Vassar Golf & Country Club

This is a true local golf course. What was most captivating to me was the field of cows across the street from the number 1 tee-​box. With a sign that says «For Sale — — Cow Parts» you can’t help but laugh as the thought truly sinks in to your mind that you are in the middle of nowhere. However, the course, while it’s been in better shape in its hayday, is not disappointing.
The back 9 is more desirable than the front. The only thing that did not sit well with our group was that there was no ranger on duty to patrol the course. I think this is due to a decrease in business. I hope they’re able to keep up the good work and provide decent golf at decent rates. This place will flourish once again.
