We had high hopes based on recommendations, but were deeply disappointed by this place. Everything was fried. More important, everything was way too much fried. The result was food we could barely eat. Saddest was the scallops, which should have been plump and tasty but were overwhelmed by frying. Need we say more?

We ate here twice. The first time, we ordered fried whole belly clam, an order of steamers and a crab cake. Clams were not good. and the crab cake was deep fried. The next time a skimpy lobster roll. We also ordered the shachiemi, that was excellent. Now the fish market is great. Bought Swordfish to take home. Best Swordfish.

Food: 3.0÷5.0 Service: 2.5÷5.0 Value: 3.0÷5.0 Décor: 3.0÷5.0 Overall: 3.0÷5.0 Not that anything was bad, but I was actually not particularly impressed with the food here, and feel like a lot of the existing ratings are being inflated merely by the fact that this is a lobster/seafood shack and that there are live lobsters on display(fun fact for the tourists — every shack has ‘em). Tried the lobster roll and clam chowder. The former was fine(they offer standard cold mayo pre-made or made-to-order as well as a roll with cold lobster but topped with hot butter and on a toasted bun — I went for the third option), though with the latter I felt either didn’t have enough by way of clam and potato or I didn’t get an even mix from the pot. The chowder itself was not particularly good or bad, and the prices felt okay. Fine for a casual meal on the benches in front of the shop, but not a big deal.

Not what we expected. Ordered the fresh cold lobster roll for 17.50 and it was excellent quality lobster however it was extremely small in size and lacked flavor. Disappointed. However the market itself has plenty of other offerings and what others were eating around us looked yummy.

While on The Vineyard, you must try this place. We can order uncooked or cooked. The food and good and reasonably priced. One day we had them prepare our food(chowder, bisque, fish sandwiches and lobster rolls). Which everyone was pleased with their food. The next day we returned and bought fish and lobster and prepared at the rental. Everything was delicious!

Solid fish and chips, and a nice vibe right by the water. Good place for a quick bite to eat. Fast, fresh, and delicious.

We ordered a lobster roll($ 17, good amount of lobster, flavour was ok), clam chowder(wonderful), a plate of sashimi($ 19, good quality), and a plate of steamed clams($ 9). The problem is with the clams — there is a warning that you can’t return the clams if it contains grits. Ok, I understand that from time to time the clams might be dead and can’t spit out the grits. However, this place offers steamed clams without any process — meaning they do not sock clams in clear water ahead to clear the grits. When we got our order, each clam contained tons of grits in it that we had to throw the whole plate away. Our mouth had so much grits that we had to keep spitting… I think the place shouldn’t offer this on their menu if they dont have time to process the clams… Avoid it at all cost!

I love visiting the Vineyard during their off-season. First weekend there(for the year) and every attempt to stop at the Net Result, was thwarted for one reason or another but I made my boyfriend promise me we’d stop in before the ferry ride home. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by the friendly staff. Stepped up and ordered the hot buttered lobster roll and a cup of chowda, while waiting for the lobster roll, my boyfriend and I decided to pick up a few other items from the fish market. When it was time to pay, our total came to $ 84.47. I thought, man, that’s expensive, but paid and left the store. While in the car at the SSA, I looked at the receipt… we purchased wild salmon($ 33), crab cakes($ 15), 2 lemons($ 1.50), cooler bag($ 10.50), cup of chowda($ 4.75) and the lobster roll($ 17.50), and of course there’s tax($ 2.22)…figured, whatever, the reviews are great, can’t wait to have my first bite!!! One bite-in, and NOT what I had imagined! The lobster tasted extremely dry… as if it was frozen and defrosted multiple times. This is not an exaggeration, it is seriously the worst lobster roll, I have EVER had. And no, it did not come w/anything, just buttered dry/spongy lobster meat on a roll. It was so bad that it made me think, is this leftover lobster from last year??? I was definitely disappointed. :( So…why the two stars and not one? Well, like I said, the staff was friendly and the chowder was great! A ton of clam in every bite! Net Result, I’ll be back during the summer… and I’ll give it a second try but maybe I won’t be getting your expensive lobster roll next time.

