The same thing just happened to me yesterday! I was fed lies and deceptions, was told I was going to get an email with an access link to a virtual tour of homes, but first I needed to sign up for $ 199.00. I never got the email, link or the call back I was promised. I cannot believe that this type of scam is so rampant, and why these people haven’t been shut down yet. They go under different names: «Anchor Homes Financial», «American Standards» and they probably will be shut down, but they will attempt the same scam under a different name. While I was on the phone with a guy who said his name was Karl Johnson, I wish I had the presence of mind to investigate them online before I agreed to pay their fee, which is what I did immediately after calling my credit card company to dispute the fraudulent charge. All of you who have been victimized; write to the CA Atty General, he must be getting tons of identical complaints and that will be easier to nab them and sanction them. This is an update to the 8÷29÷15 review for American Standard. I got the call from Karl the next day; and had him send me the link, since I already paid for it I wanted to see how much truth there was to these fabulous rentals for prices too good to be true. I opened the link while on the phone with him; and took the time to read the terms and conditions agreement — it was laughable how obvious this scam was; and I simply told him I wasn’t going to click on the«accept» tab, because it clearly stated that you had to get 5 rejections in form of written letter from the home owners in order to qualify for a refund. Which off course, no one would get, since the homes and owners were made up. Happily; I never clicked the button that would put 200 bux of mine in their pocket. So folks; don’t fall for it, read their terms and you’ll be well informed and keep your money. These are bad guys preying on people’s hopes and dreams. If it sounds too good to be true; it probably is. So be smart and do your research before clicking off your hard earned cash away. I was issued a full refund by my credit card within a few days.

In February 2013, I requested my money back. Today, July 10, I asked for my $ 200 back and once again I was declined due to lack of denial letters. Reviewers what can we do to get our hard earned money back and most of all put them Out of Business? Today, they appear to be going strong and stated that they have sent out refunds. Ya, right! Believe that??? I did not see the denial clause, but who responds to junk mail. It has to be something all of us can do together. If you choose not to do anything, at least do the math. Just do the math and see who is really profiting. nc

This is the biggest rip-off I’ve ever encountered. They didn’t keep their promises. All of their listings were false. Every time you were interested, you had to fill out a form. I tried to get my $ 200.00 back, and they screwed me. Too many rules, and no regulations. SCAM They should be PUTOUTOFBUSINESS! My next letter will go to the Better Business Bureau.

TOTALLYFRAUDULENT!!! This company is a total ripoff… they took $ 200.00 by lying about the facts. Totally fraudulent. If you are looking for a house to buy don’t touch them, don’t even be tempted to believe they are any good. When you call them back they treat you like crap, with a horrible attitude. Most of their listings are fraudulently deceptive. I had a REALTOR look at it, and he told me they were fraudulent. I hope they go down soon. The owners of the houses were mad that their address was in this website. Hope someone files a good lawsuit against them.
