So the staff here is pretty nice! Tip well, the deserve it! Also the food is really good. The more you put on top, the better though. Some times at this location, the food can be a little dry and underwhelming but it’s still good nonetheless. If you came here looking for great tacos, I personally would recommend a taco truck. But if you’re here for the tater tot plates or the French fry plates, I would definitely recommend! But what gets me coming back here every time is the LYCHEELEMONADE. ITSSOGOOD. 100% worth it every time. I always eat at Komodo just so I can keep refilling the lemonade. I cannot stress enough how you MUST get this with your visit. If you don’t, you won’t have the full Komodo experience. OH also, there is soooo much seating so don’t be discouraged from using the full hour of parking! You can try street parking for more time, but the street parking situation is absolutely terrible around here(edge of Venice and Santa Monica).

Asian fusion tacos and burritos what is not to love. They have a lot of different tacos and we can get them as tacos, burritos or a rice bowl. I ordered the MP3 rice bowl — sirloin beef with tater totes and sunny side egg and rice yummy safe is nice place is super clean I plan to come back.

I had the Miso Steak plate with brown rice. The ingredients seemed high quality and the beef was tender. However, the Miso flavor was a bit overwhelming. I expected a more subtle marinade and I think it would be a much better dish if that were indeed the case. At $ 12, I think that the value is just average.

3rd time to Komodo. Food is always great and the people are very friendly. BUUUUUTTTTT… this time my wife(who has a pretty severe gluten allergy), got sick after eating items that were designated as being«GF». Not sure whether it was cross-contamination or if one or more of the items really wasn’t gluten free. I know people who have incredibly severe reactions to gluten(like hospital time). Advertising food as GF when it clearly is not, is a serious problem. Fortunately for my wife, this misleading advertising only resulted in stomach cramps, GI «issues», nausea, headaches and hives that will last for 2 – 3 days. It will also preclude her from exercising for the next 3 – 5 days(as that creates incredible skin rashes and intolerable itching) which is unfortunate as we’re on our way to Hawaii for a vacation.

I originally came in looking for the Ramen Burrito but was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have that anymore(or at the time I went in). The guy behind the counter suggested a Phở burrito and i was like«Hells Yeah» thats like the next best thing… lol The Phoritto was really good! I grabbed a bottle of Sriracha and I will be damned if it didn’t taste like a good phở bowl, but in a burrito! I washed this down with a Lychee Lemonade that was really good and refreshing. Best part, the drinks are bottomless. I also had my young niece & nephew with me and was worried cause they are picky eaters and honestly, I didn’t get a feeling this was a place for kids to eat since there was no kids menu. They each ordered a steak plate and they loved it. They were both raving about it and check it, they even ate the salad that came with it… lol Hopefully next time Im in town they have the Ramen Burrito, that was my only disappointment and the real reason I drove so far to try it.

We tried the 4 taco killer combo for $ 10. We got the asian marinated chicken, SOI, moco, and the BMC. This is rated from my favorite to least favorite: 1. Asian marinated chicken — Probably the best thing out of the four we ordered. It had chicken, green onions, jalapeño fried rice, mandarin oranges, and a sweet soy glaze over it. 2. BMC — Basically a banh-mi taco. Yums! 3. SOI — Mongolian stir fry with a buncha vegetables on top. I probably only liked this for the baby corn. 4. Moco — I don’t like loco mocos at all. I got this mostly for the cute sunny side up quail egg. but the whole thing overall was meh. Loco mocos just taste like hamburgers and there’s nothing special about the flavor. We did, however, order their lychee lemonade which was really good! If you’re into Asian fusion tacos, try this. It was decent, but there’s nothing here that would get me to come back honestly. The tacos look better than they taste.

I like this location better than the other one on Pico. It is so much bigger and nicer! You can either park infront with the meters or in the back in the garage. Parking in the garage is free if validated within an hour. I tried the BMC and the fish & grapes and they are so yummy. The BMC actually taste similar to a real banh mi. The fish & grapes actually is a good combination! The fish is very crispy. I love the Komodo and that has to be my favorite. The lychee lemonade & mango lemonade is very good! The drinks do not taste like lemonade, but regardless I like it. Free refills too! The service was good too!

What an awesome place! Visit soon, seriously. Everything we had were delicious! We haven’t even finished eating and we’re already planning our next visit and what we’ll try next. I didn’t even have this place bookmarked yet and Unilocal just suggested it. Great Asian fusion spot and most of the items on the menu are gluten free and dairy free! I’m in love already!!! Ambiance is perfect. The whole flow is great. You order first then seat yourself. The food will be delivered to your table. We highly suggest doing the killer combo which is a mix and match of 4 tacos. Try all different ones if it’s your first time. You have an option of upgrading to a burrito or a bowl if you’re not feeling tacos, which I did. Start off with MP3 and fish n’ grapes!!! But any choice you make, I’m sure it’ll be excellent! We had the best experience for a first time. I can’t stress it enough. They do have beers but I stuck to the mango lemonade which is free refills! You’re more than welcome to mix the drinks too. There’s strawberry and lychee lemonade avail as well. Pictures don’t really do justice. Just visit for yourself. Parking are meters. It accepts cards.

