Leonard was professional and courteous. He made multiple attempts to serve my ex-​landlady at both her job (Northbrook Public Library) and her home and kept me posted on his progress. I know that he did indeed make these attempts because he was able to describe to me her sports car in the driveway of her home, which I had not told him about, and he talked about how icy and treacherous the path to the back door of her home is. All true!
We were not able to get my landlady served as she refused to answer her door (even when the lights were on and her car was in the driveway) or come forward and meet him at work, but he provided an affidavit that she was avoiding service, and he was kind enough to send this to me in the mail after I forgot to give him a fax number.
Now the courts have given me permission to serve her through both certified mail and regular mail. If she refuses to pick up the mail again so that she does not appear, a default judgment will be entered in my favor.
Cost of service was $ 50. Would use again.
