I’m a big fan of donuts. It’s everything I love: sugar and carbs. I could almost call myself an expert. These are very good, not the best. I only say that because I tried a raspberry filled one and was unpleasantly surprised. And that’s OK! Maybe it’s just not for me! The only other reason for a missing star is that I felt like I went once and it was closed and it felt weird that it was closed… again that’s my personal feeling. It doesn’t reflect on the donut production of Russell’s. See you guys soon!

Great coffee, fresh doughnuts made from 3:30a daily, and the must try breakfast croissants & bagels that are melt in your mouth delicious.
Can get busy at times of course so parking and traffic can be tricky. TIP, park down one of the side streets and walk…

A very good donut shop; they’ll make you a donut with filling to order. The Cake donuts with peanuts are tasty as are their tiger tails, cinnamon rolls and glazed raised. I’ve not tried their muffins or croissants because I think they get those from somewhere else. But, all the donuts are top notch, people are very friendly and accommodating. Place usually has good traffic so I think this is one of those local gems on Ventura Avenue.

This place was awesome a few years ago when a nice husband/​wife team was running the place. They were very friendly to not just me but to all the customers it seemed. They have since sold the place and the place went from an superb Donut shop to just a regular mid-​lower tier joint. Still, the buildings got lots of history and character. The new guys aren’t as friendly and the place looks messier than in years past but it’s still the best donut place on the ave.
PS: yeah what’s with them not serving donut holes anymore??? I went at 10 the other day and they either don’t make them or they sold out.

This place is good because it opens at 3:30 in the morning!
Other than that, the baked goods are not the best, but they still taste sweet.
