The food was good, price was average, and the Staff are friendly, nothing supper special about it. I would order again if I’m in this area. All in all a good experiance.

Ive been getting food here for many years and i consider this the best place to get take out Chinese in my area. The owner and his wife run pretty much every aspect of this restaurant and they are very polite and friendly people. The menu is extensive, and the prices are in the middle of the road. Food is always good and hot, I always get the chicken and broccoli, the steak and peppers or the sweet and sour chicken. These items are my go to meals that I get on the regular and are all awesome. If your in the area and want wonderful Chinese food, this is the place to go!

Stopped in here after an appointment and before coming to Philly for a Unilocal event. I was looking for something light to tide me over until dinner in the city. I was too late for the lunch specials, but was directed to the«Combination» section of the menu by the woman working the register. It was basically the same as the lunch menu, but swapped out the soup option for an egg roll. This alternative was a buck or so more than the price of lunch. Okay. Let’s do this. There aren’t many Chinese joints around these parts, and I was skeptical of the glowing reviews. I understood that what might be the best in the area, might not be so where there was any competition or more than one Chinese family lived. I went with my old faithful General Tso’s Chicken, because I knew that the basic chicken preparation was the same for all the breaded/fried dishes and only the sauce thrown on at the end of cooking was different. I figured the meat would be the freshest and had the best chance of not having been frozen to death. The Egg Roll was average and not worth the calories. The Pork Fried Rice was adequate with veggies and plenty of egg in the mix. The color gave away the fact that it was prepared with a food colored bullion from a can or powder much earlier in the day, rather than just in time. Still, the taste was pretty good. Finally, the General was coated and fried with a too thick flour mix, so that the ratio of carbs to protein was close to 1:1. The sauce was a thick brownish tawny red, and had more chili heat that I expected. Nice surprise. All in all, the meal was what I expected from the standardized Chinese/American cuisine. In some ways it was better given the locale of the shop. I left thinking that I would stop there again under similar circumstances, even though had I been in a place with more authentic dishes, I would have been much more satisfied.

Service inside is good and swift, but it’s much better for take out. My favorites: 1. Scallion pancakes. They’re egg roll skins, folded over with bits of scallion inside. They’re fried until just greasy, yet taste light and delicate. They’re served with a sweet garlic soy sauce, but I like to eat them plain or with a little hot mustard. 2. A thick flour coating covers chopped, sweetened pork, also served with a sweet garlic soy sauce. Wonderful. 3. Spare ribs. Their ribs are always tender with just enough char on the outside. 4. Hot and sour soup. They don’t load it up with either sugar or rubbery black mushrooms, nor do they add huge chunks of tofu to it. Their hot and sour soup is, well, hot and sour, and filled with white mushrooms and tofu sliced just thick enough to get completely saturated with the broth. 5. Beef with tomato and peppers. Sort of a pepper steak with tomatoes, this dish is perfect comfort food. In the summer, they use fresh, Jersey tomatoes, so the taste is even more intense. I haven’t had a clunker on this menu yet.
