap place, I felt is was very necessary to write one. Trust me, you DO NOT want to live here. Since Greystar came in action partnering with Riverside, services have been horrible. There’s a couple of great staff member, and THAT, I even pat myself on the back for, will give credit to, but the rest is HORRIBLE. First off, let me start by saying PARKING SUCKS, you have to constantly fight for one. Garbage and recycling is just out of place, trash everywhere. Within the year and half of living there, management sent me TWO 10 day notice eviction letters when they lost our rent check and blamed it on us — Like, who does that? Apparently them, and that is so irresponsible. Worst part was they weren’t even apologetic about it, I thought it was all about customer service and satisfaction? WRONG. And trust me, I would admit it if I knew I was in the wrong. Rent was a drastic change, and there were no updates on the apartment itself. When we initially moved in, there were rusts everywhere, our screen door kept falling apart, our refrigerator was so cheap, it came apart. A little over a year and half later, we moved out. We expected a security deposit back, paid our last bill, they told us everything was good to go. A month later, we received a $ 445 bill for damaged items that were ridiculously overcharged and threatened they had sent us to collections. Seriously? The apartment items were so outdated, it was going to fall apart to begin with. I requested for a date of installation on one item, but they stated «unfortunately, they do not have to provide that information» but just know that it was replaced, which is completely BS. Rip-​off! Then they decided they wanted to negotiate it to a lower price and if we pay in full we will get deleted off the credit collections, LOL. I will never give referrals to this place, I will never recommend this place, and I most certainly am HAPPY I am done and out of this trashed apartment. Do yourself a favor, save yourself from headaches and money. And if you plan to live here, (GOODLUCK) document all walk-​ins damage and request for inspection walk-​out.

Run away from this apartments, there is every little thing they are always coming up with, on top of that our apartment had mold all over and they blamed us for it several times and since all of our furniture got damaged because of that, they came to open the walls on our room and even the maintanance guy was amazed that it was so much mold there! And then the manager agreed to fix it and told us that they were not responsible for it!!! Are u freaking kidding! Our furniture wasn’t like that before we got here! I freaking hate living here and im so happy our lease is almost done, would never recomend this apartments to anyone! Oh and there is no freaking dumpster so if you have a freaking box u have to shred it to make it fit in a small bag! If it dosnt fit in it they wont take it and and then later on they would send you a ticket!! for real!

This place does not even deserve a star. Since we moved in, it’s been nothing but issues. First off, we had an issue with our toilet not working when we moved in. They told us to call this 1 – 800 number blah blah to schedule for maintenance. Well, we did do that and no one ever came. I had to go to the office myself at least two times after already waiting a couple of days and no one came. The first time they told me to call that maintenance number again and follow up with them. I did and again they put in another work order. And again no one came. The second time I went to the office, I told them it’s still not fixed and low and behold! There sitting at the desk was the maintenance guy and he told me he will be right over to fix it. That’s all it took! And I had to do all this run around for something that took literally less then five minutes to fix. It took over a week for someone to do anything. Good luck finding parking. It’s like a battle every time to find descent parking here. The worst I’ve ever experienced in any apartment I’ve lived at. If you do want your own parking, you have to pay $ 30 every month on top of an already steep rent. I honestly feel this place is just gunning for whatever money they can make. Valet trash charging a whopping $ 15 on top of the rent too, it’s rediculous! You have no options to opt out of this, it is in your rental agreement that you have to pay for it. Water and sewer as well is not included in the rent. The mold issue that someone also mentioned is still an ongoing issue: they won’t do anything about it, you are the one that is to take care of it. Even though clearly the windows do need to be changed or sealed better. Better get yourselves lamps because there is no living room light what so ever. Biggest issue I just realized was that this place stated its a year lease but come to find out, they can do it for 13 months! I was wrong not to notice what I signed into due to really just needing a place badly and did not notice that my lease I «supposedly» agreed to was a 13 month lease. Even after telling the lady at the office that I was told it was a one year lease. Her attitude was like «oh well it states here you signed it for 13 months» no understanding and no care attitude comes out of the staff at the office. There was only ONE person that works there out of the times I’ve been to this office that shows she understands and cares for the tenants. I cannot recall her name but I bet you would know because she is the only one. Lol. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. My bigger regret is living here at the Point Apartments. Counting down my days till I can move from this dreadful place.

Worst apartment complex i’ve ever lived in!!! Horrible! they don’t care about their renters at all! Paid for a parking sport the whole time i lived there and 3 days out of 7 a week someone else was parked in it! they did nothing to help me and one lady in the office told me, that maybe i need to come home earlier! i work 8 – 4! than after i moved out the Manager did a walk through with me and signed off on my check out and still tried to send me a bill for cleaning! i told her to send me to collections and i’ll take her to court! after that they dropped all the fees and charges! i also documented and took pictured everytime someone parked in my spot! worst place in Vancouver to live!!! Horrible Horrible people!!!

I wish you could do negative stars for the management staff. Awful awful awful. I’ve lived many places… Apartment itself is ok but management I horrible. Roomy space but you are in the middle of no where… They are the least helpful friendly office staff I’ve ever encountered.
