Popped into Duck Donuts today and had a great cake donut! Lines were non-existent(although, this was mid-January, tourists beware!) :) Two things they did that I particularly liked, the first was, when we were totally waffling at the front of the line, the guy was like, cool, I’ll just be chilling over here till you’re ready. When we clearly had finished, he sauntered back and took our order. Second thing was that the guy who served our donut was genuinely jovial! Joked and apologized for the wait(which was roughly 90 seconds, from order to piping hot donut). Store was clean as was the outside seating area. They get dinged just a little cause, well, they serve one donut, 97 ways. If you want a giant Boston éclair or a apple fritter, you’re still going to Dunkin.

Maybe it’s just me, but the donuts lean in between a 3 and a 4. Naturally, they are better tasting and of better quality than your run of the mill Dunkin Donuts, but they were a little too greasy for my liking. Maybe I’m just used to a «dry» cake like donut, but the grease factor wasn’t really appetizing. I’ve had the infamous Voodoo Donut in Portland, and they were more of the dry cakey base as well. I’m totally willing to give it another shot, maybe the heavy grease isn’t normal.

They rock!!! ‘Nuff said :) The donuts were so warm and fresh they almost got crushed in my hand. Sooooooo delicious. I’m so glad I don’t leave in VA Beach, because I would be fat and broke from going here constantly.

Honestly? Best donut I’ve ever had. Ordered a lemon glazed and a vanilla icing. Hot and lightly crisp outside, soft inside. Even reheated in the microwave(as suggested on the box) was great.

Duck Donuts is one of three donut shops with the same concept and their product is by far the best! The concept is fresh cake donuts topped to order! Donuts tend to get stale the next day, but Duck Donuts still maintain freshness. My favorite is strawberry glaze with rainbow sprinkles, same as my 3 year old niece. Their strawberry glaze does not have the artificial taste you will find elsewhere. In fact, all of their fruit glazes taste like the actual fruits, who would’ve thought huh? I’m also a fan of the peanut butter glaze. The crowd favorite is the maple with bacon. I commend them for not making the maple too sweet and for crisping but not burning the bacon. They do this donut very well, I just have the taste buds of a 3 year old apparently. The employees are very friendly. They have lots of Duck Don’t merchandise available. I appreciate the order forms on little clipboards so you don’t have to hold up a line while you decide. The only thing that is a challenge is the parking, it is very limited.

The donuts are excellent! Must try the maple bacon donut. Amazing! Every order is made fresh in front of you so they are alway piping hot. I wish we had a Duck Donuts back home!

Bacon maple doughnuts… Nothing else needs to be said. Great service, fantastic fresh-made doughnuts, and fair pricing. Wish I could eat breakfast here every day of the week.

These donuts are amazing and worth the hype. I was amazed by how good these were. I drove an hour round trip out of my way for these and they were worth it.

Nice products. Good business plan. No seating. The people were very friendly and offered great suggestions on donuts but the donut itself had no flavor. All of the toppings were fantastic. It is expected that a fatty food will taste, well that… fatty but these were downright greasy. Not exactly what I was looking for in a breakfast item.

Duck Donuts offers fresh, made-to-order donuts with a variety of glazes and toppings to add on. You can mix and match any flavor combination you can think of: maple bacon, cinnamon sugar with chocolate drizzle, lemon with coconut. you name it! Their donuts are the cakey type, which is sooo good fresh. If you don’t plan on eating them all at once though(trust me, I’ve thought about it), you can heat them up in the microwave for 8 – 10 seconds and they’re equally as good. It’s so nice to have a place that does something different than places like Dunkin and Krispy Kreme.

My first review was shortly after they opened. They have come a long way and made great improvements. The donuts alone are a solid 5 star!!! I do wish they had a nice seating area with tables. But, atleast they have a bench to sit on while waiting. The drive-thru is now open. The service is friendly. Be prepared to wait in a long line on the weekend though. I try to stick with off times during the week. Coffee is good and so our some of their other items on the menu. But, you can not beat their donuts!

This place is amazing. I can’t explain how good it is. All of their donuts are fresh and made to order. I get a variety each time I go. I get glazed to maple with bacon. Personally, I think glazed, powered sugar, and cinnamon sugars are excellent. They are my favorites. All the toppings and combinations are great! The service is excellent as well. People are happy to be there and happy to help you make a decision.(There are so many to choose from!). The ice coffee is excellent too!

Fair warning… these donuts are just so addicting! We’ll never eat Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme again. I love that their drive through is open more often but wish it was possible to order more than ½ dozen but I understand for time purposes. I’m still only giving a four star rating even though my husbands grabs these as a special treat for us on the weekends occasionally but they can be pretty inconsistent with the icing. Some days it’s super thick and stays put on the donut, other times you open the box and all the icing is melted into the box. Still taste delicious though!

