The food is always great and the service is out of this world!!! The atmosphere is great for dinner or just watching some football on Saturday and Sunday.

I love everything about this place! Great drinks (love their crushes), and amazing food! We love their trivia night! It’s a nice local place near home and we can’t get enough!

Cute neighborhood place. Service was just ok although everyone is very friendly. We enjoyed our dinner (it was Mexican night. Entrees came at almost the same time as the appetizer… but was ok.

We didn’t expect much from The Green Parrot but still had a pretty mixed experience. The server was very nice and attentive at first but disappeared for almost 30 mins after we ordered. Once she showed up again, she finally brought out our appetizer, which wasn’t exactly cold but had clearly been out for a while. We ordered the crab dip, which was tasty and had lots of crab, but the cheese had entirely hardened on top because it was sitting out for so long. Due to the appetizer taking so long, our salad and meals came in unfortunately quick succession after the crab dip, not leaving us time to really finish anything. Two of us ordered one of their specials, Mexican rice bowls, which were fine but nothing fancy and not steaming hot. My step dad ordered the broiled scallops, which were fresh and ok, but not super flavorful.
Overall, not a bad experience, especially given the price and proximity to the water and where we were staying, but not a great experience either.

Went there with girlfriend at the recommendation of a work friend. I was not disappointed. The fish tacos were on point, service was good and the beer was cold. I was a happy camper

Great local hidden spot. I enjoyed the service they were very helpful. The fish and tuna tacos were amazing. The nachos were deliciohs.

Came here for the first time today and was a little skeptical cause the outside wasn’t all that appealing. I got inside and was overwhelmed by the amount of options they had. I decided to get the crab dip appetizer and it was amazing! I love crab dip and theirs was so warm, cheesy, and yummy. I was a little bummed about the dip being $ 13 though. I got the crab cake sandwich with onion rings. I personally did not like the onion rings and thought the crab cake sandwich was missing something but that’s just me. I’m always weird about crab cakes but it was really good and big and plump. My husband got hot boneless strips and they were good and warm. We also got a pomegranate mixed drink that was super strong but good. The service was good and our waitress was friendly. I would definitely come back here and just get the crap dip and a drink.

I had lunch here today and the pirate salad was amazing. The staff was super friendly. The service was a little slow, I wasn’t sure why because there was only 5 people In the restaurant. Other than that a very present experience.

This is a locals only place. First time there. Food was great, and so was the service. It looks a little like a dive bar, but the building has been there from the ’50’s, and has had several other restaurants, most notably «Frankie’s». They have an appetizer «Baileys Oysters» that was created by the «Mayor of Chicks Beach». We had a very good time.

Stick with the basics and you won’t be disappointed. Burgers are great, but avoid the nachos. Nice waitstaff, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Their burgers are amazing! Also, huge fan of the seafood options they serve. Especially the tuna wrap! Laid back atmosphere and always friendly, quick service.

Poor service, poor drinks. Cindy, or the mean blond, the evening bartender, got made when I told her not to shake our drinks on ice and we would rather em straight up so she threw a hissy fit and threw all the alcohol away while yelling for us to leave. Came back months later (it is in the neighborhood) and she still sucked. To think, I dared ask for a drink how I would like it. Try HK. Much nicer service and YOU can pick how YOU want your drinks served!

Great happy hour! Food is good as well. Very local atmosphere and lots of great servers and bartenders. Always had a quality experience. The ribs are some of the best I have had in the area and the 25% off on Saturdays is a great deal!!!

Food is awesome!!! Prices are reasonable. Service is second to none!!! Life is good in Chic’s Beach. Green Parrot plays a big part in that lifestyle.

I still like the Parrot, but I’ve found that you should stick to the bar food offered & not the seafood/​entrée dinners. It’s definitely not worth the price.
We ordered the tuna bites for an appetizer & there was a strong fishy taste. It reminded me of when I’ve bought frozen tuna from Trader Joes. I almost changed my mind for my entrée, but decided against my better judgement & ordered the broiled scallops. I only received about 6 small ones. They were chewy and about as fresh as frozen ones can taste. Two sides came with so I chose the cheese grits & mixed veggies. The mixed veggies were straight from one of those microwavable steamer bags. Thank goodness that the cheese grits were yummy, because for $ 22 I felt super ripped off.
I feel bad giving the place negative reviews, because I do enjoy coming there & they have yummy burgers/​sandwiches. They also have great happy prices & daily specials. I’ll just stick to the classic bar food options next time.

I really enjoy this spot for lunch. The food is always great! The service is pretty good too. The food seems to take a bit long to prepare so I probably wouldn’t recommend it for a «quick bite to eat». But for me it’s worth the wait :)

Great «hole in the wall» place! The service was great and the food was amazing! I had fresh fried flounder and blue cheese fries — Sean had the Monster Burger with bacon cheese tots. AWESOME!

The prices seemed a little steep for a hole in the wall place. I ordered a burger with fries and one draft. I paid $ 20 with tip. Everything was really good. Two of my friends ordered a full rack of ribs to share with two sides. The portion was huge and they couldn’t even finish it when they shared it. At first, they were really enjoying their ribs. As they got toward the middle of the rack they just decided to leave it because it was mostly fat. I did not venture over to the bar side of the establishment so I can not comment on that area. As we were leaving around 9pm Saturday, they were re-​arranging some tables in the dining area for what seemed like it was going to be karaōke. The smell that I read about in previous reviews is gone.
