We stopped by here Sunday around 2:30pm and the young gal that finally came out of the back was not to thrilled to be working on Sunday(that’s the impression we got from her attitude). This was our first time here and sadly(for my husband’s sake) they were out fried rice. We both ended up getting Pancit combos and I was impressed by the portion size and price. The pieces of chicken could have been a little bit more tender and not so dry but overall the Pancit was good.

We’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while now. Nestled in a little shopping center it’s hard to miss. Take your time to find it because it’s worth it. The pepperoni bread is amazing and the pancit and lumpia are excellent. We will definitely be coming again to sample some of the other treats.

Absolutely delicious! Sometimes you have to wait quite a bit of time but it’s always worth it! It’s kind of hidden with limited parking; however, the pepperoni bread is more than worth it

Everything I’ve had here is good but if I’m in the area the one thing I’ll buy every single time is the baklava. It’s so good and at less than $ 2 for a piece big enough to share(not that I’m sharing my baklava with anyone, it’s less than $ 2, buy your own piece!) it’s a fantastic deal! Edited to add: I finally tried the pepperoni bread. I understand now.

I’ve been coming here since I was 9 years old and this place never fails to deliver. Best known for their pepperoni bread!

Clearly some people know nothing about Filipino Bakeries after reading these reviews. Because anyone who is really from Virginia Beach always talks highly of Glory’s baked goods! Yeah, the Pancit and Lumpia is good! However, you got to go for the Pepperoni Bread, and get two! One with sauce and one with no sauce. I don’t even like pepperoni but this bread is the truth!

I have been going to Gloria’s for years the lumpia, pepperoni bread pancit, and sweet rolls are delicious, very reasonable prices. I really enjoy going there on the weekends and getting a pepperoni bread. It’s my go to place for delicious lumpia for parties or just for myself.

Quaint and comfortable little Filipino bakery! Their catering trays of lumpia and pancit are well priced for the amount of food they contain!

Quaint spot — it’s a little small inside but they crank out some marvelous food. I don’t come here often enough but it’s mainly because I love my mom’s cooking. Their pepperoni bread is amazing — if you get it fresh the mozzarella inside is nice and gooey. Fantastic as a snack or meal, the pepperoni bread is worth the visit. I got a quick bite — the fried rice combo which came with three pieces of lumpia. That was a tasty meal and actually filled me up. If you’re looking to try some Filipino food this is a good place to start. Quick, easy and delicious, you’re good to go when you step in here. JV

My favorite place to get pepperoni bread! It’s the best! I love it even more when it’s fresh! You can ask for a side of sauce, it’s just so tasty! One of the stops that you must go to for pepperoni bread!

There was a spider in my pancit! Before leaving the establishment I asked for sauce for the pepperoni bread and the lady said it was in the bag. Of course I got home to find there was no sauce! I will not go back to this location. Also, the lumpia had very little filling but a lot of shell.

I have been going to Glory’s Bakery since I was a little kid and I still love it to this day. You truly can’t go wrong with anything they serve. Some of my favorites are the pancit, lumpia, chicken adobo, and of course the pizza bread. The ladies that work in the bakery are always very friendly and super helpful. Glory’s is also a great option when it comes to catering large events. The prices are very reasonable for what you get!

Listen… unless the next word out of your mouth is, Im a fat kid and love Pepperoni and Cheese and BAKEDGOODS, then i don’t want to hear it. This place is what it is, authentic, sure it may not always seem like the preppy fresh smelling place on the block but you know what, its authentic and thats what Matters. When you come into a place like this, unless you grew up in the culture that the food is based in, your an outsider and you should be humble and give things a try, not expecting a cut out cookie cutter version of a Pilipino panera! Ill be back, Fat and proud!

When I first heard there was a filipino bakery around with pandesal AND pancit, I was ecstatic– and I have yet to be let down! My new filipino favorite, their pepperoni bread, is to die for. A family in our church buys a basket full each sunday to have before the service, and if I’m ever thinking about sleeping in, it helps to remember that bread that awaits me(and the service, of course;). I go to Glory’s as often as possible, its a small little shop but you can dine in if you want. They’re friendly enough, always have freshly baked goods and lots to choose from, as well as some other fun asian favorites for sell in the dry foods and drinks section. I’ll miss this place when we have to move!

I was in desperate need of a bakery. I’m fro NY where bakeries are prevalent. I walked in and could not bring myself to purchase anything. Not only was I the only customer in the restaurant but the items didn’t appear fresh. I looked through the case for something to purchase and a female employee just stood and stared. Some items were wrapped in plastic and some were stuck to the paper in the case. Either way, customer service lacked and the food was not visually appealing.

Saw this place in the area while I was having dinner so I walked over. I was assaulted by a horrible smell that I originally thought was coming from the seafood store next door. I realized that the smell was coming from this shop. The food in the display cabinet looked really delicious but I couldn’t get past the smell. I would be more than willing to come back and i hope I could improve my review but unless that smell gets fixed, I won’t be back…

I was in the neighborhood and I saw this place via Unilocal. Thought I would try them since the over flowing rave reviews is pretty much inviting. I was actually excited because I was craving Filipino delicacies and I’ve noticed a disturbing and horrible smell coming from the premises. At first, I thought there must be something or somewhere close to the place but as I stood longer the smell is within the restaurant. I wanted to buy something but then I was hesitant so I decided to leave. I honestly thought the sweets on the counter looks good. Maybe some other time or maybe not. I’m debating myself if I’m willing to give a try. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not picky it just that I exactly know what I want. It seems like this place didn’t work with me at all.

Ever since I can remember Glory’s Bakery has been serving the Kempsville area with their creations for years. It is one of the original shops still standing in the Woods Corner Shopping Center amongst all the other places that have come and gone. Almost all of my life I’ve been coming here specifically for pepperoni bread. As a kid I used to also bike here with my friends to spend quarters on pecan tarts and lumpia. Very little has changed here and it’s obviously serving them well. They never disappoint with their pepperoni bread. Now a days I usually get it as a combo, which comes with marinara sauce and lumpia. all Really great when they’re hot & fresh. I’ve been to plenty of parties that had their food prepared from this bakery. I ordered a fresh batch of 9 pepperoni bread recently to bring to an engagement party, which cost about $ 36. It was a hit at the party and went pretty fast.

I come here if I don’t feel like making my own pizza bread. This is the best and only place I know to get pepperoni bread. You Have to eat it while it’s hot or warm it up before eating it becuz the cheese inside is tough(not the melty kind), with very thin slices of pepperoni. Overall descent size for about $ 4. They also serve a 6ft size pepperoni bread for $ 25. Great crowd pleaser. They have other traditional Filipino baked goods like Siopao, baklava, ensamada, empanada, even lumpia, pancit and halo halo to name a few. Place is more like a pick up and go spot. Sweet ppl and gets pack during holidays and definitely today(Super Bowl).
