Best thing about the meal was the fortune cookie. We tried Hong Kong Inn for the first time, ordered the orange chicken, bbq pork fried rice and egg rolls, everything was awful. It tasted like salty chicken and rice. We won’t be going back…

The food is very fresh, the shrimp lo mein the best I have had. I visited before the new owners, and was not impressed, seemed like they were on auto pilot. I complimented the new owner of three years, inquired about MSG, they don’t use it. The room is much more inviting, a wall separating the the bar from main room gone, nice stage, mix of tables and booths. They do Jazz shows, live music, a pleasant surprise on visit.

Just got a meal from this place. Delivered from . With the service charges and gratuity $ 82. Yeah, some of the worst Chinese food ever. Tasteless, texture was off, no sauce for the wantons or the mushu pork. It was a shame, we were really looking forward to an amazing meal.

Music was great! Del Franklin was playing, great! People were dancing and having a great time. Bartender was also waiter. 34 people, one guy bussing. Would have had more to drink and eat. Bartender was doing best he could…

Came in here for a late night bite to eat and found the restaurant had been turned into some cheap white trash comedy club. I’m white and I felt out of place. Good by. This was my one chance and you failed.

I went with a friend to check out the open mic there last night. We ordered some sweet and sour chicken and split it. The dish was pretty tasty and well-prepared, and not too greasy or doughy like at some Chinese places, and it was all good quality white meat as well. The beer was way too expensive, however — $ 9 for a 22 oz bottle of Sapporo? Most Asian places charge $ 6 or $ 7.

I’ve been here a few times in the past and don’t remember it sucking this much. Service was terrible and the food was worse. I don’t even want to spend much more time writing this review. Don’t go here unless it’s for a comedy night or something.

All of you 1 or 2 star reviewers must have gone when the old management owned it. My Husband and I went tonight because of a coupon and I honestly expected the worst. We were so pleasantly surprised! The service by Alex was awesome and the food was so fresh and delicious! We will be back!

Good unhealthy Chinese food, with a great owner named genie. It has fun live music — which is great for the weekend. It isn’t best quality — but it hits the spot when you want some greasy Chinese food and live music — can’t fo that in too many places!

What a weird little place. I went here solely for a comedy night. We were seated towards the back since we were not ordering food. They sat us at a large dining table with other people(which is fine), but our backs were to the stage. So of course we turned around… –1 for audience accommodation Our table mates said they had been there 20 minutes and had yet to receive their drink order. Once their drink order did eventually show up, the server disappeared quickly to never be seen again. They did not bother to see if anyone else wanted something, which is fine if you just told folks to get their own drinks at the bar when they came in. But you didn’t. –1 for customer service The place was packed and it was hot and stagnant in there. Just to be able to get a glass of water would have been nice. I live here so I understand the whole thing about not having A/C, but maybe spring a couple bucks for a fan or two for those kinds of days. That said, the sound was fine and our line of site to the stage was fine. The stage time seemed pretty well managed. Emcee, comic, emcee, comic, emcee, comic… right on through the show. Thanks for the laughs!

Bad service and watered down cocktails. Not worth your time or money. Can’t review their food because of the horrible slow service we all left to go eat somewhere else. Just a horrible experience overall.

First time here &EXTREMELY disappointed! Only 1 waitress/hostess helping our party of 9. Drinks were watered down. Took 45 mins to get our appetizers & they were awful. We cancelled our food orders & went to a different restaurant.

My husband and I came here for the Lunch Buffet, I used to come here all the time years ago but it was my husband’s first time. I was very surprised at how fresh the food was, uncommon for a buffet. The veggies were crisp and the meats were tender, the sauces were delicate and not overbearing. You could tell the chef put love into the food, I could see nothing that looked prepakaged, everything was hand sliced and perpared. Yummy! We will be back.

This review is solely intended for those currently dining at the Hong Kong inn, awaiting their food, curious about what is to come and thus perusing Unilocal: Congratulations. Really. You managed to get parking, walk past other superior restaurants, and place an order here. That last part took a while and now you are famished and wondering what happened to your server. You already drank all your water, and the few employees are dodging your eye contact and empty cups like pros. You make eye contact with fellow diners and think, «We are all in this together, brother». *the following contains SPOILERS for what will happen next*. Finally, your food arrives. The stuff doesn’t look like food but context clues(like it coming on a plate) give you a good idea. Too hungry to care, you take your first bite and think to yourself«I am going to Unilocal the $#!% out of this place.» For our viewers at home, this is a restaurant only in name, not function. There is so little effort placed in selecting and training service and cook positions that it is painfully obvious that this is in fact not a restaurant. It is a merely a building with people and ingredients inside. Negative 7 stars, plus 10 stars for the comedy shows here equals 3 stars total.

I picked up Ls7 the sweet and sour chicken lunch special. It was very tasty. The chicken was crunchy, the sauce was tangy and sweet and the rice and eggroll were really good and very fresh. Hayne the server was very sweet and friendly. Lunch only cost me $ 8.06 and was very filling. It was a big enough portion to share with two people. I would recommend this place for lunch to anyone who appreciates quality ingredients at a fair price(:

I will start with how great the food was, I got chicken and beef pad Thai also some calamari, it all tasted fresh and really good! Most of the bad reviews seen to be the customer service, I got my food to go but it was ready right when I got there and all the guys were really nice. I will have to dine in one day, I’m thinking April 32015 cause my favorite comedian will be there Joey coco, first off I thought this was a hotel lol and had no idea they did show and stuff here, sounds like I’ll be back for sure!

Enjoy live entertainment while munching on delicious & authentic Chinese food! we’ve tried several different items from their menu and are always extremely satisfied. As the waitress said, you can’t go wrong with anything you order!

Went for a drink, stayed for the evening. What’s going on here? White tattooed guys behind the bar, Polynesian music and dancers in a Chinese Restaurant, how can it be? The staff was super, entertainment fabulous, food was good. We will be back.

Service was pretty bad especially considering when we first entered it was empty. Our waiter wasn’t talkative and when we ask for his suggestions he really didn’t have any. I also thought it was pretty rude that he was on the phone when he came to our table when we had to flag him down. There was also a lady who was standing in the corner like she was a security guard didn’t look welcoming at all. The food wasn’t too bad we order the chef special, won ton soup, lo mien and orange chicken. A bit salty but pretty great. The orange chicken was crunchy and the avocado egg rolls were delicious. The drinks weren’t too bad really strong would recommend the lupa lupa if ya like rum. Overall I would come back only for takeout but not to sit and eat. Also when we left to pay the bill the lady who looked unwelcoming didn’t even thank us or gave us a nice farewell. She seemed pretty annoyed.