Yummmmmm! I know, I know EVERYONE“S been here. Everyone raves about it. They say«if it ain’t Duck Doughnuts, it isn’t a doughnut.» Sunday. I’m hungry. Don’t know where to go. Driving down the street I see this pizza joint and pull over. I also see Duck Donuts and realize I can get 2 first-time visits completed at once. While I’m waiting for my pizza to get ready I mosey on over to DUCK. It smells sweet. I’m not sure how the process goes so I hang back a bit. Then I tell the cashier it is my first visit and she explains to me everything I need to know. All of the doughnuts are a vanilla base. They are made constantly so you always get a hot one. You pick your glaze and topping. Everyday of the week they have a featured special like«Sandy Beach» on Sunday. «how many would you like to try today?» she asks. Just one. I already have to eat the 10inch pizza waiting on me next door. What did I get? VANILLA/VANILLA. Boring I know. But I made the right choice. FYI they serve coffee and breakfast sandwiches. And they sell merchandise $$

Fresh, Made to Order donuts! They have quite a selection to choose from in order to make your own. However I wish they also sold special donut flavors also. But you can’t go wrong with fresh hot donuts! Wish they had more of a place to sit down and enjoy it too.

Having been to one Duck Donuts, I had to try another but I did so with trepidation. Could this one be as good as the one at Landstown? Well, it IS! Two donuts special with a large coffee for less than $ 5. I got the«Almond Joy» which is dark chocolate with coconut and peanuts and another«Maple Bacon.» Delicious and way sweet. Coffee was also very good.

1st time at this location and brought my sister and boyfriend again with me bc it’s their 1st time going to a duck donuts and heard about the craze about it. My first impression of the place was great, friendly employees who were very helpful towards customers with questions. I acknowledge people even for the little things. Bought their famous Maple bacon donut and other assorted donuts for another selection. They have different type of donut coating such as: glaze, maple, chocolate, etc. And toppings such as chocolate/rainbow sprinkles, coconut, peanuts, and bacon. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes sweets. The only con about this place is that they close early. Mon-wed til 3pm. And the rest of the days until 7pm only. If they were open longer they would make more money, especially since it’s a big hit.

Like bacon and doughnuts? Try their maple bacon doughnut! To some it might be an odd combo, but the sweet and salty on top of a warm, crumbly cake doughnut is absolutely amazing. When it’s fresh out of the fryer and then glazed immediately, it’s heavenly. Unfortunately, if you go when it’s slow, they may try to hand you off a box of cold doughnuts that were made a few hours ago like they did to me. Interestingly, although I saw the cook making new doughnuts, they were setting them to the side and giving customers the older boxes that were previously made and were no longer warm. If I wanted old doughnuts, I’d go to Dunkin :( Please Duck, say no to cold donuts!

one of the best donuts ive had. EVER. all are vanilla cake donuts and then you customize your donuts with different glazes and toppings. MADETOORDER! one of the lightest cake donuts ive had — def not dense like some cake donuts can get. we got the powdered sugar, almond joy(chocolate glaze, shredded coconut, almonds), and cinnamon sugar w chocolate drizzle. wow. this place is bomb. good thing im just visiting the area or else i would be so fat from stuffing donuts in my face all the time.

I’ve been here twice so I’ll just do a double review. I was introduced to Duck Donuts by a few friends a couple of weeks ago. They told me they were absolutely delicious and not too expensive. I was finally able to check it out with them one Friday. It wasn’t busy at all. We walked in and were greeted by a young man wearing these cool jogger pants(yes, I noticed the awesome jogger pants he had on because I’ve been wanting a pair myself). Anyway, I tried one of the samples they had on the front counter. It was so yummy! It was a piece of their cinnamon sugar donut. I knew I was going to order one of those as soon as I tasted it. I still wasn’t sure what else I should get, so I looked at the order sheet. The girl recommended something with powdered sugar, and I love lemon so I decided to try that. I also figured I’d try a maple bacon donut for the heck of it. It should be noted that maple bacon sounded absolutely disgusting to me at first, but I’ll try anything once. It didn’t take long for our donuts to come out, thank goodness. I was dying to try them. When we got in the car I pretty much made a mess of myself and spilled powdered sugar everywhere, but the darn donuts were so good, I figured«that’s what washing machines are for,» and kept eating. The employees were pretty friendly and the service was quick so I knew I’d definitely be returning. I went back this past Friday and ordered a dozen donuts for my family. My family loves Krispy Kreme but I knew they would like Duck Donuts even more if they tried them. I ordered two of everything that I thought they’d enjoy: cinnamon sugar, chocolate glaze with chocolate sprinkles, maple bacon, strawberry, vanilla glaze with rainbow sprinkles, and lemon glaze with powdered sugar. My mom is hard to please but she loved the chocolate glaze with chocolate sprinkles. In fact, she said they are much better than Krispy Kreme. I would mention what my sister and dad thought of them but to be honest, I’m not really sure considering I ended up eating most of their donuts myself. Yeah… fail. Anyway, I love Duck Donuts and can’t wait to go back!
