For the price you pay, you should get better quality or tasteful food. My opinion easily, is to go elsewhere. The service was exceptional which is why I give it two stars. The steak ordered medium rare with a red center, still was terribly dry. The lobster was overcooked making it dry and chewy. The sides are all just average. I believe this place is meant for old folks who perhaps are stuck on the Morton’s name rather than branching out to discover steak can actually have such a better taste and likely for a lot less.

I usually come here if I’m craving slider burgers or anything of the sort. Their happy hour is by the far one of the best in the area… decent food with decent prices on the food AND drinks. Also came here for the Restaurant week 3-course Prix-Fixe meal. Was absolutely delicious. A friend of mine ordered the new york strip steak which was just alright… and the baked potato didn’t come out that well the first time, so when we complained and got a new one, it tasted so much better. But I ordered the House Salad(a little too big on the portion side), Filet Mignon(delicious), and the Chocolate Mousse Cake(meh). My other friend ordered the same thing except the crème brûlée(another meh). But the best part was the filet, which was cooked perfectly along with the asparagus they provided on the side. The mashed potatoes were alright but it all seemed to work out. Also, I recommend getting their lemon soufflé, but you have to order it when you order your meal since it takes 30 mins, but that is the best dessert they have to offer. My rating. 4.2

Me and 2 other friends went on Friday the 13th for D.C. restaurant week. Food was great. Single Cut Filet ordered medium rare — came out perfect. Grilled on the outside and soft and tender in the inside. Server initially didnt seem too happy or come around much when he realized we came for the the restaurant week 3-course special. This was very apparent from his facial expression and body language. Once all the tables started clearing out, we saw a bit more of him. Probably won’t come again since they make u feel like second class citizens. I recommend this place for the food, but they should work on the service.

Definitely would have been 4 stars but… Service was good… We were seated immediately. Steaks and seafood were cooked to our liking… The onion bread is always hot, aromatic and delicious… Food quality was consistent with our experience at Morton’s… No complaints with our meal or the service… But for Tyson’s Corner, I expect this place to be immaculate. We walked in and the restaurant is at basement level, so you have to walk down a flight of stairs… The railings were dirty with millions of hand prints… and the carpet looks gross… Old and dirty… Come on! For the money we spend for an exceptional meal, you don’t want that first impression as your appetizer!!! Clean up… Take out that grimey carpet and lay down some hard wood or tile with a tasteful runner…

Went there for a Mother’s day dinner and I was not too impressed. Basement level location didn’t bother me, and neither did the noise level. They also had friendly and professional staff. What bothered me was how mediocre the steaks were. My mother’s medium Filet Mignon was more like medium well done. My medium-rare New York Strip was cooked to perfection, but it didn’t taste like anything. I ended up getting horseradish on the side to kick up the flavor. For a $ 55 steak, I expected a lot more. I did like all the choices for the sides, and enjoyed asparagus and mushrooms.

Happy Hour…5 stars for the specials(Took Clients, went with the boss) Lunch…4 stars(Taken clients, good value to impress) Dinner…2 stars(Been a few times, I’d go elsewhere) Overall 3 stars. If you’re going for the first time, don’t be afraid when you walk down stairs to enter the restaurant ;) Well lit and overall it’s OK. I think the best values are lunch and happy hour. If you’ve had a disappointing dinner here, try to come back for lunch or happy hour. You’ll like it much more!

Noise level was excessive, not due to acoustics but from the staff periodically cranking the volume of the music through the roof. Staff was inattentive and combative. They served us steaks that weren’t cooked the way we ordered them, then fought us over our interpretation of medium rare rather than just being helpful The banquet space in the back is furnished like a mortuary; sparse, cold, and disturbingly quiet in comparison to the sonic bombardment of the main area Steaks were OK, not great and not bad. Not what I expect out of Morton’s but over the past few years I wouldnt be completely out of line if I said the quality of their steak has gone down a bit. I was let down.

A great place to go when dining on an expense account! This is a great place to people watch — you have the 30-something year old sales guys trying to schmooze, the gold diggers trying to score, and old mafioso types surveying the scene. The cuts of steak are superb, although I wish they were seasoned more. For the steak lovers who have the philosophy that«the meat should speak for itself» then you will appreciate the quality and consistency you get at Morton’s. The Bacon Wrapped Sea Scallops appetizer is a standout. The side items are very traditional and unmemorable. Forgo the sides and go for dessert instead — the carrot cake is great and if you are a chocolate lover you should go fort their Hot Chocolate Cake(their version of a molten lava cake) — it is dense, rich, and a perfect way to end your meal.