Really fresh, no-frills, reasonably priced take-out seafood joint and fish counter. Grab a crab cake sandwich($ 3.50 on special the last time we were there) or some tasty stuffies($ 4), plonk down at one of the outside picnic tables, and have at it. Note that while their mussels are generally grit-free, their steamers are definitely not; there’s a reason they give you an extra tub of water for washing, and list on the menu that they can’t be held responsible for grit inside the steamers. So just be warned– if you’re not into grit, stick to a lobster roll or shrimp cocktail.

3.5. No frills, food seems nice and fresh. I have to have chowdah when I head out to Boston/MA. The chowder was fantastic, but the fish part of the fish and chips, not so much. I regret not going the clam sandwich route, but I was actually talked into the fish and chips by the cashier. Next time!

Decent price for fresh sea food. Would come again if I visit the island again! We got the lobster bake, a chicken sandwich, fish and chips, clam chowder and a side salad all for 56 dollars.

Yup… certain spots you hit when you’re on the island and Net Results would be one of them… Lobster Roll with melted butter no doubt and a cup of clam chowder… would’ve had a picture but it was too darn good to remember to do all that! P. S. I had the fish and chips… fish was fresh and flaky but bland IMO.

We ordered lobster bakes, fries, fish sandwiches, whole lobsters, and also cold food salads. This is a great«fast food» place. We packaged it all up for a day at the beach. Great location, cute picnic tables to wait for your food, and they have all the sides you would ever want and need with your seafood platters. I bought my nifty souvenir! See photos!

I ate lunch here after driving all over the vineyard. I got the clam platter and some steamed shrimp. I was pleasantly surprised at the portion of shrimp for 6.00 so I got two. The service was ok, I won’t focus on that but the food awesomeness! The fried clams were fresh as if they were just caught in bikini bottom. I think if you are going to have a platter you should include something else besides fries for 22.50 #imjustsaying All of this great food produced itis I had to lay down on the picnic table for a minute. I have been here a few times this week and will come here before my flight out due to the good food at a fair price

My new favorite spot on the Vineyard for fried clams. This is strictly a no-frills eatery, all the seating is outdoors. But that didn’t bother anyone, both times we came the benches were full. Fried clams were cooked just right, with a mix of small and fat clams. Very fresh and sweet and briny. For $ 20 we got about a pint, which is the best deal I’ve seen on the island so far. Also ordered a piece of bluefish that was reasonably priced to grill later. It was also of very good quality. Will definitely make a trip out here next summer!

One of my favorite places to eat on the vineyard. The prices are reasonable, and the seafood is fresh. The fried food is good as well(French fries, onion rings, chicken fingers). The only seating is outside and its limited and there isn’t a restroom, but those are the only drawbacks. Update: the staff this year! So rude. I can barely understand the girl behind the counter. My mother, who is older, couldn’t quite understand her accent and she spoke very softly. My mom wasn’t being rude and was trying to order and she gave her attitude about it. It was ridiculous.

I had clam chowder in 6 different places on Martha’s Vineyard and we came back to the Net Result for seconds! I think it is the best chowder on the island. We also grabbed shrimp cocktail and a fish sandwich and they were all delicious. It is one of the best places for cheap eats on the island too!

The Net Result is located in a tiny shopping square where the parking lot can turn into parking wars, depending how busy the season is or what time of the day you come. We hit this place just before the lunch rush and I could not contain my excitement. Really, Janice?! it’s only a fishmonger store with a few hot foods on the menu! But, I could not be MORE excited to share a Lobster Bake with the fam bam! Some of my aunties weren’t hungry and they actually ventured off to check the boutiques in the area, so more food for me! YAY! I got the $ 19.95 Lobster bake with 1.5 lbs lobster, ¾ lb clams and mussels which I shared with my sis. I find it really fun and interactive to use my hands and work hard for my food! ;-) We even had razor clams in the bunch and it’s always fun to eat that! I eyed my cousin’s lobster roll but she successfully managed to keep it away from me. The fried oysters and crab cakes were so good and crispy fries were so addicting. The net result of this food fest? a big, satisfied tummy.
