I enjoy shopping at the Heritage Store. I’m overall happy just walking through the door, because it smells very pleasant and my favorite area of this store happens to be the soaps, conveniently located near the front door. I like how the essential oils are at eye level and they have samples to try the different aromas. I love the shake mixes that you can purchase ~ my favorite flavor is the banana. This store makes me feel happy.

It’s really small. I come here cuz I’m allergic to the world and have a good gluten free selection. It’s expensive so I need to just get a few things. I like that they have a lot of the natural vitamins and holistic foods I can’t get anywhere but Amazon or online. I support them because they are not a big franchise and give good quality of goods. I like their juice bar they have.

Sadly, I’ve been a patron of the Heritage for many years and handled their unprofessional treatment in the past, although this one takes the cake. I was greeted at the center a couple of times with a mocking question of why are you back again. Then upon checking out was told I was wrong, told to get out of here, and that I was being inflexible because I was clear and insistent on the tip that I wanted to leave. I found this«healing center» to be in bad repair, cruel, and lacking compassion as well as empathy. I do not recommend anyone to go to this place unless they have a flack jacket and are prepared for cruelty. I don’t see this as a place for healing at all.

Of course, the Vibe has changed since our Mayor(SESSOMS) has made all of the good local shops move so far away from the ocean front so that he can bilk us and pay his croonies(hemmmm) I mean put up a bunch of useless fast food places, this is not the fault of locals who hate that nor The Heritage. Sadly, service is so low, it would not matter where the place was located. I was in yesterday and asked a person placing items on a shelf for assistance. I felt that she must have worked there, since she had on a name badge, and had a fist full of stock in her hand. She said, oh… um…no help comes from customer service… and then turned around and said –with her back to me-there are two people here to help you. I said, actually there are three, the other two are busy that leaves you-and clearly you don’t want to work here. I left. Sad.

I love this place!!! Carol was a pleasure to talk to and ask questions. My husband I came here only looking to get a healthy smoothie, but we received so much more! We will definitely come back to visit when we’re in the Virginia Beach area.

Everything is great here! A wee bit expensive. I could get a few of these things at Kroger for a dollar or more less. I love the atmosphere here though! Great to grab a snack or two from the bulk section =)

What a great local store! I visited here upon recommendation from JoAnne Prosser, who owns a successful AirBNB in town(Check out her permaculture AirBNB tiny house art studio. I loved it!). This co-op grocery store gives a very nice appearance with vegetables, fruits, and healthy food choices The body care and supplement products are tucked in its own neat little corner, along side incense, greeting cards and bulk offerings of Zum soaps and bath salts. Good Goods feature locally grown produce and handmade items. Fits nicely into the electric culture of Lexington. There is something for everyone here. I should mention that there is an attached restaurant that offers fresh juices, smoothies and other healthy fare. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Loved having dinner here(veggie wrap) and a green juice. So tasty and filling to soothe my hungry tum. I only wish they were open before 8am. Some of us need to be at work by 8. Great customer service here. You must check it out!

If you’re looking for a wide selection of health and plant-based foods, Heritage is just for you. If you want a friendly staff, then no. I love their bulk aisle. Spices, herbs, tea, and nuts. They always have the shea butter and oils I want. I sometimes had a hard time finding avocado oil, but Heritage has it. I love the variety of handmade soaps they offer and the raw food section. I always feel weird about buying pre-sliced melons, but not with Heritage. I haven’t wandered back to the café, but I’ve seen it from afar… It seems a bit sketch. The look of the place doesn’t really fit with the theme. I think if the décor was a little darker it might help, but it’s so spacious and doesn’t have much filling it up despite having full shelves. Maybe some hardwood flooring would help. I had been looking for a place to buy FriChik in VA Beach and I thought Heritage might have it, so I went in and asked. Three of the people who run the customer service area are very nice and even if they don’t have something, they can tell you when they think it’ll be back in stock or where you might be able to buy it. Unfortunately, there is one surly-looking woman who works there and always has an attitude. She never smiles or asks if you need help. I went in, asked about FriChik, and it was almost like she was trying her hardest to dismiss me. «We don’t have that. Never heard of it.» That’s all she said and walked off. Plus… the cashiers are constantly in a funk. They’re never happy. I think with some remodeling and more employees who are happy about their job, this place would be welcoming.

This place is poorly run when compared to organic markets elsewhere. To their credit, there is a full stock of organic produce, health food items, vegan items, and a raw section. They also have a strong line of healthcare products and a café in the back. But overall this market has no ‘vibe’ to it. It’s poorly designed, poorly staffed, not particularly clean, and with staff who aren’t particularly friendly. If you’re vegan this is basically the only option in town, and I wish them all the best at improving over time.