My guy friend is a huge fan of this place partly cause it’s Indonesian and he is Indonesian and they make bomb food. Recently tasted their seasonal speciality called the phoritto. He’s been persistently trying to get me to come here and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. It’s a seasonal thing and it ends next week or something but you need to try it. It’s a novel idea. I love phở and eating it in its glorious burrito form was like experiencing some kind of religious transformation. Their MP3 and loco modo tacos are also good and the mi go reng burrito is a thumbs up. Lychee drinks and their other juice drinks are good

I was going to give 4 stars, but to heck with it. They deserve 5 stars! First off, 4 tacos — specialty tacos that is! — for only $ 10? Yes, please! Second off, unlimited refills of some really good lychee lemonade? Dream come true! The phorrito and great service are two other reasons for my positive review. The phorrito is $ 10, which is way more than what you should be paying for phở, but it is so good in a confusing yet really good way. It smells and taste exactly like phở, which makes you think there should be soup, but of course, there isn’t. I personally really enjoyed it, and they gave amples of amount of meat! It’s def something to try. I guess the only thing I didn’t like but wasn’t a big deal was that the hoisin and sriracha were only at the ends of the burrito. Other than that, yum! Great service too; someone was constantly around the dining area(though it was probably cause I went near closing time). I can’t deny it; they deserve 5 stars :)

The taco combo really is the way to go here, 4 tacos for $ 10, come with a few friends and you get to try them all which is what we did. Not being a huge fan of meat all the veggie options were my favorite, though each and every one was so unique they really all should be tasted. I really enjoyed their tater tots as well as their juices, strawberry was best. Service was very nice, food came out quickly and was presented nicely. Cool store, cool menu, worth a try!

This place is just awesome! They definitely get what the people want! Phoburrito? Ramen Burrito? interesting tacos, kim chi nachos, and more! A fast casual type of dining. Very cool décor of the trays on top. It’s a shout out to their truck that got them to where they are today. The service is on point. I will definitely make my way back here again Recommendation: Try their unique tacos, ramen burritos, and other specials

There is a parking lot in the back with one hour validation so that helps a ton. Komodo 2.0 in any form(tacos, burrito or bowl) is always a solid bet. Mochiko fried chicken is a great choice for someone in the mood for fried chicken with an Asian flair, salad and rice. Service is friendly and speedy. There is plenty of seating and this isn’t a place that requires you to wait a long time to be able to eat.

I’ve been craving Komodo for a while now and I came back to try their Indomie Burrito! And ofc, their beautifully creative and delicious tacos. Haven’t been here for at least half a year and they now serve alcohol. I had the *something* Fruit Cart drink. It’s a watermelon flavored drink with Soju? and tajin rim… i think… idr… It was alright though hahaha, definitely pass on that. Anyway, the Mi Goreng Burrito was soooo yummy. Regardless, in a burrito form or not Mi Goreng noodles are AMAZING and super yuummmmy. Truffle fries are always superb. The tacos are definitely mine and almost everyone’s go-to. We ordered the Komodo 2.0, Moco, BMC, and blazing shrimp. BMC and Komodo are definitely my two favorites, but don’t get me wrong they’re all VERY scrumptious.

Heard good things about this place, and then saw the reviews for the limited time offering of the Indomie Burrito, so figured this was as good a time as any to come here. There is a parking garage behind the restaurant which I assume is for all the other restaurants on the street as well. Was fortunate enough to find street parking(which is free after 6pm) right outside Komodo, so i’m not sure what the price was for the garage. The interior is very modern, wide open, and has plenty of seating. It’s counter service, so you just take a number after you order. Very friendly and attentive service. Great recommendations on what to order. As for the food, we got the Indomie Burrito, Killer Combo(4 tacos for $ 10), and the Truffle Fries. The burrito was good, definitely something worth trying at least once. Such an interesting combo(noodles inside a tortilla-ie carbs on carbs) with decent flavor. I think it was just a texture thing for me that I found a little weird. The tacos tho were excellent. Got the Komodo 2.0, Asian Marinated Chicken, Java, and MP3. All were solid! So much flavor packed into a little taco. The truffle parmesan fries were also good, with decent portion size for the price. Overall, great asian fusion spot in Venice. Will definitely come back to try some other things on the menu.

