We just ate breakfast at Bob Evans this morning. Unfortunately for our party of five it took 45 minutes to receive our drink order of five black coffees. We were ready get up and walk out when the drinks arrived. Thirty minutes after putting in our order we finally received our meals. Two people had french toast which was cold and the other three each had toast which was also cold. Since we had been there over an hour we just ate rather than risk waiting another 30 minutes for warm food. After nearly two hours from being seated we finally received our bill. Although the food was okay I can safely say we will not be back to this Bob Evans due to poor service. Unfortunately we had friends who were seated thirty minutes after our table and finished about an hour before we were done. This indicates they are capable of better service but we just failed to see it.

Ohio tradition, home cooked dream! I love so many things that Bob Evans has to offer. The wait staff could use a little help but the food is great. Clean establishment, great pies.

I never expect these places to be very good but I was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend ordered an open faced omelette with sausage gravy, and compared to southern mom and pop diners, this gravy was way better. Sausage gravy usually tastes bland to me, but this had great flavor. I got a basic breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs and home fries with a blueberry topped crêpe. It was all no-frills stuff, but perfectly cooked and really tasty. The crêpe was a bit cold but I still enjoyed it. The coffee was a bit weak, like most diner coffee, but when you leave they offer you extra for the road. That’s a nice touch that really puts them above and beyond places like Denny’s or Cracker Barrel. Despite it being a chain restaraunt the place really had a small town feel to it. The staff were very friendly and on their toes, and it was obvious that there were many regulars(judging from how many patrons greeted each other coming and going). Definitely a good deal the whole way around.

Good food and service, well kept place. The chefs left the piece of paper on my cheese still on it, but the manager was more than happy to pay for both of our dishes and we were satisfied. We returned again and was happy with everything

Chain restaurant, but by all means an Ohio tradition. Had the breakfast, it was awesome, but as a word of advice, the boburrito and biscuit bowls are not so amazing. Stick to the staples and you’ll be fine. The service was very awesome. For a Sunday morning, our server was super attentive. Both managers stopped by to make sure everything was okay. Coffee cup never dipped below halfway full. The breakfast here has a more down-home kind of feel when compared to Denny’s and IHOP. The main draw is the sausage. The hash browns are actually home fries, which are OKAY, but let’s be honest here, Hash Browns pretty much rule. Despite this, Bob Evans still has good breakfast. Be sure to try the sausage gravy. I don’t normally like white gravy, but their sausage gravy is awesome and biscuits are really fluffy. This place is about a five minute drive from(on the way to) the airport, so if you happen to be flying out of Dayton, I’d recommend eating here beforehand.(For Breakfast, anyway).