I wish this place were a bit closer, I would be here probably once a week. Found some great items here that I can’t find anywhere else in the area. The employees are super friendly and seem to generally like what they do.

I must admit I’m in love with Heritage! This market is my go to spot for herbs, kombucha, local raw honey and kefir. They have a smoke rock salt(bulk aisle) that is to die for. I sprinkle it on fish and boneless/skinless chicken. Yum! Heritage also sells spiritual items, spiritual books, crystals, peace sign shirts, etc. They even have organic wine! The store has such a peaceful and positive vibe. I enjoy soaking up the zen! They have ample parking and the staff is always helpful. I give them 4 stars, because they can be a bit pricey! Catching my favorites on sale is always a plus! Don’t forget to rub the huge quartz crystal sitting at the front of the store. #goodenergy

What a peaceful natural and organic shop! I happened to come here aft lunch near here. I’m super lucky that they have a wine tasting. The bottles don’t say organic but the staff says they are. I bought a white wine again. They should keep port at room temp armature tho.

Just check it out. Groceries. Bulk goods. Organic produce. Natural skincare and beauty products. Every vitamin and supplement you can imagine. They have classes here. There is a café in the back. That staff are helpful, friendly, usually knowledgeable about their inventory. Special dietary needs? They likely have what you need. If your goal is to go natural regarding skin and beauty products at least make a trip.

If I was a vegan, owned a Toyota Prius, and was a militant opponent of anything non-organic and GMO, then I would think this place was paradise. However, I am not so I allow myself to be shocked at the prices they charge. The guy who cashed out in line ahead of me walked out with a bottle of water and one small plastic bag of items. He paid $ 79 and didn’t so much as flinch when the cashier gave him the total. On the bright side, I applaud their emphasis on selling locally raised produce from such places as New Earth Farms in Pungo. That I am a fan of for sure. I also use miso in some recipes at home and this is about the only place that carries the brand I like. The End.

A once great store now reduced to a quivering pile of confusion. Good for incense and chewing gum. Everything else is too expensive. It will be closed within a year.

The food selection here is mediocre to poor; you can find a better selection at some smaller stores like Organic Food Depot on Commuter Road. The selection of supplements can’t be beat. If you can’t find something elsewhere, they have it here. They carry regular herbal supplements, all of the Edgar Cayce remedies(it is an Edgar Cayce store, after all), and lots of traditional Chinese Medicine items. That said, the prices are pretty outrageous on just about everything, so I order online from Amazon most of the time unless I need something ASAP. Their prices are often double or triple what other places charge. Their juice/smoothie bar is excellent. All of the produce is organic, which is something of a miracle nowadays. It also costs a small fortune. You could easily spend $ 100 on just a hand basket of stuff(or even less). The staff is hit or miss. Some are extremely friendly, some are extremely unfriendly. If you are looking for local honey, this is the place to get it. You can save some money by bringing your own jar, but they sell different sized jars, too. It comes from Golden Angels Apiary in the Shenendoah Valley and costs $ 3.99/lb.

Sure miss the old location. I was sad to see the tiny gift shop area in the new store. Not the same vibes as the old place.

Sells my product! Thank you! Well we sell organic, food grade edible, anti bacterial non toxic sun care products. Unlike other sun care products we focus on the deep UVA rays which stop long term affects like aging, skin cancer, and wrinkling. We are non allergenic so people who can’t put on suncare can now because we have what they need. Also unlike banana boat we don’t have genetic changing hormone toxins.

This is the place to shop when you absolutely cannot find an item anywhere else. Though their selection is limited, it is the hard to find items that are generally found here. I have noticed that these types of places in this area are particularly small. It is hit or miss as far as the staff being friendly. Be prepared to shell out a small fortune for exorbitantly marked up items.

If I need any health food or vitamins, Heritage Natural Market is the place i head to at the Beach. When you get there, sit in the parking lot for a few minutes and you will notice that at least 50% of the customers leave with a white cup in their hand. Here’s why. They make KILLER smoothies! I am seriously addicted to their Dreamsicle — Banana, almond milk, Orange /Banana Fruitein Smoothie. Their café has some very healthy and tasty items on their menu. Make sure you check it out! Don’t be put off by the bohemian atmosphere. You’ll see plenty of dreads and lots of old hippies, but everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. I dig the local produce. Lots of natural products. You can even get a massage here! You’ll be guaranteed to leave this place feelin’ groovy!