I ALWAYS get the MP3 and Loco Modo tacos. They’re both jam-packed with flavor and have egg oozing out – like wow, such beauty. Anyways, I’ve already made comments on their tacos for the Pico location, I just want to say that I had the Brutus Salad and Indomie burrito here. Brutus Salad: So delicious, but SO damn bad for you. Full of flavor and seriously their dressing is out of my world. Indomie Burrito: It’s a very«try-once» kind of thing. It literally just tastes like what you expect it to taste like, Indomie. I was attracted to this because of their instagram posting saying how they use a secret sauce to make the ramen… but honestly it’s probably just the Indomie sauce packet with just a little bit more seasoning. Anyways, it’s good, but I feel like I can make this myself for a much cheaper price. Also, DO eat this with Sriracha.

So you’re in the mood for some Mexican food but also want some Asian flavor… look no further, Komodo is here to serve you! Komodo is a great Asian fusion place and the combos are pretty much all you need to leave you satisfied. I got the killer combo which is 4 tacos for $ 10. It’s $ 3 for a taco so I’d highly recommend getting the combo. I got a signature, MP3, burgerrito, and an early bird. I’m a big fan of a sunny side up egg in my food… seems to be the trend everywhere nowadays. All of the tacos are delicious. I wish I didn’t get the signature because it’s so basic but I’ll probably substitute it for something else next time. My favorite was the MP3. Steak, eggs and tater tots? What a combo! Delicious! The salsa that is on the house is pretty spicy so beware! I’m not a big fan of their lemonade drinks. Not sweet enough for me. A water cup suffices. I’ve been here numerous times and don’t plan on stopping!

From what I heard this place Used to be a highly sought after food truck headed by mastermind Chef Erwin Tiahyadi, and I am now one of their disciples. Cute and trendy with plenty of seating. I love when you walk in that their menu is written on an entire wall so it’s easily visible for masses of people to see at once. Theme is Asia Fusion, choose from some prepared entrees or go for what I did: mix and match tacos(12 styles to choose from) for $ 10. Must highlight efficiency and friendliness of the staff. Did not wait long and the food was both pleasing to the eye as well delicious. Food was fresh, however I didn’t care for the corn tortilla, would rather have flour. Excited to hear their success led to opening of another location in LA on Pico. Parking was hard, no dedicated lot. Park on the street

Stumbled into this Asian fusion when making a quick stop by Venice Beach. Komodo used to be a food truck and did so well they now have this establishment! There are plenty of seating with free wifi and television to entertain you for hours. The restaurant was not packed so service was quick and attentive. You order at the front and they give you a number. When the food is ready, they will bring it to your table, so remember to tip after paying at the front! These guys work hard! I had the four tacos for $ 10 option. I don’t remember the names but two of them have fried egg on top and we’re all delicious! I also tried their lychee lemonade, which to my surprise was refillable! Only complaint I have is that the tortilla was cold, I would have preferred it warm like the rest of the taco. This place is definitely the place to try delicious taco fusions you don’t find elsewhere!

Was craving tacos near Venice after work. A simple Unilocal search quickly brought me here around 8pm on a Thursday night. It seemed like you could probably find street parking if you had to during this time, but there is underground parking for the lot. Also Komodo validates for 1 hour! However, that actually isn’t that much time. Ordering/getting the food took 25 minutes. I ended up finishing a taco and some fries before deciding to go since I didn’t want to fork up money for parking(also the parking structure is cash only.) First thing you notice upon walking in is how huge the menus are! All of them are laminated and take two hands to give a serious run through. They really want to make sure that you have your full attention on the menu when you are in line! Anyway, I had trouble deciding between the combos! The killer combo comes with 4 tacos, all of your choice. The deadly combo comes with 2 tacos, your choice of fries, and a drink. Both of which are just $ 10! I ended up with the deadly combo, and I think it is definitely the better choice if you want to get full. You get less variety on tacos, but the fries will definitely fill you up. And they also have truffle fries! If you are into that, which I really am. The earthy undertones of the truffle combined with their sweet ketchup sauce really draws out the flavor of the fries. For the tacos, I tried the Komodo 2.0 and the Asian marinated chicken, the first two listed on their menu. Yes, I have decision anxiety so I usually end up defaulting. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the Komodo: the corn goes great with the sirloin, and the jalapeño gives it such a kick. However, I wouldn’t recommend the Asian marinated chicken. It seemed like just a bunch of «asian» ingredients thrown together into a taco. Idea, great; execution, terrible. The rice and mandarin oranges fall off with the slightest touch too. Probably best to use a fork at that point. I definitely want to come back again at one point though to try more tacos. It’s almost like speed dating(coming from someone who has never gone speed dating): you just have to find the ones that suits you.