Is it tacky to review a chain restaurant? Whatever… I don’t care. I love this place too much to just let it go. Cajun Ribeye is the best steak out there. I fully expect to get some angry messages from Morton’s haters out there… but there’s nothing like this steak at Ruths, Cap Grille, Flemings or anywhere else. The only negative thought I have about this place? Not really a negative… but it USED to be the perfect place to kick back, eat a steak and smoke a cigar. Due to new VA laws, this is no longer possible… but obviously not Morton’s fault. This is my favorite dinner place. For a treat, I’d take this over anywhere on any day.

Ate here for dinner during DC’s restaurant week and the food was phenomenal. I saw the regular priced menu and they have a great selection and I’d love to go back there to try other things on the menu. The service was great and the food was really top quality. I had a blue cheese salad, a cut of filet mignon and a chocolate mousse. The regular priced menu seems very pricey, but I’m sure you get what you pay for. The atmosphere is pretty fancy and I would say this is a great place to bring a date or for any special occasion.

Horrible experience here. WILLNEVERRETURN. I’ve been a fan of other Morton’s locations(DC, Reston) and the experience here was terribly disappointing. Four of us arrived on a Saturday night with 8:15pm reservations. They were extremely busy so we were asked to wait in the bar area for a few minutes. No problem. 8:30pm — didn’t get seated. 8:45pm — didn’t get seated. 9:00pm — didn’t get seated. 9:15pm Finally! We understand they were busy. It happens. But the food here was not worth an hour’s wait, especially since we had reservations! I think we were mostly disappointed in the inexperienced manager. She looked like a deer lost in headlights. She showed no control over the other angry patrons(and there were many that night) and no control over the disorganized staff.

The best thing about this Morton’s? Eating in the Bar now that it’s smoke free! Jess and Nadine the bartenders are fantastic, and their Bar Bites menu makes dining at Morton’s affordable. EVERYSINGLEITEM on the BB menu is fantastic, but you can’t leave without having the Prime Cheeseburgers. Dear goodness they are great. The key is to come during«Power Hours» when all the items are $ 5. What a DEAL! We’ve also recently had a large event in one of the dining rooms, and the service was impeccable. Everyone left happy. The special three course menu for $ 99.00 is a great introduction to Morton’s if you haven’t been there before, or want to try something new. You get a Caesar or Morton’s(my favorite) Salad, Two Single Cut Filets, then a choice of TWO: Broiled Sea Scallops, Shrimp Alexander(in a FANTASTIC buerre blanc), Crab Cake or Chicken Christopher. You also get a choice of Potato to share AND a Vegetable to share PLUS your choice of Molten Chocolate Cake, Key Lime Pie or Crème Brulee. This is SERIOUS business here people! Talk about a good deal! Maura the GM is a treat, and always bends over backward to make sure your dining experience is great.

Very good but certainly not the best steak I’ve ever had. I ordered the Cajun ribeye with mushrooms and lyonnaise potatoes with the steak naturally being the star of the class. Lyonnaise potatoes were mediocre at best.

Morton’s is a fancy restaurant. Once you get past that, the rest of it makes sense. The first time the Missus took me to Morton’s I was wearing a t-shirt and shorts. She said, «Oh you’ll be fine.» Let me tell you, when we were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant, I felt like I was on display for all the expensively dressed diners that encircled me. One particular older gentleman, in his finest three-piece suit glowered at me while fiddling with his massive gold pinky ring. I thought for sure he was going to have some of his thugs mess me up in the alley after dinner. But like I say, once you get past that, it all makes sense. The Missus loves Morton’s for it’s Sinatra-esque, Chicagoland, mafia feel. I like it because the Porterhouse Steak is big enough to choke a darn mule! That first visit was soon wiped away by our second visit, which just so happened to coincide with the night I proposed to the Missus. Everything I had planned for the evening worked like clockwork, thanks to the Morton’s staff. We arrived early(before they started seating) so we sat in the bar where the Missus partook of the Pomegranate Martini’s that dangerously tasted like kool-aid. As we sat I could see over her shoulder into the seating area and witnessed the staff fixing up our table with the flowers I had ordered ahead of time and had delivered straight to the restaurant. When we were seated, we had the best booth in the place decorated with the small bouquet I ordered. This time I was not in a t-shirt and shorts, but a fancy suit and she was in a knockout of a dress. The service was outstanding that night as was the food. We were there under the guise of her recent birthday so they treated us to nice desserts as well as keepsake photo’s of the evening. What happened after dinner? Well, that’s another story. But we recommend Morton’s. Just remember«fancy restaurant» and you won’t go wrong.

