I always try to support a local business, but I can’t get behind this one. We recently moved to the area and do takeout pizza once every week or two. The mixed reviews turned us off despite it being the closest pizza to our house. A month ago we finally said, «How bad can it be?» and our pie was good. Not spectacular, but a good tasting crust and fresh ingredients. We felt good enough to try them again and so we did a couple of weeks later. This time the dough was raw on the bottom and we had to finish baking it ourselves. I’ve been eating restaurant pizza for nearly 40 years and I can’t recall ever receiving an uncooked pie. It’s a deal breaker for me. I wouldn’t say that I’d never come back. But unfortunately we’ll be back to our previous pizza shopping for the forseeable future. Given that lack of consistency, we’d rather takeout from the New Haven Jiffy, buy frozen from Shaws, or even trek to Bristol or Middlebury than the Luigi’s that only a couple of miles from our house.

We stopped in here for some subs for take out. It’s your basic hole-in-the wall kind of pizza place. The menu is pretty standard but was also pleased to see your typical list of grinders available as well. We ordered two basic subs but ended up waiting a good 25 minutes while the two people working here chatted with other patrons, passed the job of working on our subs back and forth and just basically ignored the fact that we were actually waiting. No apologies or even recognition that they really dragged their feet with working on our order. The subs were nothing fabulous. Turkey isn’t bad but the bread was a bit stale and not at all fresh. The space is not all that comfy and one of the fans in the place was making an irritating clanging sound. Pretty sure we won’t be coming back here, even for pizza.

Decent grub. Definitely a place to go if you’re craving something fried or sloppy. The fries were actually very well done(although just a touch salty). Had the chicken parm ½ sandwich and it was good. Nice bread, well-fried juicy chicken cutlet, and good balance of cheese to sauce-to-chicken. You don’t need much more than a ½ sandwich unless you’re ridiculously hungry. Take out is probably the best idea.

The Pizza is quite good. The other rating is overly harsh. This isn’t a fancy place or anything, but it is solid.

Alright. So I live about 5 miles from this place and stop in first time ever for a slice. It was basically horrid. Could of been a slice of a frozen pie from Shaw’s. The cheese looked like it was set on the crust as a disc. It was ridiculously salty bad cheese taste. Pizza had a nondescript crust. The sauce what little there was I couldn’t discern any flavor. The people that worked there were friendly enough though and there hero’s might be alright. But I tend to doubt it considering how processed this pizza was. Blecchh!
