Lovely Nails

Not fancy, yet very clean, cozy, and pleasant, with a respectful and polite staff. Tina is a whiz at waxing — she is excellent.

It not a fancy place but Tina is great. I just had bikini waxing. Off course it’s painful but she knows her work. She is fast and does a very good job. I will go back for sure.

Not a fancy nail salon but more like a neighborhood nail place where you can just walk in and get nails done. Price is cheap for this area.
It is located on park street, off 123. Parking could be an issue cause not many parking available. Maybe you can park in the garage next to it? Need to confirm.
Overall, it was quick and convenient. The color selection is not that great but meets my need. I just got the basic manicure and the Korean lady thought I was Korean and was super nice to me. Since it is close to where I live, I may give it another try and see how other services are.

Came here May 2015. Had a good experience overall. Customer service gets a thumbs up. Can’t beat a mani-​pedi for $ 35. The some of the signs and such inside need replacement, but overall, not a bad bargain. There are some nicer places in the area, but this is a decent spot.

Best customer service! Tina (I think she’s the owner) is the only person I will allow to groom my eyebrows. I’ve gone to plenty of places before but I find myself going back to her. She is simply THE BEST. I always receive compliments about my eyebrows and she is the reason why. I have recommended friends to her, and they all have loved her and agree she is the best with eyebrows.
Not only eyebrows, but when she is giving me my mani and pedi, she genuinely cares for the health of my nails and is always giving caring tips of my nails. Not only that, but this place is CLEAN. This is also one reason why I keep going back to Lovely Nails. They keep their instruments clean and they always wash their instruments between customers. Knowing this, I can rely on great clean service.
The nail technicians are always accommodating and Tina will manage her schedule to fit you in when she can. My feet and eyebrows have never looked better after I have been going to Lovely Nails.
FYI: They use an LED light for shellac/​gel nails. Which is also a huge plus.

Poor customer service,
removing of shellac was painful for the first time, and nails were not shaped straight which looked really bad. will never go back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!
The building maybe a bit sketchy looking but its actually nice inside the nail salon. The workers may not speak English very well, but they still try and talk to you. And if you go there for long they actually try and get to know you personally.
I’ve been going to this place for about 5 years now. I always get my nails done from the same person. Her name is Tina, and actually the owner. I think her work is FANTASTIC! I don’t usually let anyone else do my nails but her. She does and WONDERFUL job.
I use to get acrylics done for about three years from her and she always does an amazing job. Now I just get my mani/​pedi and eyebrows done, but they look amazing after they are all done. I do TRY and go to other places since this place is kinda far from me (I live in Centreville), but I always tend to come back for this place and to Tina. I think it is totally worth the trip. I feel like no one can do my nails as well as Tina. I know that some colors can be hard to do, but Tina just makes it look like some EASY art.
I totally recommended this place to anyone!

I went to Lovely Nails in the middle of the day on a Tuesday thinking I would not have to wait. I was hardly acknowledged when I walked in the door, in fact one of the clients smiled at me before an employee even spoke to me. I was asked to pick out a color for my manicure but given no indication if someone would be right with me, etc.
While patiently waiting the man who works in the hair salon next door walked in and asked to use a nail clipper. He took it back to his store to do who knows what with and when he returned it, threw it back in the basket and then picked up a file and began filing his nails, GROSS!!!
After waiting for more than 10 minutes I got up and left. I found Luxxe Nails just down the street, they took me right away and the manicure was great!

so my regular nail place in mclean closed down and i happened to be in this area after my dentist appointment today. so i Unilocaled for a nail salon and found this diamond in the rough! at first i was a little sketched out since it’s up a dingy staircase and the salon itself seems pretty disheveled.
but in all honesty, this is the BEST mani/​pedi i’ve ever recv’d! there was two ladies there. the owner did my mani and sonia? did my pedi. both were meticulous and cleaned up my nail beds beautifully. and really it’s the paint job, dark navy blue, that i’m most thoroughly impressed with. no smudges on the skin. no bubbles or streaks. on my mani, she didn’t press right up against the cuticle and side skin so the shape of the dark paint was perfect.
wow, i’m so excited about my pretty nails i just had to Unilocal this asap.
$ 35 mani/​pedi can’t be beat.
i will definitely be back and i will definitely be telling all my friends to go there as well.

I tend to think I’m pretty picky when it comes to nail salons, but I think that in Lovely Nails I’ve found one that I’ll probably return to. I only got a pedicure, but it was done well.
My technician was a woman named Xue, who spoke very little English. She did, however, spend a lot of time making sure that my nails were shaped right, smoothing out my feet and making sure the polish was on well. She gave a good massage, with a decent amount of pressure and attention to my feet, though it was a little shorter than I’ve had at some places. In addition to the regular service, there was also a leg and foot exfoliation treatment and a partial paraffin wax on my heels all included in the reasonable price of $ 25.
The service was good, the nail salon was clean and bright with lots of windows. I was a walk-​in on a weekday and I was seen right away. I definitely think I’ll make this a regular stop for my pedicures as long as I live nearby.