I used to come here for Happy Hour and can’t help but rave. A good place for working singles thanks to the friendly bartenders and good food. If you stick to the bars and avoid a steak, you can get out for under $ 20 bucks and be satisfied and slightly tipsy. I’ve not been back recently to this location though.

Don’t come here at happy hour if you can’t handle the noise. Afterworkers come in big, loud groups, and their voices bounce off of the green and brown walls and drill your earlobes, making conversation difficult at times… but as the ebb and flow of noise tends to go, it’s alright… The food is great, so that’s something you could do while you’re unable to converse: eat. The bar bites are delicious, the burgers are very well spiced so you don’t even need ketchup. It’s juicy delicious. And the smoked salmon was quite good, although i was offended that the bread was not the same as it was for the artichoke dip, which came with crispy garlic bread slicelettes while my smoked salmon came with thin bits of toast. The service was pretty bad. We couldn’t get their attention, but when we did they were so very nice that we just ended up feeling bad for how busy they were. They need to staff up.

I love anything beef, therefore I LOVESTEAKS and Morton’s is definitely the place to go to for the perfect, large cut of grade A steaks! The tuna tartar is delicious and is a little on the sushi side which makes it so amazing! I ordered the porterhouse steak and it was the size of my face. Usually I can finish any size of steaks given to me but for this one I had to get the rest of it to-go. I never order my steaks more cooked than medium-rare, and I was debating on if I should order medium-rare or rare. I chose medium-rare because believe these sort of restaurants would not over cook my meat and indeed they didn’t! My steak came out perfectly just like how I like my steaks; a little cooked on the outside and red on the inside! Beastly, I know, but I don’t know how some people have their steaks well-done. Anyway, it was just perfect and it melted in my mouth like butter. The seasoning was perfect; it did not empower the natural taste of the steak itself. It was a night in heaven and my mouth is drooling a river just thinking of that lovely thick piece of steak…

Morton’s Happy Hour Review: ‘Power Hour!’ Offering specially priced«Bar Bites» Monday — Friday from 4:30pm to 6:30pm and 9:30pm to 11pm for only $ 4 per plate. Morton’s Mini-Burger($ 4/plate with 3 mini burgers) These mini-burgers are the best thing that happened to my life!!! I can’t compare it with any other burgers I ever had. It just so juicy and mini and juicy. They are cooked just right(a little pink inside), and it’s very juicy as so as you start biting into it!!! Did I say this is JUICY!!! Yum Yum Yum. Next best thing is the raw oyster($ 1.50each) It is fresh and big. Morton’s won’t serve you anything except the best oyster! The drinks are always good, a little pricey but worth it with the good deal on the mini-burgers! Con — 1) This Morton’s is located inside the building where Gucci is on Leesburg. There’s no sign or anything on the outside. IMPOSSIBLE to find when you are driving around to look for it. 2) Smoking is still allowed in VA at the bar. Tips — 1) Make sure you tip your wonderful waiter using the«regular» price instead of the«happy hour» price.

This is how I get into trouble with my personal trainer: PC W: That was good dim sum. You know what? We should get Morton’s for happy hour tomorrow. Me: Oh man — I already blew my diet today with all we ate just now. Maybe if I don’t have dinner… PC W: They have the best miniburgers ever… Me: I’m in. The plan was to go and taste a miniburger, since I had made room for a few extra calories on Monday in my eating schedule. Ha! Yeah right. Somehow«one miniburger for a taste» turned into half a dozen miniburgers, two oysters, a couple blue cheese fries, and an open-faced steak sirloin sandwich. Uhhhhh. Where the hell did I budget in all THAT for my caloric intake for the day? Yeah. That list of food was in the order of worthiness. Clearly, the miniburgers were right on. Now, I love my Matchbox sliders, but these things were even better. Thicker, juicier, a little pink on the inside, and with just the right fixin’s. No drool-worthy onion straws, though. Darn. At one point, we had apparently ordered so many plates of them(three come in an order for $ 4.50) we ended up stressing out the cook in the back. Oops. Everything else was enjoyable, but ultimately not worth the cost. Great service, too. Not quite as hot or accented as Fogo de Chao, but our server, Steve, was friendly and made us laugh. He got us everything we needed and stopped by frequently to check on us. Plus, anyone that can tease me, pat me on the back, and not creep me out is a total winner. Minus one star for the completely failed attempt at ventilating the place for diners that don’t want to have their dishes a la secondhand-smoke.
