We placed a larger order for Thanksgiving company party, followed up to confirm, and then paid several days in advance. When the time comes for delivery, nobody in site and it takes quite a while to even reach anyone on the phone at noon on a Monday. Our Office Administrator eventually gets through and it probably takes 15 minutes on the phone for them to realize they totally missed our order. Would’ve thought that’s tough to do for an order of ~100 box lunches. They quote us a 1 hour delay, food gets here about 2.5 hours later and by that time pretty much everyone had either eaten already or was in meetings. Food was C+ at best, no real flavor to the ham and cold, firm, hamburger rolls. Would probably never order from this or another location again but hey mistakes do happen and will see what, if anything, they will do to compensate for this.

I have never ordered here before, thought it would be a good idea for this Easter. Called to be placed on hold. Then once I was tended to, I asked about their options for meals… the worst is I could feel the rep rolling her eyes at me, like I was bothering her. Then her phone rang so she immediately placed me on hold again. Once she got back to me I put 6 words in and I was placed on hold yet again. I hung up at this point. How sad. Never found out anything about this place… didn’t want to order at this point. I understand this is your busy time, but why do you have only one person answering the phones?!(I am a business owner myself, this is the time to overstaff… it’s not like Easter just sprung up on you, you knew it was coming).

A couple of months ago I was sitting at my desk daydreaming of my impending lotto win. In walks this kid, maybe 12 years old, asking if I want a sandwich. What sort of person turns down a sandwich? I thought maybe he was just some kid making sandwiches at home and selling them for a few bucks, in which case I would be the sort of person who turned down a free sandwich. But no, it was a boxed lunch from the local Honeybaked Ham Company. He left one for bosslady too, which was good because I didn’t want to give mine up and I didn’t want to listen to her complain about my free lunch. Getting her to not complain was maybe the best thing that kid was going to do all year, possibly in his whole life. It was delicious and I kept all the ordering info for the next meeting we had that would call for ordering lunches. The sandwich was great, the sides(beans and chips) were tasty, and the cookie was delicious. A few months later we were having a potluck at the office. One of the VPs ordered a ham for the occasion instead of cooking(smart call) and I was set free from my desk to go pick up the ham. There was a snafu: they can’t look up orders by name, only by order number. I called bosslady. She got on the phone with the guy behind the counter. The manager came out. They were both helpful and patient, they didn’t even give me a condescending tone for coming in without the order number. This was quite a feat because I’m sure they have to deal with this five times a day, and I’m sure it gets old as hell. Anyway they gave us a substitute ham and it was delicious. If you’re looking for boxed lunches or a good ham for a special occasion, go to this store. They also apparently can do whole dinners for 5 for under $ 40. I haven’t tried those, but given the quality of the boxed lunches I’m sure it’s a great spread.
